Better than the first.
This is my second Ram Mount. The first was sold with my previous ride as it was permanently attached to the handlebar. I like this one as it is easy to undo with the rapid grip and store in backpack while walking around or storing in topcase. My iPh 7+ fits perfectly on it. The phone will not slip or slide with sticky pad and rubbery thingy in the back!
Great product and fit.
Adapts well to my phone, a One Plus 6T. NO issues with inadvertent movement, slippage or "wiggle". For those unfamiliar with this particular mobile phone, the dimensions are (6.20 x 2.94 x 0.32 in), additionally I installed a fairly substantial case that added to the overall 'girth' of the phone. The Ram Mount accommodates it well! <br /><br /> This happens to be my second Ram Mount purchase, the first I sold with my former bike (2013 Versys 650). Currently my Ram Mount is secured to my 2005 R1200GS.
Holds the phone firmly, easy to mount, works very well.
Secure and easy to use.
Easy to mount, easy to use and keeps my phone at hand but secure. My only concern is that it is almost all plastic, which almost always eventually dries out and cracks. For now, it's great.
Lasted about six months before slowing ripping piece by piece. Also note the motorcycle vibration will 'break' any cellphone camera. (that issue is separate from this review).

Loss phone
The phone holder dislodged from the socket while riding my harley, phone was loss on hwy.
Holds at high speeds no worries
Holds my Note 9 with a little wiggle room. My bike is naked and so air smashes directly on my phone when riding but its never even moved at higher speeds. The elastic band that comes with it broke within 2 uses but I never intended on using it a lot anyway.
So far so good. I regularly forgot to attach the rubber gasket, and I've never even seen the phone slip! It take a little practice to get it in there without affecting the volume controls - you need to place it a little lower than you would expect.
Disappointed
I used the measurements for my phone I have a 13 iPhone.. I got a large well it does not fit probably and after only using it a couple times it is already broken!! I am so mad!! My husband bought one 3 years ago and it works great this is terrible!!
Easy install, great for big phones/cases!
Holds a larger phone with a larger case very well. My iPhone 11 is pretty big with its shock-proof case, but it fits just fine. And being mounted behind the windshield, the clamp holds it in place just fine without the rubber strap. Also, extremely easy installation. 30 seconds max.
Keeps phone secure
Keeps my phone secure, I have a Google pixel 3 xl with a giant OtterBox, still will fit even if it's outside of the recommended fit. Does not rust nor oxide so that is a plus. Does run pretty expencive but is worth it.
Works great
Mounts solid, solid hold on my iPhone SE. I?m a new rider so not pushing too hard but have used it on other bikes and seems perfect if you?re just using you maps app. Mounted on left side of bars on my Z400 works fine very visible with no dash obstruction
Expensive but worth the peace of mind
This mount works really well. Between the claw grip, the rubber grips, and the sticky circle where the logo is, I know that my phone is secure. I ride a cruiser, so I'm not actively seeking rough roads or dirt paths, but I'm sure it would stay firm if you do ride dirt bikes. I always have my phone mounted on it even when I know I won't use my phone.

Holds tight and doesn?t move but the clamp has a limited size bar that it can be mounted to. It will not fit on the GPS Mount bar right behind the windscreen on a KLR.
Tough Claw X-Grip
I had my iPhone attached to the mount while merging onto the highway and it flew off once I hit about 75 mph. I definitely won?t be using this horrible mount again. Thankfully I had insurance on my phone, but upset to pay the deductible

Great mount but not perfect.
Great phone holder for my husband's phone while he bikes every morning. However, the rubber safety gripper broke within days of my husband using it, but the holder is still great without it, so I did not complain. After a recent car trip with the bike on the back of the truck in a bike hitch holder, the mount fell off. My husband had it very securely attached to the bike; he found it impossible that it would shake loose, but it did. So take it off before you travel. Neither of these things should have happened for such a high-cost, quality item.

The bands always snap, so grab some extra.<br /><br />Beside that, I like this for when I'm traveling and know I'll be renting or borrowing a bike. Fits on pretty much all bars and is convenient to put on and take off.
Stable but the rubber harness is prone to breaking
I've used this mount on my Harley without any issue but the rubber harness breaks very easily. At the time I used it I had an S7 with an Otterbox Defender case for reference.
Best bang for the buck.
It's a fantastic mount for the money. Ditch the rubber band you don't need it. The rubber feet can slide off so just watch it. If you like me and your phone case is rubberized on the sides you don't need the rubber feet anyway.
Breaks Phone Camera
Only giving this mount 2 stars because it does it's job of being a mount that doesn't drop your phone. Unless you don't like your camera, don't buy this mount. There is no vibration damping, now my phone camera isn't worth anything and I have to get that fixed along with buying what I should have bought, a quad lock.

Way better than Quad Lock!
This mount is so, so much better and more secure than the crappy and overrated Quad Lock. After riding around the metro, on roads of various quality, I never once saw the phone mount wiggle, bounce, or shake. It remained in place! The mount comes with everything. It isn't parted out like the competitor, forcing people to pay way too much for plastic garbage. Installation is so easy Stevie Wonder can do it.

Updated is better if...
This is my third one of these for different vehicles and they always work great. The new rubber holder is a little bit stronger than the old one but also means it does not adapt as well to larger phones. If your phone is on the edge of the big size the rubber holder may only be able to tie down one side of it cuz it can't stretch the hole length of the phone.
Great if you only need your phone to stay on the mount some of the time
Expensive trash. I bought the XL version and the rubber part that wraps over the corners broke after my second ride with it. Foolishly thought I didn't really need it... Well my phone took a dive at 70mph. Buy a quadlock or even one of the cheaper off-brand phone mounts, this thing is complete garbage.

Exactly like advertised. Very strong grip.
Works really well in exactly the way it's supposed to. Only issue is that one of the arms lines up with where the volume buttons are on my phone so I have to slide the phone low in the holder so it doesn't hold down my volume buttons.

Rubber secondary piece that?s supposed to hold the phone literally broke the first time I put the phone in. Seems like it?s be a good phone holder expect for the cheaper rubber band.

Make sure you get the correct size for your own device. Also needs redesign so that you can use rubber bands without phone having to have the prongs on the volume or power button of the phone.
Mounts to my 1-1/2" thick meat hooks surprisingly well. Holds my phone great good product. Never worry about my phone coming out!

It was alright.
It was a good mount form the start.. it had a firm hold but as time went by I felt like it started loosening up. I then recently hit a pothole and it caused my phone to fall from the mount. So.. I dont think I can trust this product moving forward.

Hangs on surprisingly well to a 2000 Buell X1 Lightning that has low frequency vibrations like a jackhammer. Rode for about 50 miles with it and it hasn't moved a hair. I did tighten the screw pretty tightly though, so your experience may vary. I like that I can remove it easily and stick it on another bike if I need to without grabbing the tool box, and that it doesn't leave a mark on my bars. I removed the extra little rubber butterfly that straps around the phone since it's a bit cumbersome and I don't go off-roading with it.
BAD QUALITY / BROKE DURING RIDE.
Disappointed! I wanted to invest good money on a cellphone mount so I picked RAM. At the beginning I was loving it but today I almost lost my phone while I was riding. It just literally broke in half and popped out, luckily I was able to catch my phone. Just really disappointed that even the expensive ones has bad quality.
Pay the extra and get quality
HAd it 6 weeks and 1000 miles and the rubber that hols the phone is broken. This is a cheap and decently easy solution but for $40 more I wish I would have bought the SP connect system.
Ruined my phones camera.
It ruined the stabilization on my phone. Do not recommend.
LIke it a lot but the webbing broke, just on loop so I can still use it but having trouble finding just the webbing to replace it.
Broke my phones camera!
Caused my phones camera to break!<br /><br />While the mount did its job, it doesnt dampen vibrations very well. As a result, the optical image stabilizer on my phone is broken, and I can no longer use my camera phone. As a result, I would advise against using this.
Ram mount
Put it on your Harley and ride it like you stole it. Your phone will stay put. It is behind a windshield and I dont use the extra bungee connector. If it is not behind a windshield it would be a good idea to use that.

Cracked plastic center. Luck my phone did not bounce down the highway.
Had it for a few years and the plastic center cracked off, springs and parts flew off. Happen to catch it before my phone fell off.
