Easy to use

Seems kind of weird at first but once you get the hang of it you might not go back to spray. Each application uses very little paste. Just squeeze a tiny bit through the brush then gently brush onto chain. It spreads around nicely with one good rotation. Great for touring since the tube is small.

Gunpowder, Printing Press, Chain Paste

I kid you not, whoever came up with this deserves a Novel Peace Prize!

Easy to apply...makes sprays obsolete imo.
Great Technology!!!

Convenient but a bit pricey

Bang for the buck is pretty good if only for the attached brush. It beats spraying lube all over the wheel, brakes, tire, ground, etc. The built in applicator works well and makes a very convenient 'Take along for the trip' package. Obviously chain length depends on how many applications you're going to get out of this but my results were about 3.5.

Would recommend and will likely buy again.

Decent to toss into a saddlebag for a long trip, maybe not the best for cold weather.

I bought a tube of this lube to toss into my bags on longer trips so I can slap some on after riding in the rain. So far, it seems to do pretty decently at this, but I have a couple of gripes. First off, in colder weather (anything under ~50F), the paste just doesn't want to spread out across the chain at all, and it is a huge pain to cover the whole chain with a nice even layer. What usually ends up happening is that I slather on too much in some spots, and other spots don't get touched at all, and I just have to ride enough to warm the chain up and spread the paste out. After the paste warms up, it does seem to spread out a little bit but doesn't thin out so much that it flings off.

Pros:
-One tube will last a long time, even when used very liberally, so per-dollar this stuff is a steal.
-Super waterproof, and any parts of the chain that get coated will NOT get rusty even after being blasted by rain. This stuff has the wash-out resistance of a heavy-duty grease.
-Doesn't sling off at speed; it's so sticky that it clings on and doesn't let go.
-Not being an aerosol can, it packs very well into a saddlebag without the risk of leaks, but I still pack it in a plastic bag with a couple of paper towels just in case.
-No overspray issues, so your rear wheel doesn't get a blasting when you apply it.

Cons:
-Inconvenient to apply, takes a lot longer to get an even coating than aerosol lubes.
-Seems to attract a decent bit of dirt compared to some premium lubes, but overall not terrible.
-Doesn't seem to spread as evenly over the chain, so you will almost inevitably have dry spots that might rust.
-Somewhat harder to clean off the chain. Because this stuff clings to the chain so well, it takes a lot more elbow grease, or much stronger solvents to remove.
-If you care about aesthetics, look elsewhere because this paste will leave your chain looking like a crusty white mess (giggity).

Tips: I periodically clean the brush applicator tip by unscrewing it and soaking it in some kerosene to dissolve the semi-dried paste. Because you are directly rubbing the brush on a potentially dirty chain, the brush will pick up a lot of road grit and grime pretty quickly, so cleaning it is a must. Definitely apply this stuff while the chain is warm whenever possible, and consider switching to a different lube if you need to apply it in the cold. Make sure that your bike gives you clearance to access all sides of the chain when applying this stuff.

Motul Chain Paste

This is an excellent product. If you're home, microwave the tube 25 seconds. It'll glide on. Travelling? Lay out in the sun for few minutes. The grease does an excellent job and seems to outlast any spray lube.

Very old school goop

This is like pre aerosol gen stuff I imagine because I can't see what anyone likes about it compared to other options. Maybe I'm too young for this technology and I don't know what I'm doing, but I bought it for adv rides and it's just too thick and goopy, Everything sticks to it, it goes on too heavy and it's slow to apply. It probably makes sense to some riders, but I have no idea what this stuff is good for given all the other great lubes out there.
