About Softail Exhaust
Cobra and Sawicki share this list. Cobra holds the larger count, with slip-on mufflers in styles like Speedster 909, 3-inch RPT and NH Series, while Sawicki offers 2-into-1 exhausts in shorty, cannon, mid-length and full-length forms, in brushed stainless, black and black ceramic. Sawicki prices run from about $1,400 to $2,350 and Cobra slip-ons start near $370.
A page full of generations
Tags go back to 1984, and the list shows it: a Harddrive Shovelhead exhaust stud conversion kit for Evolution, Sawicki entries labeled Twin Cam Softail, Dyna and Touring, and Milwaukee-Eight Softail pieces. DEI heat shield liner kits and Harddrive flange kits complete the range.
Because Sawicki lists Dyna and Touring exhausts alongside Softail ones, a Softail buyer should scan for the word Softail and the Milwaukee-Eight or Twin Cam label in the title before looking at finish. The 2-into-1 designs replace more of the stock system than a slip-on, which changes the fitting job.
Cobra and Sawicki make up most of the list, with DEI and Harddrive adding the small items. Cobra prices run from $371 to $1,345, Sawicki from $1,400 to $2,354, and the DEI heat shield liners from $43 to $78.
A fuel tune is the usual partner for any exhaust. Everything on this page is for off-road and closed-course use. Next: Softail parts, Low Rider ST exhaust, Fat Bob exhaust and Cobra.
