About Brake Parts
Brake parts for Harley-Davidson and Indian riders are collected here by product type. This is the full list of everything classed as brakes, while the shorter Brakes page covers the same topic with a bagger focus and a longer buying guide. If you want a guide before you buy, start there.
What this page contains
Pads are a staple. EBC sintered Double-H and Extreme Pro sets cover Softail, Dyna, Touring and Sportster, and Harddrive has sintered pads for Harley Trike. Rotors from Lyndall Brakes include high carbon steel Phoenix rear rotors and 9-spoke Bow Tie fronts. Goodridge sells braided brake lines in lengths such as 20 inches, and Harddrive supplies master cylinder rebuild kits and chrome rear master cylinders. Hawg Halters Inc makes 6-piston radial mount calipers in black anodized finish.
Fitment checklist
Brake parts vary by front or rear, rotor diameter, caliper style, ABS and model year. A pad that fits a Softail may not fit a Touring caliper, and Trike and Indian parts are separate again. Read the fitment line, and when changing lines or calipers make sure the length and banjo fittings match.
After any brake work, bleed the system, bed in the pads and check lever feel. You can also compare the parts on the suspension and forks page when upgrading handling together.
