Good looking, solid accessory.
The quality of the frame/mount is excellent. Heavy guage and sturdy. It looks great on the bike once installed. Fair warning.When putting the license plate in, I had to hammer my license plate flat and trim away a good portion of the outer plate for it to fit properly in the frame.
It works if you work it
Is it better looking than the billboard that comes stock? You bet. Is installation way more difficult than it needs to be? Yep. <br />Just get used to modifying everything you buy these days and be happier. <br />It is curved. When you separate two curved surfaces by say, the thickness of your license plate, the holes won?t line up. I?m no genius but this much I know. Hog out those holes and your plate, be patient with the almost too short, very soft screws, and you?re good to go. Screws come in any color you like as long as it?s stainless steel. (Oh, and a ratchet wrench is your friend :)
Nice look vs stock
Built well Fit and finish are great. My only complaint is... Why not include black bolts!!!! Give the buyer the choice which one they want to install. What would it cost??? $2.00 more???
Curved license plate frame.
Love this frame mount. Make my bike look better then how it was before with just the flat license plate. Easy to install.

Looks great but had to drill my license plate for the bolts to line up. For the cost of this simple part that should get that right.
Flimsy
So it hasnt broken off (yet), but I was disappointed with how dirty the threading was. It lines up, but not well. Plenty of margin to allow for misalignment. Overall just poor machine work. Every Harley fender is drilled the same. Shouldnt be hard to match it up perfectly, yet they chose to give it a loose fit. The concept of stacking the foam is silly. It should just ship with the foam already bonded. Not a huge fan of this part, but Ill use it until it inevitably breaks.
Looks great on my black bike
Only reason this didn't get a full five stars is because of those chrome bolts. Why have a blacked out license plate holder then provide bright silver bolts right in the face of it? Anyway, this item looks great on the bike and is pretty easy to install if you have little arms. Getting larger arms up between the wheel and the fender is a bit of a challenge, but it can be done. Great replacement for the stock LP holder.
quality not what expected from Kuryakyn
Had to trim license plate and drill out holes to match frame which is understandable but also had to drill out top mounting holes so that screws would line up. The casting was off on these holes . Looks good once mounted but shouldn't have been so much trouble for a license plate frame that cost this much . Have used Kuryakyn before and been happy but not this time.

This license plate frame mount is cool. I put it on my 2015 FLHXS and it looks great. The curve really adds a special touch. As far as installation goes, it is somewhat of a pain getting to the bolts that hold the light bar on, but nothing complicated. I recommend this accessory.

License plate holder
Had to get powder coated black because they weeeout of black. Hard to reach bolts inside the fender . It was a challenge but I’m the end it came out looking nice.

Seems to be good quality and looks very good also. If I have one suggestion it would be to make the screws a little bit longer. I had a hard time getting 2 of the 4 supplied screws to start because they are just barely long enough.

bolts right on to the stock turn signal bracket on my 2018 heritage. had to go to harley to get a proper licence plate light.

Nicely finished chrome plating and easy to install. I would recommend for the price that real chromed plated screws should come with the frame. The enclosed screws appeared to be stainless steel which does not match the chrome frame. The other issue is the screws are a little short and could be a tad longer.

It does not fit my 2022 Road Glide ST. The mounting boss is too large and it is missing the notch for the light. The picture does not match the actual part. Kuryakyn supplied photos and fit spec to JP.
Badass!
Love it. Looks as good as the HD version for a LOT less money. Was able to use my old HD Skull bolts. Was a challenge to get the plate in and lined up. Had to drill the holes in the plate out bigger and added some of the included slim sticker padding between the plate and the frame.

Just got mine in today!!! Fits and looks great. Seen people complaining about how hard install is. Not that bad if you use common sense. People say they removed the fender to install. That's crazy to me. I did it with out taking nothing off but the taillight that has to come off. Put one on the last 3 bikes. Takes about 10 mins. I welded 2 wrenches together on the first bike and bent them to contour with the fender so it's a breeze now. And I'm not a welder but welded good enough to hold two wrenches together lol half the price of Harley's

Was trying to buy direct from HD and then noticed this one is identical so I took a gamble and ordered it. Showed up in a few days and the quality and design look to be exactly the same as the HD p/n. A friend of mine has the HD variant and we couldn’t find any differences which was reassuring. So In the end I saved myself a few bucks and got myself something I otherwise would have waited weeks and weeks for from HD direct.

Better looking than stock
much better than stock! Fit is good. only issue for me was the allen head screws were a little short for my license plate. Not a real big issue, as I had extras lying around, but would have been nice for them to work properly.

Great product. Looks awesome and is a perfect fit. Only bad thing is the screws to hold the license plate on are silver and stand out like a sore thumb because frame is black! Just doesn’t make any sense.

Easy to install if you take the lower fender light off first. Looks great and follows the lines of the fender. Take off the ugly red reflector while you have the tail light assembly off. Looks much better now.
This worked well to give a nice framed and finished look.

You should include more black washers. Because the plate holder that you are replacing is thicker then the new one. So you need more washers to tighten it up

Great License Plate Frame, The only problem is the screw that hold the plate on are just a hair short and one corner just wont thread on enough to tighten down. I'll just hit up my local Hardware store for longer screws.

Fit was great, had to alter the license plate a bit but not a big deal. My complaint is the frame is gloss black, sent the 4 screws in a gloss black finish. I had to spray paint and bake in the oven to make them disappear when mounted. Looks Great

Kuryakyn CLPC arrived in a timely manner, well packaged. Easy install except that the screws should be a millimeter longer so that it has a better "bite" when screwing down onto the faceplate. Other than that, changed the plain squared up "plate" look to a nice clean n polished look. Get one.<br />Rolling out!

Chrome is nice , holes were a little hard to get lined up . Need to open them up a tad to get the flatheads in . All and alll fairly easy install.

Bought this to replace the billboard that comes stock on the Roadking Special. Looks fantastic matching the cure of the rear fender and also getting rid of the terrible looking reflector. Installation a bit tricky thanks to Harley leaving minimal room on the rear fender. Overall very pleased.

Overall, this is a nice piece to add to any bike to clean up the look. Finish is awesome, though will scratch easy, so take caution when installing. Installation is pretty straight forward, but it certainly helps to have a jack to help give you clearance between the fender and tire while removing/reinstalling hardware. I would like it to be a little bit cheaper, but still reasonable enough for me to make the purchase.

Looks really clean. Kinda. Pain to install having to jack the rear end up so swing arm lowers to give a little room to access the two bolts for the tail lights. But it does add a really good look. So much better than the black stock bracket.
