Handlebars for Harley-Davidson and Indian bikes, in a range of rises and finishes.

About Handlebars

Handlebars change how the bike fits you, and how it looks from the saddle. This page lists handlebars and related parts for Harley-Davidson and Indian, with the year and model bar to filter by bike. Bars are among the most year-specific parts on a bagger, so use it.

Brands and styles

Wild 1 supplies the most bars, with ape hangers and bagger bars, Harddrive adds ape hangers and drag-style bars, and Burly Brand lists T-bars and bagger bars. Baggernation offers monkey bars, including pre-wired, and Forbidden makes tall risers and bars. ODI and Kuryakyn each add a few.

Popular styles

  • Monkey bars and ape hangers raise the grips for a high, open reach
  • T-bars sit lower and flatter with a sporty look
  • Drag-style and low-rise bars pull the reach forward and down
  • Risers raise stock or aftermarket bars

Fitment checklist

Touring bars may be pre-wired kits or bare bars that need your harness extended. Taller bars often need longer cables and hydraulic lines, and newer bikes use handlebar-mounted electronics, so confirm your year. Fairing clearance matters on Road Glide and Street Glide. Sit on the bike and hold your hands where the grips will be; shoulders should stay relaxed and wrists straight. Browse risers, complete control kits and cables and lines to finish the job.

Handlebars FAQ

Will a taller bar need longer cables and lines?
Usually yes. Throttle, clutch, brake and wire lengths often need to increase, and pre-wired kits include them.
What is the difference between a pre-wired and a bare bar?
A pre-wired bar has the switch housings and wiring installed. A bare bar needs your harness moved over, and may need extensions.
Will 2024 or newer bars fit older bikes?
Not reliably. Wiring and mounting changed on newer bikes.
Do bars affect fairing clearance?
Yes. On Road Glide and Street Glide, check clearance on full lock.
What are risers?
Risers raise the bar mount so you can keep your stock bar or an aftermarket bar at a new height.
