Frequently Asked Questions

How much will this lower my Touring?

Rear lowers up to 2.5" with the 10.5" shocks. Front lowers up to 2" with the drop-in fork springs.

Do I need to disassemble the forks to install the springs?

No — the fork springs drop in on most models. FLH models require sliding the fork legs down for cap access, but full disassembly is not needed.

How long does installation take?

The entire kit installs in under an hour with basic hand tools.

Will this fit my 2013 Touring?

Yes — this kit covers 1980-2013 Touring (FLT) models. Always verify wheel clearance and travel before installing shocks shorter than OEM.

What should I check before installing?

Verify ground clearance under the fender and swingarm, and confirm wheel travel is not restricted by the shorter shocks compared to your stock setup.

Look fantastic on Triumph Bonneville T120

Thanks to Stuart Fillingham's YouTube video, I bought these. Couldn't be happier. A bit heavier than I expected but that just goes to the ruggedness of these panniers.

Love. These.

The style is awesome! Love the relaxed look with all the trim to make them classy too. Easy to get in and out of...really like the flip fully open and the finger hole snaps.<br />Great bag, perfect size for the HD Street 750!

Sweet

The Dark Oak canvas bags fit my Olive Gold Harley Slim S great! The fit and finish add that nostalgic look to an already classy bike. They are a bit small, but I didn't need to move my signals to make them fit, though plate relocation would be required had I not already moved it. They are a great addition and I can't wait to show them off.

Commuting, not touring

I sent them back. They looked nice, but they were too small for my application

Burley Brand Voyager throw over.

Styling looks excellent. Build quality looks good, but there are definitey gaps in the lid closures where the rain can get in. The buckle snaps are easy to open and close but the tend to come unsnapped from just normal freeway riding speeds. The bags still stay closed because of the strong clips,, but the cool-loking bucklet snap come open. Would I but them again... probably. I might look at the black ones for better weather proofing. The olive onmes do looks fantastic, though, on my flat black T100. Very easy to take off and put on; takes only a couple of minutes. I used a universal rack assembly.
