Better be good trans oil for the price
Seems to do the job, only put 10 miles on the bike before i got an email requesting a review. For $25/bottle, it better work!

I did my first service on my new road glide and used all red line products. This definetely smooths out the shifting and has made neutral much easier to find.
The previous owner of my Softail used this product in the gearbox, so I continued, with very favorable results.

Great stuff. If you had this stuff in your tranny and it drained out accidentally, you would still get home. Really coats the gears and make shifts smooth. Pink color would let you see it was a transmission leak instead of an oil leak if you had a tranny gasket leak problem. It ain't cheap, but quality stuff isn't. You could probably go 10 K between fluid changes instead of the normal 5 with this stuff. Only downside is that switching from RedLine to another transmission fluid would be messy - it would take a couple of changes before you got all the pink stuff out.<br /><br />PROS: Really Sticky, Pink<br /><br />CONS: Difficult to switch from<br /><br />

Just switched from Bel Ray Big Twin Tranny fluid to this. Bel Ray Tranny Fluid is awesome and bike shifts like butter !!! So why did I switch ???<br /><br />I have Red Line in the engine 20w-60 and Red Line Primary fluid and Love the both so I figured I'd give this a try. The Hot Pink color will sure make it easy to see if there's a leak ever lol...<br /> I was more impressed with the Data sheets on this over Bel Ray with it having a wider viscosity range the Bel Ray being my main reason and secondly I am sold on FULL SYNTHETIC!!!<br /><br />I've had Bikes and been wrenching on them since 1976 and I have tried many many different oils and fluids and IMO that Amsoil and Bel Ray both have been around over 25 years are probably two of my favorites I give Red Line a slight edge based on spectrographic analysis tests I've seen at 1000, 5000, and 10000 mike intervals. Talk to 10 different HD mechanics and you will get 9 different answers on what's best.<br />I don't claim to be an expert either but I will finish with this last remark... I HAVE NEVER HAD AN OIL/FLUID RELATED FAILURE EVER !!! Bikes, Cars, Trucks, Farm Equipment, anything. Thanks For viewing my review. Red Line works !!!

I've been using Redline for years and never had issues. Shifts are smoother and finding nuetral isn't a problem.

Hard neutral
Had a hard time finding neutral. Did a transmission fluid change with this stuff. Went for a ride afterwards found neutral first try. The only stuff I will use.
Redline transmission fluid
Had the sny3 in all three holes for one ride and couldnt stand the noises my bike made. Switched to redline and its back to normal, just the regular Harley noises lol. Use a fluid thats designed for your bike not engine oil in all three holes. It made a difference on my bike

Changed to Red Line Transmission Fluid and noticed a Big Difference in shifting through the gears very smooth. Tried several other brands but Red Line made a difference. Excellent Product for my 2008 Harley Soft Tail.

I absolutely LOVE this tranny oil for all my BIG twins ! Take a tranny apart that has 20k miles of this shockproof on the gears ,and you will also LOVE this oil .
Flushed all the old fluid from transmission, refilled with Redline, shifts are very smooth now and the clunk when shifting is gone..will be using this at next change too.

It looks a little different that your average transmission fluid but it really works well, there is a notable difference in trans noise, shifts better and finds neutral much easier. I use it in all my bikes.
easy shifting
Since I started using the Reline v-twin trans oil the bike has been easier to place into neutral and shifting seems to be much better. I would highly recommend this oil. and it's pink to boot.

I changed out the factory transmission oil with this stuff when I swapped my derby cover on my sportster and did some minor clutch adjustments. Noticed a big difference right away in clutch performance. Not the best thing since sliced bread but a great upgrade from the factory oil.

Seems Like A Good Product
I bought this oil to see if I could quiet down the loud clunking sound when shifting my Harley transmission. It seems to have helped a bit. Apparently it is thicker than the stock Harley oil so there is a thin coating on there that adds a shock absorber effect.

HD Xmsn Oil
Only a couple hundred miles on the change on my 2002 Lowrider, but xmsn seems to be smoother and Neutral easy to find.

I have 48,000 miles on my 2005 HD Electra Glide and just started using Red Line transmission fluid in it. I noticed smoother shifting right away and now it is easy to shift into neutral when I'm at a dead stop. Great stuff!!!

Finding neutral is so much easier!!
Wonderful product! Drained the old Spectro and replaced with RL. Within the first 100 miles I could tell the difference. Quieter and smother shifts. Finding neutral was such a breeze with my toe instead of reaching down with my lefthand. There is still that "clunk" but it is less of a harsh movement. Great product indeed.

I installed this tranny oil before a trip. I'm now in the middle of the trip with close to 800 miles on the oil and I can't say I've noticed any difference. in shifting or noise etc like others have claimed. I'm sure it's great oil but I haven't noticed anything.

Pricey but Red Line tranny oil is the only oil I will put in my transmission. Full disclosure, I have used another popular synthetic and had no problems, just won't ever use anything but Red Line since I tried it. Like all high quality lubricants it's cheap insurance.

This stuff is miraculous! Bike has 67000 miles on the clock and Red Line Tranny Fluid made is shift like a knife in hot butter. Also no more tranny klunks. GREAT STUFF!!
I had to purchase this product locally as it took over two weeks for it to finally arrive. The oil performed great. Easier shifting and less noise going through the gears. Never used it before but this is what I'm going to use in the future.
I first started using this product based solely on the reviews I had read. It did not disappoint. Be careful not to overfill as it will migrate into the primary case through the jack-shaft seal, mixing with the oil. The standout performance was immediately apparent when going into neutral. Shifting is smoother and more concise. Excellent product.

Almost 60k on my 2010 Electra Glide. Got her with less than 1k. Did the 5k service with Shockproof and every 3 hole change since I've had this in the tranny. 10+ changes later and she still runs like the day I got her. I'm in South Florida where the heat can melt a Harley. Only stuff I use.

I have three Harleys,all purchased new. Oldest one is 20yo 56000 miles. I always used Red Line trans fluid mixed 50-50 with other brands( H.D.- Amsoil- Belray-Mobil1 etc). Shifts smoother and neutral is easier to apply.

I have put this in my 97 Ultra and 95 Dyna and the shifts improved , smooth and positive . The only problem I notice is when I 1st go from neutral to 1st gear there is a loud "clunk" which I attribute to the viscosity of the oil . Time will tell if it protects the transmission from wear over the long run .

Just put in my 6sp transmission. It was easier to put into nuetral. As far as shifting, I didn't notice much difference.

Better than most other transmission oils in my 2011 Road King that has 96 C.I. engine with 6 spd. trans, but not as good as the Amsoil heavy weight oil. The RedLine with shockproof is not as smooth, being jerky, kind of like slack is running in and out at the beginning and end of acceleration. Not so with Amsoil severe gear oil.

Heavy gear oil is probably still the best I've used, but this stuff is awesome. The color allows for easy fluid checks and finding any possible leaks. Definitely took the clunk out of the tranny.

Absolutely awesome! This stuff replaced the standard Harley fluid; no longer do I have the CLUNK of shifting and it's much easier to find neutral. This truly makes shifting as smooth as silk! I highly recommend it and I will definitely be purchasing this again!

Does what it's supposed to do, but honestly didn't notice any difference in performance over the HD Formula+ I drained out. Looks like pepto bismol, but doesn't taste as good. ;-)
Decided to give this lube a try. Was surprised at the appearance, it looks more like strawberry milk than oil.
