Better, but not a panacea
First off; fit and finish are incredible, and the design is top notch. These are packaged well, instructions are well written, and I believe a lot of care went into producing a well-made product.

Ease of install - easy. Take off the front end, remove all the Harley stuff, add the Progressive stuff and some oil and reassemble. Not difficult.

What changed? I went from stock Harley (mush after 12k miles) to a set of Ohlins in back and a set of emulators in front, a fresh fluid change, and a fork brace. That was better. The emulators in front for some reason turned to mush over time (about 20k later) so I went with Progressive. The front end is like it was with stock Harley parts, but with more control. It is an improvement over stock! The smooth sections of the highway are smoother, and there is more stiffness, control, and confidence in turns (that is actually a big plus). Holes, small bumps, and other imperfections in the road surface are still transmitted with more harshness than I would expect. I am going to play with the spacers they included with the kit to see what kind of changes they provide if any.

Again - very well made product, packaged nicely with excellent instructions and customer service (I called them).

Since we (shoppers of aftermarket suspension components) are trying to improve on a marginal design (thanks Harley), we will all interpret the results differently.

Am I happy I bought these? Yes, they are an improvement over what I had before. Am I 100% happy? I am still looking for that last 30% improvement, but I feel that may be more about the bike and design than this product.
Great product
On the Lemme Beard Scale Id rate it at 2 beards on installation difficulty. You pretty much need to take the front forks off the bike to do it right. After that they system was drop-in and put it all back together. You can lower the bike 1 or 2 inches. I went with 1, and its all working well on my bike (04 Sportster Cafe Racer conversion project) Rides great, stops well - I dont know what else you could ask for. Id buy this setup again and can recommend it to you. I left durability blank cause I just put it in last month, so I cant answer that one.
Great ride
Great shocks my sportster rides like a new bike
fits 04-05 dyna fxd
bought them for my 2004 dyna superglide they fit with no issues and is a great improvement over stock suspension so if your looking for front suspension thats affordable for 04-05 dyna 39mm this is a great option parts for those years are hard to find.
Increased travel and better ride
I was able to increase shock travel by an inch on my Nightster using the adjustable roadster kit. Ride is much better!!
Super get my stuff right and in time.
Wow! This is definitely a much needed upgrade. It really stiffened up the soft front end, No more brake drive or bottoming out over road bumps. It was very easy to install, I would also recommend investing in a fork seal rebuild kit while the forks are off the bike.
they work much better than stock.
Replaced stock worthless springs on Sportster 48 to gain additional inch and half of travel. Much closer to what suspension should be like, hitting a pothole does not feel like breaking off the frond end anymore. Missing adjustable rebound though.
The Monotubes are easy to install land work 100 better than the cheap stock suspension. Greg
Swapped from stock front suspension on my 2012 sportster 72 and it is a world of difference. My bike no longer rocks back and forth when I'm changing gears at high speeds. So much more stable going into corners and no more nose dive when I'm coming to a stop. Would highly recommend this product.
Was on the fence due to cost
I was looking to upgrade my worn suspension and was on the fence about getting progressive springs ($120) or monotubes($250) well worth the extra money good instructions and it's 2019 install videos are plenty I have OEM Harley 13 inch touring air bags went with stock height option before installing I had so much front dive even taking it off jiffy stand bike seems real solid happy with purchase
These made a major improvement in ride quality and reduced bottoming to all but the harshest of hits.
Installed in less than two hours. The quality and fitment is amazing given the price point. I will definitely recommend these to my friends .
No more issues...ever!!
Shipped fast, packaged really well, clear installation instructions, solid ride...
I just got the new shock cartridges installed and they are wonderful! Less nose dive on heavy braking, and very little front end lift on acceleration. This translates to a more controlled ride and is exactly what I was hoping for.
Great ride
Great product. I wish preload adjust was easier to adjust. It's a little stiff for me at 150 lbs. probably perfect for average weight rider. This is the 2nd bike I've installed them in and I'll use them on the next bike. Easy install. Great ride.
Thanks for this great item and fast shipping I will comeback again
Jorge
