Should be stock on an Indian.

This seat, may be better in every conceivable way. It fits me near perfect. I have a 32 inch inseam and the stock seat felt about 2 inches too short. I'd say this seat literally sits back about 1.5 inches more, and is deeper and has more of a built in back support. I would buy this seat again in a heartbeat.

Buy the one with a back rest option

Bought for 2017 Chieftain. Stock seat was too short. New seat moves you back pretty good. The depth of the seat is too much for me. I am 6'2" 30

Seat is great. FEDEX shipping sucks. Ordered this seat and the passenger seat at the same time, both seats shipped the same day. This seat went FEDEX and arrived 6 days after the passenger seat that went out on UPS. Also ordered highway pegs and they shipped on USPS and they arrived the day after the passenger seat. FEDEX SUUCKS!

Got back from the Iron Butt 1,500 miles in 36 hours or less challenge yesterday. Made all the difference!!

Lifesaver

A few years ago i replaced my 750 Honda Shadow with a Mustang seat. It was a big step up. Now i did it with my Indian. It's a new bike, I kid you not. You'll sit a little higher maybe 1 inch, but you get used to it. You feel more in control and what do you know I don't have a back ache anymore.

Great Decision!

This is the third Mustang seat on 3 different bikes. It is a huge difference from the stock seat that I had on my 2017 Indian chieftain. This sets me back further and the seat is just much more comfortable. However, I?m only 5?8? and 150 pounds. The handlebars are quite a reach at this point when I make turns. As a result it sped up my decision to buy new handlebars. I have not yet received the handlebars but I?m looking forward to getting them installed.

Little wider than the stock seat so it takes a little getting used to when you put your feet down. Otherwise this seat is quite comfortable so far.

Comfort and Extended Reach

I tried other extended reach seats and sent them back. This one is perfect placement, just enough back support to take pressure off your grip, back far enough I can stretch out without highway pegs. Only bummer is the screws on the back of the seat are not in the factory position so the luggage rack I have is now unusable. Put a couple hundred miles on it now and am very happy. Durability will take more time to evaluate
