Worth every penny!!
I bought this for a 2006 Ultra Classic. My original windshield was approx 6 inches tall. I am 6' 3, and the buffeting, and wind noise was really getting annoying.<br /> Reading other online reviews, I decided to give this a try, and I could not be happier. I went with the dark tint 10-3/4" hoping it would not be too tall. It is perfect. It is right at 10" tall from the top of the fairing. I can see over it just fine, or see through it ok if needed. It is very sturdy, and looks fantastic. It fit perfectly, and took all of about five minutes to install. <br />The best part is that it does exactly what they say. I can now do 70 mph with no buffeting, or excessive wind noise. With my stock windshield, the buffeting would start at approx 45 mph, and at 65 the wind noise was horrible. My glasses don't vibrate anymore, and I can actually see. Best money I've spent on the bike so far. <br />If you are having buffeting, or wind noise issues, I would highly recommend this windshield.
I could not be more satisfied with this windshield. It replaced what I believe was the original on my 2007 Electra Glide. The old one had the normal wear and was difficult to see through even during the day. This VStream is much shorter and diverts the air over and around me while allowing me to look over it with maximum visibility. 10/10 would recommend!
Side flow good but vertical flow & noise still an issue
Bought this to replace OEM windshield, improve vision and improve buffeting to side of my helmet. Performs as advertised for this issue and looks great. However, I expected the 14" to also help direct wind over my helmet to reduce buffeting on top and lower wind noise. I say 14" because following sizing guides (be able to just see over top and out ~100') this product fails miserably. I have to crouch down which impacts my back and ride enjoyment during my commute. No issues when at low-med speeds, but on highway I hear no real improvement in noise/top buffeting vs OEM (might even be a little louder). Debating getting 17" version but it will mean I'm looking through the shield (which is amazing clear and distortion free) and affect visibility during turns (top edge will likely be right in vision during cornering). Maybe if they added a "little flip" to top of shield (similar to other model but not as extreme) that would push the wind flow further over helmet. Only other issue is installation. Easy to get in but leaves gap in fairing (wider at base than OEM) which can allow rain into fairing; I have clear tape I keep and apply if raining and then remove. Overall happy but not what I had hoped for.<br /><br />Reality is if HD built adjustable windshield, like BMW has, I'd be thrilled w/ this size product. :-) SInce HD doesn't I have to hope for better solution from after market vendors. :-(
No reduction in turbulence
The windshield was an easy install...less than 10 minutes...and it looks good. However, there was no appreciable difference between it and my OEM mid-height windshield in reducing wind turbulence, particularly at higher speeds...which is why I bought it.
7.5 " dark windshield
The 7.5 inch dark windshield looks good 0n my black 07 stglide. After installing and trying it out on a short trip around the block, the buffeting was unbearable. After reading other reviews I thought that this windshield would be perfect for me. I'm 5'5" so I was able to look right over the top for normal road riding. Looking thru it to see right in front of you wasn't a issue. With the buffeting issue I checked to return it. The return policy is if you try it, it's considered used and not returnable. Will not try another
windshield
I like this windshield. I was looking for something that reduced the buffeting, and it is doing the job. I would have liked a size between the 7.25 and the 10.75 that is available. Overall, it is a quality product.

Great Windshield
It was everything they said it was. Very easy to install - perfect fit. I couldn't stand looking through windshield any longer. The dynamics push air around me - just a little at top tries to blow hair in my eyes (haircut will take care of that). I don't know how well it will work for taller person - I'm only 5'9". The wind dynamics of this windshield are much better than tall windshield stock on my 2005 Harley Ultra.
Excellent Windshield
I am 6'3" and I love this windshield. I ordered the tallest curved (10 3/4" I think) windshield. I just did a 1700 mile trip with this windshield and it worked great for a tall guy. It is slightly shorter than the stock Harley windshield and offers a little better visibility. The wind buffeting was minimal and on the very top of my helmet. I also road in the rain and didn't have any issue with the windshield. I will now ride with this windshield all year long instead of switching. Recommend this for taller riders.

National Cycle VStream Windshield For Harley Touring 1996-2013
The Dark tint was much darker than I expected and hard to see thru during evening/night rides.
I’ve had my 2010 HD SG since 11/2020. I rode with the stock windshield until I received this. This drastically cuts down the beating I didn’t know I was taking at higher speeds. I’m 6’4” and this height works well for me.
VStream 7.25”, Great Quality, perfect fit and easy installation on the 03 Ultra. Great look on the bike, excellent wind Deflection!
Windscreen
Satisfied with the windscreen. Installation required trimming the outside mount holes for the windshield to fit flush in the bushings. After several miles on state highways and the interstate I am satisfied with the windscreen performance. It doesn?t not eliminate helmet shake but it does reduce it.

Second one I have put on my Ultra Classic. Looks great, and even better, makes my rides comfortable and relaxing.

I love the look and feel of this windshield. The stock windshield was way to high for me at 5'9" tall.
I’m very happy with this windscreen. At 6’4”, I need something that doesn’t propel the wind directly into my eyeballs and this one fits the bill perfectly. My passenger also reaps the benefits with the added height. I was initially a little concerned about rigidity in a piece this tall, but again this windscreen exceeded my expectations.
Easy install. No bugs in the face. Cut down on wind.
Great Value
Really happy with the windshield! The quality is excellent. It's nice and thick, nice clarity and some cool quality touches. For example, the edges are nicely finished and the V-Stream shape really looks nice on the bike. There is some optical distortion at the windshield contours, but that is to be expected, but in no way affects overall visibility. Where the windshield meets the fairing, there's nice blending pattern that gives it a nice finished factory look. The value for money spent is awesome! The key to any windshield purchase is the proper height. My purchase was 10.75 in and is perfect for me. If you like the styling and purchase the proper height, you'll love this windshield.

Pros-<br />cuts wind noise makes for better stereo sound<br />makes you feel smaller or sitting in the bike<br />i feel more air in face without the pressure riding.<br /><br />Cons-<br />affected gas mileage at least sure looks like it, will know after work when top off tank.<br />any chrome on gas tank, or under dash reflects light/sun the halo effect at eye level.<br /><br />my plan is to return and see about klock works taller than all ready have. only giving 4 days chance, just so has no damage for returning.
Fit perfect. Exactly as described. Install took me about 30 minutes, start to finish. Looks fantastic.
103/4 is too tall for me. The tint is too dark to see through in the daytime or the night. Had it on for one day and night and so cannot return it. Try to sell for 1/2 price maybe.
Dissappointed in the paint. did not cover fairing completely and very very thin.
Super nice windshield, took about 3 minutes to install, fit perfect on my 07 ultra. Doe's a good job of deflecting wind and is well above my head so visibility is great. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good windshield who wants visibility above head level.

It is very clear with no wavy spots. It is thick/rigid enough that it doesn't wobble/vibrate at speed. I am well pleased with it. The fit on my 2000 FLHTCI was perfect.
The product was delivered super fast....thanks. No problem for the tool challenged, like me to install. Will take some getting used too as it's much taller than my old one. I ride 3-5 Iron Butts PER MONTH, so we'll see how it stands up to some killer bugs storms through Montana.
The vstream low works very well and I would suggest it to anyone.

Thick and efficient. Buffet is nearly the same and a little more but the clear sight lines at only 1-1/4" shorter than stock is great. Not in my line of site anyway.
With a full face helmet I find the top of the head is getting a fluttering sound while riding. I have a brand new Harley helmet and a very nice Bell Star, both experience this annoying sound. I wish I had gone with the taller version. When I duck down it goes away. I am 5 foot 11" tall.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. It reflects the wind around you. I was concerned about the height as it was shorter thanstock but other than just a few more bugs it did a reat job.
Love the looks on my Ultra Limited and works great, deflects wind, bugs and rain better than any windshield I have had.
You will definately turn the sound down as this windshield deverts the wind away from your ears. I was still getting helment wind buffering running into a strong headwind. The 10 1/2 height was still a little tall and I may order a smaller one or a tall clear. The tint is too dark and hard to see through in the bright sun with reflections. It was actually better a night. Looks cool which outweighs everything. LOL
The quality is top notch. This shield is thicker than stock. It did not reduce buffeting. The buffet felt is different but is still there and still annoying. I removed the shield and went back to stock.
Great windshield, just a tad higher than stock. Good wind protection, and seems to hold the front end down and cuts through the wind good. Recommend to others.
The Windshield does cut down on some of the turbulent air at the side of the helmet but I still get some buffeting from the front. Easy to install and a good fit for my Ultra.

Just got this windshield today and put it on, the wind today is 30 to 40 mph and this made all the diffrence in the world. I was running about 60 mph and was able to turn the radio down and still here it. I am very happy with this.
Needed a little alteration w/ round file. Noticed an improvement in hearing radio.
This is great. I ordered this for my trike to replace my stock windshield which had a crack above where screw was. This just showed up. After reading the reviews on this new windshield, I decided to try it. It is incredible. There is a big difference from this windshield and the stock one. I am very pleased.

Works great, awesome quality. A big improvement over the 7 and a half windsplitter. and looks better than the stock tall/clear one. I'm going to use it for long rides and a shorter one for everyday.

Very good windshield with a good look and pushes the wind around my head.
This is a much better windshield in the original Or even the memphis shades that I replaced the original with. With the old windshield It sometimes felt like I was riding with a barn door strapped to the front of the bike. V stream feels so much better. There is much less buffeting and on top of it all, it's better looking......highly recommended.

The windshield is awesome for wind control. It is MUCH better than the stock shorty. It has developed a crack (A spider web) from the left mounting hole. I put on 8000 km in Sept from Canada through California and back up through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming. It was great through the desert at 114 degrees and through the mountains at 32 degrees.
Replaced the stock windshield on my 09 Ultra and this was too high so replaced it with the shorter version. This shields top edge was right on my line of sight and caused distortion and reflextion.
Replaced the stock windshield with the smoke v steam and it definitly makes a difference with reducing the wind turbulance on the road. Side wind and passing trucks the bike hardly moves unlike the stock HD version.
