About Indian Chieftain, Roadmaster & Springfield Parts
The Indian Chieftain, Roadmaster and Springfield share the Thunderstroke engine family and a similar chassis, which is why parts often cross between them. This page collects parts tagged for those models, so you can shop by year and trim instead of searching the whole Indian catalog.
The Thunderstroke bikes at a glance
- Chieftain: the bagger of the family, from 2014
- Roadmaster: the full touring model with trunk and passenger comfort, from 2015
- Springfield: the windshield-and-bags touring model, from 2016
What is listed
Grips from Avon and Kuryakyn are the largest group, with Slipstreamer and National Cycle windshields close behind. Motion Pro cables, levers, Cobra exhaust, Mustang seats, PSR levers and EBC brake pads follow, along with footpegs and body parts. Thunderstroke engines were built in 111 and 116 cubic inch versions, so match tuning and engine parts to your exact model and year.
Fitment notes
Trim matters as well as year: Classic, Dark Horse, Elite and Limited can differ in details such as windshields, floorboards and seats. Some parts, such as grips, cables and tools, are shared with Harley-Davidson. The liquid-cooled Challenger has its own page, Indian Challenger parts. See also Chieftain exhaust and Indian Motorcycle parts. Exhaust and tuning parts are for off-road and closed-course use only.
