About Sawicki
Sawicki builds stainless steel exhaust systems with a distinctive look, and the catalog here focuses on its Cannon family. This brand page lists the Sawicki range for Harley-Davidson and Indian models, from slip-ons to full systems.
Systems and mufflers
The Cannon 2-into-1 full-length system fits Softail, while the 2-into-1 Shorty Cannon slip-on in Big Inch black fits Dyna. The FTR Cannon brushed stainless slip-on muffler fits Indian Scout. Muffler packing kits for serviceable Sawicki mufflers are available for maintenance.
What to know
Full systems replace the stock head pipes and change flow more than slip-ons. Check the heat shield, O2 sensor and bag clearance notes in the listing. Slip-ons are simpler to install but only replace the mufflers. Stainless finish needs periodic cleaning to stay bright, and the muffler packing can be replaced as it wears.
Tuning and use
A new exhaust changes how air moves through a fuel-injected engine, so pair it with a tune from engine management. Exhaust parts are sold for off-road and closed-course use only. See exhaust for other brands, and Cobra for another exhaust maker. Sawicki also lists a few hardware items in the catalog, and stock varies by model.
Slip-on mufflers sit lower on some bikes than others, so check ground clearance, saddlebag fit and passenger peg position before you order. Many riders also like to keep their stock pipes so they can return the bike to stock when they sell it. Use new gaskets and clamps, and re-check the fasteners after the first heat cycle.
