The Perfect Phone Mount!
I have tried many different types of mounts and came across this mount and it is built like a tank. I've put 50,000 miles and not even a budge. I've crashed on the trails and I can always count on my phone being in the mount. I find that the Otterbox Commuter case compliments the mount absolutely perfectly. Long story short, BUY this mount, it's the best one out there!!

If I had to say anything negative, it would be that, it will not fit any phone longer than a phone that is longer than 5.5 inches. So all your regular Iphones will work. I recently changed my phone to Iphone 7 Plus which is 6.23 inches long and WILL NOT fit. I just wish they built some adjustments to fit a phone that is slightly bigger than a standard phone. That is my one and only gripe. I love this mount so much that I'm looking to change my phone to fit this mount, that's how much I love it!

Please do not compare this to the X-Grip. It's a night and day difference. I had X-Grip for a week and was so annoyed that I gave it away and thank God, I found this mount!
Solid mount, no complaints.
This thing is tough. I ride a 2007 ZX6R and this holds my phone very well. I use a GPS speedo app on my phone to help keep the police away, since my bike's speedo is not the most accurate thing(~15mph difference at 70mph).

I have an iPhone6, with an Otterbox Symmetry case, and this RAM Mount still would have room to spare. I just set the sliding side pins with a screwdriver, and the spring loaded hook provides the easy in and out operation.

I mated this cell holder with the "RAM Mounts Brake / Clutch Kit" and it works perfectly on my bike. I mounted it on the clutch side, to keep it more out of the way of the rest of my instruments.

Note, theres really only one, maybe two positions that this set up will work on my specific bike, due to the tight space between the upper fairing and the tank, given full range of the forks. I was able to keep the mount loose and play with the turning range of the forks to find the mounting sweet spot, then just cranked down the tightness on the mount to keep it in place.
The holder is part of the RAM system and works very well.
The holder fits onto the RAM diamond ball bracket. Once screwed together it is as secure as the RAM system. The bracket can be adjusted to hold many different size phones. I adjusted it to work with an iPhone 5S with a Lifeprooof case. The phone can be put in and removed very easily, but once in the holder seems secure. Thus far the has ridden off road in the holder, but I have not fallen with the phone mounted.
Phone holder
Holds phone.

That way you don't need to hold the phone, the phone holder holds the phone.
Best Phone Mount - PERIOD
Just buy this one.

I had my iPhone 8 in this holder for 2000 brutal offroad miles of the TAT, and it never moved one single time. Very easy to slip your phone into with one hand, and it literally won't come out. Also...it won't press buttons on the side of your phone like so many other holders do.

Just do yourself a favor and buy it. It is the BEST phone holder on the market, and you literally won't find one better. Period.
NIce product
The product is fantastic and shipping quick..Holds phone(gps) Galaxy S5 snug with no vibrations..Just make sure you order ALLL the parts to attach this to your bike!!! So your not paying separate shipping for them all (4 total).
No Mount
My fault really. Should really really read the fine points. Doesn't come with an adapter to the bike. Now I just have a phone holder with no mount. Ad should be more specific too.
Great product, STILL NEEDS OTHER PART TO MOUNT
First off this is a great part. I've had ZERO issues with it, and I've gone (fast enough) to where its held up.

Alright for the negative, I bought this part thinking id be able to install it as is on the bike (as it didn't say you needed another part) you still need to purchase the ram holder mount piece. so make sure you look into getting this and that part.

Other than that, this product is great!
Excellent
Holds iPhone6 very well with a otterbox commuter case. Zero worry of it getting away. Easily one of the better purchases for the bike allowing for easy use of gps/music control (at a stop) and to see if you need to take a call or not (young kids at home).
Holds tight, easy to use.
This is the best RAM Mount for almost any smart phone. I have the iPhone 6 and it fits with ease, and the mount can still increase in size. What makes this mount the best is the ability to insert and remove your phone with only one hand, whereas all other RAM mounts require 2 hands. This RAM mount holds onto my phone tight and I never get any wiggle with the phone so I never need to worry about the phone falling out.
Wouldn't recommend this product for an iPhone 4S.
I had this product recommended for my iPhone 4S. Even with a larger otter box shell, the phone is loose in the holder. I need to use zip ties to keep the phone from falling out with slightest shaking. I wouldn't recommend this holder for a smaller phone like mine.
Great mount.
Works great, easy to mount and un-mount. I can articulate the mount to cut down on glare and I can easily remove it for storage or to keep it secure.
New phone mount
This was a new mount to replace the x grip. It was perfect for the bike. Holds a phone well and doesn't block or press any buttons. I needed to exchange for the larger version so be sure and measure your phone.
Used on highway, rough two track and single track. Never fell out, easy to use with an iPhone 5s
THE Best Phone Mount
People keep recommending the X style mount, but I've had my phone thrown in my lap twice with that style. In addition, it takes two hands to mount the phone with eh X-style, whereas I can slip my phone in with one hand on this one.

The phone will not fall out of this one, period. And the width is adjustable so it doesn't push the buttons like the X-style does.
Good Holder for Samsung S7 Active
I bought this to use with this specific phone S7 Active. I have an X grip as well that I was using with another phone prior to this so I have both. The issue with the XGrip and the Active was that it would not allow the phone to be positioned in a manner that I was comfortable with without hitting the action buttons on the phone in advertently turning it off or activating features that I did not want launched. With this Universal mount, I was able to set up the fingers so that they would not hit any of the action buttons. It Holds the phone securely on road and off road on my KLR.
Max Dimensions Are Less Than Listed
My phone (Moto X Pure + Otterbox) is right at the upper dimension limit for this holder, but it will not work. The fingers on the holder curve inward and the phone has to fit between them in order to get it behind the fingers. So the maximum dimensions the holder can take is actually around 5.75" tall, not the 6.25" listed. A half inch isn't much but it was enough to make my phone not fit.

I've been happy with Ram products in the past and the build quality of this one is no different. Its a shame it didn't fit, otherwise I think it would be perfect.
Fits iPhone 5S great; iPhone 4 not so much
I use this RAM mount with the Kuryakyn Tech Connect Premium Chrome Handlebar Mount (they fit great together) and it holds an iPhone 5S perfectly with or without a case (I use a Lifeproof Fre case). iPhone 4 (no case) feels loose; maybe with a big case it would work better.
With the iPhone 5S you can even use the camera, but not with the iPhone 4.
Holds Droid Maxx in its case
I have a Droid Maxx in an Incipio case and this holds it firmly in horizontal or vertical position. I use Google maps and this allows me to see the directions and map as I am riding. I also use a speedometer app since my speedometer broke. The spring loaded fingers keeps the phone secure at highway speeds and on bumpy roads. I think the soft rubber case gives additional grip, however. I am not sure how well it would hold a hard case and would not recommend using it on a phone without a case.
Holds firm!!!
Great for iPhone 4&5. I use it with my iPhone 4 and my buddy has same set up with his iPhone 5. We have logged hundreds miles off road and never have the phones come loose.
It?s great - big improvement from the old design
Essential for your daily travels on motorbike
Holds iPhone 6 and iPhone SE with case well.
Used it for iPhone 6 with case, now iPhone SE with case. Works great, clamps well?have not lost phone yet on 3000 miles of street and gravel roads.
Great change from the old version!
Don?t hesitate. It?s so much better than the original. No rubber bands, does not interfere with the volume buttons. One hand in or out. Love it.
Awesome holder
Well thought out design. My IPhone fits firmly into this holder, with good support. Looking forward to hitting the trails with this, with confidence that my phone will survive the ride.
Its great
I got this for my iPhone 8 and it works great. Secures the phone perfectly. Highly recommend.
Perfect for handlebar mounting.
I mounted this on the handlebars of a 2008 Kawasaki Versys using a handlebar mount. The mount holds very tight and the phone can be put in and taken out with one hand. Have not had any unwanted movement at highway speeds.
RAM mounts for iPhone7 on 2012 BMW R1200 RT
I bought this to mount my iPhone 7 on my 2012 BMW R1200 RT. In addition to the phone holder, you need to get the RAM Mounts Cradle adaptor - diamond hole pattern which gives you the ball on the back side (not shown!). For my application, I also used the RAM Mounts Handlebar Bolt Ball with hole base, and a RAM Mounts double socket arm (short). That total set up costs about $34. It holds the phone very securely. But just to be sure, I added a lanyard just in case (Lasso ~ $15) from another vendor. I like the set up and would recommend it.

I have not commented on durability since I have only had it on there for a couple of weeks, but I have used RAM mounts for other applications without any issues.
Spring loaded phone mount
As with all Ram Mounts fit is only limited by your imagination. Holds phone securely with one handed install and removal. This is my third or fourth one Ive owned for different machines with no failures. Latest was mounted on 390 Duke handlebars and the tension makes noise when phone not installed ( while riding bike) I. I would DEFINITELY recommend this mount!
The best phone holder ever
I cannot think of any ways this holder could be improved. I am confident that my phone will stay completely secure in every imaginable circumstance. This is definitely the phone holder you want to invest in. Its even more adjustable than I imagined, too.
Solid Cell Phone Mount
Better of the two options from RAM to mount your cell phone.
My Galaxy s6 Active in Body Glove case fits perfectly in the spring clips.
While mounted, the phone simply does not move.
This is exactly what I was looking for.
Good Product
Pretty good product for the money. Easy to use and set up. Does not come with any instructions, but not that hard to figure out. For the money it's well worth it.
Fits real long phones!
I have a batter case on my s6 and it will expand just enough to fit the phone and case. Great!
Luv It!!!
I recommend the spring loaded cell phone holder because of the convenience of mounting on my bike and my phone is safe and snug in the holder. Assembly of the holder took some time for me, but economical and well worth it.
This mount fits a variety of phones, mounts solidly to the bike, and holds the phone securely. This holder does not come with a ball or other hardware to fit the RAM system. Be sure to buy the combination, or you'll have to purchase those items separately.
Great phone holder
This Ram Mount works great. Ive been using the Ram X-Grip for the last couple of years. That has worked very well for me, but this thing works even better. It holds it even more securely than the x grip. I dont have to worry about using that rubber band like thing, and it doesnt touch any of the buttons on my phone.
Can?t turn phone sideways on my motorcycle it will rattle out.
Perfect!
Its perfect, look no further.
This phone holder works great.
This phone holder works great on my scooter.
Secure Mount
Stable and secure. Easy to install.
Instructions would save time
Works get, super secure. A confusing process to assemble lol but fail and error.
Works well
It work's well. And i recommend it! Very easy to put your phone in and removal!
ram mount
great quality,easy install,greatprice
Great product for my iphone 8
I was concerned it wouldn't fit well on my Moto Guzzi Griso but it fits like a glove on my handelbars just above the bar clamps.
What's not to like? Works better than all others I've tried
This is my favorite mount so far. I've tried a bunch, and have had mixed success, This one is simple, unobtrusive and holds firmly. It's very easy to slide the phone in and out, even with gloves on, and there is plenty of space between the spring-loaded fingers for a power cable and access to the volume buttons, etc. on the phone.
Rock solid mount
Much more solid mount than the X-grip one. I like the adjustability and how well it protects the phone.
Kyocera Dura Force Pro
I was skeptical of the spindly looking fingers that hold the phone in place. I wanted a strong mount to use off road and adventure touring with a plated dirt bike. It is tougher than it looks. I have used it in very rocky rough terrain in Arkansas for several days now. It performed flawlessly. After that I modified the mount to charge my Kyocera Dura Force Pro with contacts rather than the USB port to maintain the integrity of the water proofness. I am very happy with the results. See the whole story here http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/ultra-rugged-kyocera-phones-gps-smartphones-my-guide.1206076/page-35#post-33410260
Great price for a great product. Sturdy and fit my Galaxy S5 without any issue. Holds it tight and I have no fear of losing it. Already have over 200 miles on and off road and it didn't budge. Would recommend to anyone looking for a secure option.
Iphone 5
This works great! I'm using this with an iphone5 in a life proof case and it fits fine. No worries of loosing your phone with this mount.
No other RAM cell phone holder can top this one
There are many cell phone holders on the market. This one is hands down the best of the RAM products I have used. I tried the X-grip and it sucked. I even used the rubberized holder but the phone still wobbled and did not feel secure.

I used this holder for an 11K mile trip to Alaska that included multiple "off-road practice" sessions. For clarification "off-road practice" is just a pretty way of saying CRASHING. During those multiple crashes my phone never came out.

There are other higher quality products on the market but this one can't be beat for the price.
Best cell holder I've seen
There's no chance your phone shakes out of this holder, it's incredibly secure. It doesn't really matter which way you put the phone in, but the grips on the side allow you to pick a way that won't press any of your phone's buttons on accident. Highly recommended.
Held Tight
Bought this with all the pieces (you need a way for it to attach to the bike, one of the arms and a ball connector along with this piece) and clamped it down to my handlebars. Took one of the teeth out because it interfered with my phone's power/volume button cluster. Only issue is that with my handlebars, the mount blocks my gas cap so I'd have to move it. However, I laid my bike down in early July and despite hitting the ground rather hard (bent the frame, woo) neither the mount nor my phone moved at all. So I can vouch that as long as this is mounted correctly and you don't hit the ground at more than 40 you should be good.
Better than ram x mount
I have four x mounts in various vehicles. I wanted a more secure mount for my motorcycle and something that would not push the side buttons. This unit delivers and is good quality.
Good features
Works great for the iPhone 6, but the iPhone 6plus, it won't work for. It doesn't stretch out long snuffed, but it's a good product for all the cell that it does work for.
Easy to install, easy to use, very secure
This is a fantastic cellphone holder. Takes just minutes to install and adjust to your phone. Easy to get your phone in and out, and once it's in it stays in, very secure.

The only problem I had was that the vibrations from the bike apparently destroyed the mechanical focus of my rear-facing camera. Oh well. Now that phone is my dedicated GPS system. Was more a problem of the phone than the holder, any holder would have done the same over time.

Pair with a Powerlet Powerbar so you can charge your phone/GPS while you're riding.
Holds the Phone Right Where You Need It
I have this mount holding my HTC One M9 on my bike. Even with a phone case this holder fits the phone (barely). I used this along with a RAM handlebar mount kit to attach it to my motorcycle. Overall, the product looks and works nicely.
