Frequently Asked Questions

Are these boots waterproof?

Yes. Hipora weatherproof lining keeps moisture out while allowing breathability to prevent sweat buildup.

Can I replace the insoles if they wear out?

Yes — the insoles are fully removable and replaceable, so you can swap them for custom orthotics or aftermarket insoles.

How tall are these compared to a full Engineer boot?

The Primary Low is 10 inches tall, making it shorter than a traditional Engineer for riders who prefer a lower profile.

What's the warranty coverage?

Highway 21 includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

Are the soles oil-resistant?

Yes — the sole is designed to resist oil, gasoline, and other common fluids you may encounter at the pump or in the garage.

Impressive

I was looking for an option to the $300 Harley boot when I found this one. The boot is vey comfortable, and has help up in the weather. I have had it rain twice with no issues. The boot is a tide wide for me but that would not prevent me from purchasing another pair. The boot also had a very short break in period.

Wide at the top

The boots look great, but they are so wide at the top that it doesn't look good with pants over them. They're similar to a rubber rain boot in how wide they are at the top. I saw other reviews mention they are sized accurately but I personally found them to be both too narrow and too small.

Decent boot, but wide ankle

I bought these for my husband and they were decently made, but the ankle was far to wide and looked funny when tucked under pants.

Fit is true to size and very comfortable

Great fitting boot and comfortable. I ordered the same size I would any other boots and they are a perfect fit.

Perfect, but can be improved.

These were the only engineer-styled boots that are waterproof and do not have those shifter panels that give it away that it is a motorcycle boots. However, I do have some gripes with it. Firstly, I think the fit is a little loose. I'm a 41 euro and the gear geeks told me to size up with the US9. The first time wearing them felt almost snug, easy to get in. After a few times wearing these (with a really short period to break in), they are looser now and extremely easy to get in. If I were to buy them again, maybe I'd try the size 8? Secondly, the cut of the boot makes it much more geared towards wearing the boot over my pants. However, I'd prefer to wear it under my pants like Brando does. I can do it, but the mouth of the boot is pretty big, pushing out the hem of my pants wide open. Lastly, the straps are mostly ornamental than functional. I think I will be punching more holes to cinch them tighter. Waterproofing-wise, they are 100% no doubt about it. Nonetheless, I'd say I'm pretty much satisfied with these.

Great boot!

Great boot! the feel once you slip your feet into them are quite comfortable and the semi<br />low hight does not rub on my calfs.
