Frequently Asked Questions

How much lower can I go — 1" or 2"?

The kit includes components for both 1" and 2" drops. You choose during installation based on desired ride height and geometry.

Will my forks still handle bumps after lowering?

Yes. The progressive springs are engineered to soak up small impacts while remaining stiff enough for larger hits and cornering loads.

Do I need a professional to install this?

Fork disassembly is required, which involves oil draining and spring removal. Most riders use a shop, but experienced DIY builders can handle it with proper tools.

Will this fit my 2018+ Dyna?

No — this kit is for 2006-2017 Dyna models with 49mm forks. Newer Dyna models use different fork specifications.

Does lowering affect handling?

Lowering geometry slightly increases rake and trail, which can make the bike slightly slower to turn and more stable in a straight line.

Look fantastic on Triumph Bonneville T120

Thanks to Stuart Fillingham's YouTube video, I bought these. Couldn't be happier. A bit heavier than I expected but that just goes to the ruggedness of these panniers.

Love. These.

The style is awesome! Love the relaxed look with all the trim to make them classy too. Easy to get in and out of...really like the flip fully open and the finger hole snaps.<br />Great bag, perfect size for the HD Street 750!

Sweet

The Dark Oak canvas bags fit my Olive Gold Harley Slim S great! The fit and finish add that nostalgic look to an already classy bike. They are a bit small, but I didn't need to move my signals to make them fit, though plate relocation would be required had I not already moved it. They are a great addition and I can't wait to show them off.

Commuting, not touring

I sent them back. They looked nice, but they were too small for my application

Burley Brand Voyager throw over.

Styling looks excellent. Build quality looks good, but there are definitey gaps in the lid closures where the rain can get in. The buckle snaps are easy to open and close but the tend to come unsnapped from just normal freeway riding speeds. The bags still stay closed because of the strong clips,, but the cool-loking bucklet snap come open. Would I but them again... probably. I might look at the black ones for better weather proofing. The olive onmes do looks fantastic, though, on my flat black T100. Very easy to take off and put on; takes only a couple of minutes. I used a universal rack assembly.
