Yes — the key is replaceable. Contact ABUS or your dealer with your lock serial number to order a new key.

Is this lock keyed alike to other motorcycle locks I own?

Motorcycle Stolen READ

Just a warning to other riders, this lock is great but don't ever leave it attached to something when you're off riding.

I would leave mine attached to a pole outside my house while I was at work. Thieves filled the lock cylinder with glue so I couldn't use it and that night my bike got stolen. ALWAYS TAKE IT WITH YOU!

Secure piece of mind.

What a tough lock. This lock wont fit into your bike back solo seat space but city granit extreme will. I have both and this lock is much heavier and bulkier so it has to stay at one spot like apartment complex locked to a pole and then you lock you bike. Seriously if no lock is perfect lock from theft but why bother with the lock if another bike is parked couple stalls back without anything. The less time thiefs can spend next to joke the better thats just a comment sense.
The lock features a heavy lock compartment and nice sleeve that will protect the paint.
The chain is not too long so you have to be preatty close to a pole or to what you want to lock it to.
I personally lock my from rear going though rear wheel and frame so no wheel can be taken or they will have to take the frame or someone-how cut the lock.
For city type going places like mall i would reccomend city granit city extreme and it will fit 07 gsxr 600 solo seat space bo problem. I had it done and used it a lot.
No matter this is the top as you can go. First i though buying on guard but then came across this abus lock and now i have two.
I must say it is pricy but think about how much your bike cost with all the upgrades u put to it and then its your toy so secure it and minimize a risk of being takes somewhere else it doesnt want to be.
Take care and ride safe.

Expensive, but after having my bike stolen, piece of mind

If you really read up on how to keep your bike from being stolen, you realize there is no silver bullet. You need a layered approach: multiple things a thief must overcome to steal your bike. I live in an apartment complex which bike thieves see as their personal bike shopping mall. My new bike is in a garage, behind a car, chained to a water pipe.

The chain itself is heavy duty, and the outside fabric protects against scratches. Yes, it could be longer, but you don't want it to be too long (opens up to hammer or freeze attacks). The lock unlocks but the link doesn't fall out, meaning it won't pop out and scratch/damage your bike. I'll admit, it's annoying that I have to go to this locking/unlocking every time I ride, but it's still cheaper than my insurance deductible, and it's less annoying than waking up to missing bike.

Nice

Three days after I got this an attempt was made to steal my bike. The Abus lock was a good deterrent. Better than the Oxford lock I had by far!

best lock ever!

I had other cable type locks before but this lock is the best! the only thing I wished it had was just a few more links to make the chain just a little bit longer, other than that I have full confidence in this chain will make thieves leave my bike alone!!
