"Dark Smoke" is indeed, not completely transparent.
I read a few reviews on here that the "Dark Smoke" visor was a bit hazy, but I expected that those people didn't know how to properly clean the visor, or somehow mishandled it.<br /><br />However, on my very first ride with it, I could tell that it was hazy and not perfectly clear. You can't replicate the effect indoors, but outdoors riding toward the sun, all of the shadows wash out. I've since ensured it was completely clean, and the effect remains. This is disappointing, but not so pronounced that I would call it inherently dangerous.<br /><br />I will continue to use the visor, primarily because I have a face only a mother could love, and prefer to disguise it.
Gold Mirror
Love it!!! Fits perfect. EXO T1200 changes like a breeze with nothing more than your fingers.<br /><br />For those who say it scratches easily, here's the thing...<br /><br />It has an identical film as an expensive pair of sunglasses. If you touch it with your fingers and leave it, it will "tarnish." If you use solvents, it will dissolve. If you use (what the manual says) mild soap (at most) and water with one of the soft microfiber cloths that come with said sunglasses, this lasts for a very long time without issue. <br /><br />I also found zero distortion and the tint is perfect. You can still use the interna visor on super bright days and leave it on even in days that are very overcast and dreary. <br /><br />Suggestion: I use the helmet bag the t1200 can with to carry the visors in and put it in my rear bin. I also keep a microfiber pouch in with it. Works great.
DO NOT BUY DARK SMOKE
As others have reviewed the Dark Smoke is very hazy. I am very disappointed... As soon as it hits the sun it goes hazy, tried everything, has to be a design flaw as i am not alone... In the shade its clear. Wish i could return it.... <br /> At $34.95 its a total waste. Im left with the clear and sunglasses. DO NOT BUY THE DARK SMOKE!
Get the mirror over the smoke
I ordered the smoke and mirrored finish extra face shields for my helmet.<br /><br />The mirror one works great, don't need sunglasses when I ride. <br /><br />However, the smoke catches the sunlight and creates a very distracting 'lightning' effect.
New dark smoke models hazy/cloudy
I have two of these tinted face shields from last year. When I ordered a new one, it was very hazy in direct sunlight. Thinking it must have been a manufacturer defect, I ordered another one. This one is just as bad. Looking closer at my old face shield, it has a different tint to it, and is perfectly clear. I strongly recommend against the dark tinted model (I haven't tried any of the others) until they fix this obvious defect.
Silver mirror is a good finish
It is everything a good silver mirror visor should be. The tint is dark enough to reduce eye strain from bright sunlight, and still not to dark in low light situations. It looks great, the fit and finish are average, it feels slightly to thin and flexes slightly when closing with the finger tab on the bottom edge, but nothing to worry about. <br />You won't be disappointed.
the smoked lens is cloudy, not as clear as sun glasses
the clear lens is perfect but the smoked lens is cloudy, just like smoke! not as clear as wearing sun glasses with clear lens, I'm quite disappointed but not enough to return anything.
Nice touch
I purchased the gold mirror for my exo-t1200. Looks great, nice little touch if you ask me. I almost feel as if it makes people notice you more out on the road, so you could say it may add a nice safety factor in as well. <br /><br />Pretty solid during sunny days too, I wear mine early in the mornings when it's still dark, its no great but all not bad to where you couldn't. I haven't had to use my built in shades since I've had it.<br /><br />Grab you one uf deeeeeezzzz
Dark smoke has haze to it
I purchase a dark smoke visor for every helmet I have owned. This is my first from Scorpion.<br /><br />This dark smoke visor seems (to me) to not have perfect clarity.<br /><br />It looks like you are riding through mist or fog on a bright sunny day. It produces it's own glare effect more than it reduces one with the tint. I don't know if this filtering effect is intentional on Scorpions part or a defect in the manufacturing.<br /><br />I tried to live with it.<br />But during the third ride with it I got so agravated I swapped it back to the original clear. I will not be putting it back on.<br /><br />It was a distraction to me and that made it unsafe to use.<br /><br />Out of package and used this item is obviously not returnable. So I feel like I wasted my money.<br /><br />I would not reccomend this product.
Dark Smoke Visor
I have the Scorpion R410 Convoy helmet with a clear visor, but I wanted a dark smoke visor as well. I wear my eyeglasses while riding so a dark visor was needed for some eye protection from the sun. Saw a few other reviewers say that the dark smoke visor was hazy, but it was my only option for my helmet so I ordered it anyway. I am so glad I did! I do not have this problem at all! It is perfectly clear and the vision with the dark smoke option is exactly the same as a pair of sunglasses. The dark visor also looks much better with my helmet. It was very easy to install, and I am looking forward to going out riding even on the sunniest of days!
Barely doesnt fit
It seems just ever so slightly too small for my helmet..I have an r710 and i was able to put it on easily enough but it doesnt quite close all the way when installed. Theres a very small gap as if it were slightly to small. Other than that it looks great and functions great.

I bought the Gold Mirror shield to refresh the look of my helmet. I had previously purchased and used the Dark Smoke shield and it served its purpose, although after about a year, the anti-fog coating on the inside started to show some wear/scratches. This is fine after the time I guess, I will still use it from time to time.<br /><br />The new shield is a bit less dark in overall tint, but that actually helps extend the use later into the evening so not really a gripe. <br /><br />The mirroring looks pretty minimal indoors, but with daylight hitting it, it looks a lot better. Its also worth mentioning that youll need to keep it absolutely spotless to keep it looking good. Any water droplets or smudges from hands or glove will show up very well on the mirrored shield. I use a microfiber cloth and a can of tint-safe invisible glass to clean it.

Chrome Mirror Finish Wears to Easily
The initial finish and clarity of the chrome mirror visor was excellent. I was however pretty disappointed with how quickly the mirror finish would wear off. Even from just daily use, I would get large scratches and spots. The clarity after a year is still quite good however, no cloudiness or distortion in the shield. <br /><br />Shame the mirror finish wears off so easily, I really liked the look of this visor and the ability the visor was able to block out some of the radiant heat when riding on sunny days.
Looks great but scratches easy
The visor looks awesome!!! I have the chrome finish and it works perfectly with and without sun in your eyes. Not to dark and not too light.<br />The only bad thing about the visor is the finish can get scratched off easy. I was wiping down the visor to get the bugs off and one bug required more focus than the rest. After wiping with a little more force to remove that bug I noticed that the chrome finish in that spot had faded away. Now I presoak the visor in warm water before wiping it down. This makes the bugs much easier to wipe off

Works on The Harley-Davidson Version of this Helmet
Scorpion made a new helmet for Harley-Davidson but for whatever reason Harley-Davidson only offers the clear face shield. I have the smoke grey and silver-mirror and like them both.
Why?
I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that with the visors, they only put a lift tab on the left side. Yes that's nice to have when riding since my right hand must control the throttle but when at a light it's now my left hand that must keep in the clutch. It's not always convenient to put the bike in neutral. Other then just being cheap, and since the preview model helmet visors has lift tabs for both hands, their's no reason not to do the same with this model. All visors should have lift tabs so that either hand can lift it.
Simple & Great
Really enjoy using my visor. It has a really good tint that can be used not only during sunny days but overcast, mornings, and even evenings. I've got caught and had to do a night ride with it before and I could still see enough to drive safely home (not a long distance). To that same effect it does great at blocking out the sun on bright days. I strongly recommend the Smoke.

Exactly what I expected
I have an Exo R710 helmet and this shaded visor fits perfectly onto it. It provides excellent dimming and clarity on sunny days. Switching between visors is almost too easy; it functions identically to the original.

Light Smoke Shield
I got the light smoke to go with the drop down visor. I have sensitive eyes so the light smoke helps in early mornings and I can also see through it when it is dark outside so it works for my. I am a Scorpion user for many years and like their products.

Worth it
Fit perfectly on my exo-r320, I think it seals better than the original as well, only way I can be seen through it is riding into a sun set, other than that it is reflective and not see through, super happy with it. Worth every penny.
Gray Face Shield
The shield is a bit darker than how it looks in photos but for me the degree of tint is spot on. Greatly reduces the glare of summertime Georgia sun but not yo the point vision is negatively affected. Would not use it at night but I am not a nigh time rider. Easy on, easy off.
Good for day time riding.
I got the smoked visor and it works sometimes to well. I would advise not riding late into the night or having a clear one on the ready as with no street lights it will get hard to see.

Fits perfectly and upgrades helmet
Got the dark smoke, fits my R710 perfectly and looks like a huge upgrade. Rode comfortably for a few hours in the afternoon. No vibrations or gaps. Easy to take on and off (though would recommend checking YouTube, it's not the most intuitive). It immediately fogged up, though, even though it wasn't very cold outside.

Ive owned my scorpion helmet for about 1 year. The new face shield I purchased was for changing the look of the helmet. Went for ride yesterday and absolutely love it. Was able to see very well out of this shield even when it started getting dark. Absolutely the easiest and cleanest install. 5 stars

Clean and sleek
Fits obviously but has a great look and pretty good to clean. I use alcohol free wipes which I recommend especially if you have tinted visors. And a microfiber to clean after the wipes. However it does fog up a little bit if you dont have it cracked open slightly like any other visor Ive had at cold weather

Only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because during the day the face shield is see through and not completely dark its my only issue, easy to put on, overall satisfied! Going to try the gold one next!

I bought the gold tint and the black smoke and they both are to light of a shade. When wearing other people can see your face.
Smoke Visor
The smoke is great not to light and not to dark. I race sometimes close to dark and it's not a problem. Easy to take off and on. I bought this visor to fit the Scorpion EXO-R710. Couldn't be more pleased. The price was comparable to other visors I've seen just wish they were cheaper.
Awesome Helmet
Bang for the Buck- A SNELL rated helmet at the $200 price point... cant beat it. Also has emergency pull tabs for liner removal (hopefully we never need it, but a nice safety feature to have).<br /><br />Protection- Cross my fingers luckily i havnt had the ability to test this yet, but it carries a SNELL/DOT rating, so rest assured it will do its job.<br /><br />Features- Maybe im being knit picky because there isnt much wrong with this helmet, but there is no drop down visor so you need to buy a tinted face shield for those bright sunny days, but again carrying a SNELL rating this thing is ment for the track, not to appease your stylish needs. <br /><br />Comfort- Incredibly comfortable, and a fairly light helmet. <br /><br />Style- Not the best looking helmet on the market, but nowhere near the worst. <br /><br />Ease of Install- Ready to go out of the box, face shield switching system is extremely easy on and off.<br /><br />My only overall concern with the helmet is the occasional dust coming/tiny debrees coming into the helmet. It isnt bad but at highway speeds if there is something in front of me kicking up any dust it definitely comes through the helmet, more so when the chin vent is wide open even though it has a filter. Also at high speeds wind seems to creep through the sides of the face shield, but again nothing to major and its above and beyond what i expected for $200. Airflow is great otherwise on hot days, not too much wind noise.
Nice tinted face shield
I bought the tinted face shield so I wouldn't have to keep changing my glasses. Very easy to put on and it works great to keep the sun glare out of my eyes. I haven't had any problems with scratches on this shield yet but I know over time it will get a few just like all my other shields have not a big deal. Cleans easily with a soft cloth and warm water. Bonus is it looks great on the helmet!
Mirror visor
I got the yellow mirror visor to block out the sun since people said the smoke was hazy. Vision is very clear thru the mirror, and it blocks out light very well!! I'm very happy with the purchase, albeit kinda expensive
Mirror finish didn't last long, but otherwise, good visor
Hard to say if I'd recommend this product to someone or not. If you don't plan on getting any bugs on your visor, you're fine. I got one bug on mine, and very gently wiped it off with a clean, damp, microfiber cloth, and...well, there's a huge chunk of the mirror finish missing. Right over my left eye. Very disappointed. I've worn it every day since I bought it about two months ago, and haven't had a single problem until that bee. I'm probably not going to continue using it, and will purchase an ordinary tinted shield.<br /><br />The clarity is good, and I'll say that the anti-fog is amazing! I'm nervous to clean up the inside of the visor now, though, as some rain did make its way in and left some little ghost-droplets.
Mirrored shield scratches very easily
Bought the blue one for my wife's helmet. Thing got scratched fairly quickly. 6 months out has a lot of scratches.<br /><br />So just a warning, thing scratches fairly easily. If you are careful, I guess you'll be ok, but how careful can we really be with our helmets?<br /><br />For the price, I can't recommend it. Unless you just care that much about mirrored face shield. I'd recommend you get a non-mirrored smoke color instead.

This is a great replacement faceshield. The original one on the helmet was very soft and scratched easily, but this replacement is much tougher and has stayed clear and mostly scratch free for a few years now.

Got this to replace the original that had a few scratches. Very clear now, and it apparently seals better than the original, and I no longer have to press on the left side to stop a whistle.

I've read several reviews stating that the Face Shield was hazy. Must have been a bad batch, as this one is clear! Blocks the sun well and was super easy to install. I also have the Silver Mirror Shield and love it!

Great Tinted Visors - highly recommend!
The tinted visors are incredible. Extremely clear and easy to see through despite the tint to them and even at night, your vision is still extremely good for how dark it is outside. I've had models from different companies that make it dangerous ridding at night due to the tint and the lack of vision. Note they are a little expensive but at the end of the day if you want a tinted visor this is one that's worth the money.

It is a really nice shield, the reason why i gave 3 stars it is because i felt that this shield scratch easily than the dark smoke, but it is a problem that all the mirror shields have, it looks amazing on my raven helmet....

It's a very high quality visor that I haven't had much trouble riding with at night either. Make sure to keep it clean and use correct cleaner or you will get streaks.
A Decent Dark Smoke Shield
As has been described by other reviews, I Did Not have the problems with the Dark Smoke Shield. Upon receipt of the shield, I promptly cleaned it, front and back, and have had no problems with distortion or hazing. The Dark Smoke Shield is Excellent for bright conditions, Seals well, however, it is a Bit Flimsy, unlike the included clear OEM shield. Not as effective as the photochromic shields but still effective. Good Buy.

Crappy Tint
I ordered the silver visor assuming that the build and quality would be on par with the visor from my EXO-750 Vintage helmet which I had ordered in gold many years ago...sadly not so. On my gold visor from the 750, I used windex all the time on it to get the bug gunk off and never had any problems...with this visor...one spritz of windex took off all the silver tinting!!! Scorpion is obviously not making visors the way they used to. Even before I used the windex, it always had a weird haze to it when riding into the sun; something I never experienced with my EXO750 visors. I'm very disappointed with the quality on this especially considering the cost. Now, I know some will say that I should not be using windex on a visor, but when I had done so on my previous visor with zero issues, I naturally assumed the new visor would handle it just like the old one. Very disappointed.

Fits but scratches easily
I have ran Scorpion helmets for years, and have always had good experience with their shields. These snap on easy and look good at first, but they seem to scratch really easily. I usually try to clean them solely with microfiber clothes and eye glass cleaner, but they still seem to get pretty scratched. I'll keep buying them because Scorpion helmets fit me great, but I wish they held up longer than a year.

Dark Smoke Shield.... Don't buy this shield
I really hate to write bad reviews but this shield warrants it. Like others here have said, there seems to be a glaze over the shield. I almost wrecked because it was such a distraction.<br /><br />Unfortunately you can't remove with any products. I had to remove and use the clear shield that came with the helmet. Bummer!

This product matced up perfect to my new helmet. The dark smoke color is a lot darker than it appears in the pictures. Perfect amount of tint for mid day riding, like wearing a pair of Ray-Bans.

Didn't take long to get scratches from everyday use.
I followed the suggested cleaning procedure and was fine for a week or so. Then on one ride I noticed it was pretty scratched up and can't even place where they would have come from.<br /><br />Anyways, its really your only option for a dark shield that I can find for my helmet. At lease its not too expensive.
Mirror Shield Lacked Durability
I have both the dark smoke shield and just recently purchased the mirror shield. The look of the mirror shield is very nice but it only took about 3 months for it to get scratches everywhere. I did follow the cleaning instructions but the film on the mirror shield is very sensitive. I do recommend the scorpion face shields overall, but be wary of the mirror ones. I'll be sticking with my dark smoke.

Scorpion Exo 2000 Air GP Air
I was very skeptical in buying this Gold Shield, because my helmet is EXO2000 Air GP and description did not include this model. Anyway, I went ahead and bought R2000 Gold Shield and fitted perfectly! <br /><br />Haven't tested scratch proof. And for those wondering about the tint, it's slightly smoked tint so not recommend riding at night. Even-though not as dark as smokey. <br /><br />Overall, the gold tint reflection is beautiful and result is same as stock photo. But the shield price is quite expensive compare to other branded helmets. Anyway, good shield :)
Just a visor but a cool one
Got this visor for my Scorpion EXO-710 helmet. I went with the gold mirror tint. Works like it should. Other reviews are right about it scratching a little easy but the only scratches I got are on the sides where it locks into helmet anyways. <br /><br />All in all, good product.

I got the mirrored shield which looks good but you gotta be careful. Tried to clean a bug off of it with a microfiber cloth and some water and it scratched the ... out of it. I didn't realize it was happening until it was too late I'm not saying don't buy it, just be careful. Run it under lukewarm water and wipe gently with a paper towel.
Light Smoke Shield
It's a Light Smoke Shield to fit a new Scorpion EXO T510 helmet... I purchased the helmet in Nov./Dec. 2015... This shield has been on back order since I bought the Helmet... Scorpion had other shield colors... even the Dark Smoke... but no Light Smoke to be found... The EXO T510 comes with a drop down visor, and most reviews I read complain it's not dark enough... I agree, it could go another 10%, but then again I live in the Sunshine State... So I was trying to find a shield that when riding during the day, would help give my drop down visor that needed 10%, (And It Does) but was light enough to keep riding into the night without carrying around a shield change... so far I don't seem to have any issues with using it during my ride to work at 1am or 2am... But it's worth noting that I live and work in a major metro area with wall to wall street lights... I don't know how safe I would feel riding with it in between city's on Interstate 95 when the highway lights are gone...But it's working for me they way I'm using it...
Good shield for the price.
I bought the dark smoke shield. The fit to the helmet is outstanding. It seals very securely and I don't get any whistles or wind noise. The downside, there seems to be a haze looking through the shield that won't go away. I've tried washing it with mild detergent and warm water to no avail. It's not bad enough that I can't see, but it's far from crystal clear.
Good Price, Does what you need.
Fit perfectly. I chose the Dark Smoke, and it does very well at keeping the brightness down on the California sun. I also wear sunglasses under it, but feel comfortable riding with just the visor as well. At night, it's on the verge of being too dark, but you can definitely ride in a city with all the street lamps and be totally fine. Not sure about it being legal or not though. Check the local laws about tinted visors at night.

The quality of vision is excellent. Only appears to be black, but inside is not dark.

This is a very well molded visor. It's dark but you can see the face in the sun. Fits right on since it's made for the helmet I'm using.
Does exactly what it's meant to do*
I purchased this visor to go along with me Scorpion EXO-410 helmet. I got the dark smoke, and here in Southern California it's a must to have a tinted visor with the sun coming down hard in the Spring and Summer. It does exactly what it's suppose to do and protects my eyes from the harsh light.

What I had expected
Was looking for a tinted shield for my Scorpion exo-r710 for a little protection from the sun while out riding. Went with the Gold version of this shield to match up with the California graphic on the helmet. Seems to be a good shield so far. Maybe a tiny bit of bubbling down under the lift tab, but it really doesn't bother me. Visibility is good during the day and the tint isn't too dark for city riding when I get caught out after sunset, but there is a bit of a haze from lights which I think comes from the coating. I've seen reviews that the coating can scratch easily, but I haven't had any issues with that yet (cleaned multiple times with invisible glass and clean microfiber towels). Overall, very happy with the product and will likely replace with the same if I even need to.
The gold makes it look beautiful!
This makes my r2000 helemet look so badass. I people around me are like nice etc. I got the gold just because it looks so beautiful! I still dont have a scratch on the face shield like others had mentioned(knock on wood) but so far it still looks clean. Its ok for sunny days like in texas, but i would truly recommend if you dont want a plain clear visor or black tint one.

Looks Great, Fits Perfect, whistles a little
Overall a great visor, it looks great and fits my Scorpion EXO-410 perfectly. The only issue that I have with it is that sometimes when I close it on the helmet it doesn't quite seat correctly and I hear a light whistle in the helmet. This is quickly taken care of by simply reseating the visor.<br /><br />Overall I love the look it brings to my Grey Dr. Sin Scorpion EXO-410

Great shield
The shield is exactly as described. Fits the helmet perfectly. I wish it was just a little darker. I would buy this shield again but I am trying to find a way to make it a little darker. Just enough so people can't see my face
IT'S THE RIGHT SHIELD FOR ANYTHING
So this shield is great because it's good tint for sunlight, yetat night it's not too smoked, in fact I find myself wearing sunglasses under it more than I feel the need to wear yellow or clears at night and leaving it open. AND IT LOOKS AMAZING!
Gold shield issue
I bought the gold shield for sunny days and for the striking visual contrast that the mirror gold would provide verses my flat black R410. I had read a review or 2 about how easily you can scratch the mirror coating on the shield. Unfortunately I did not realize HOW easy it actually was.<br /><br />My first ride with the shield I picked up 2 nats. I stopped for lunch and attempted to clean the shield. The simple act of wiping the bugs off scratched the coating.<br /><br />I am impressed with the look but not at all with the coating. I'm going to use this shield to test cleaning methods. If I can't find a way to clean it without taking the coating off I will not buy another.

dark smoke
Its dark. Works well. You can see with the sun in your face, and you can see well enough to ride at night. It gets little scratches all over it from cleaning, kind of annoying but bearable. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Purchased Silver Mirror and Dark Smoke
I purchased these for my T1200. Both fit well without troubles. I wish the mirror shield was a bit more mirrored and the dark shield was a little darker. Pricing isn't terrible for what you get.
Silver Mirror: Not so silver
I purchased this shield hoping it would be chrome as most silver mirror shields are. Depending on the lighting most of the time it is more dark smoke. Sun protection is on par with dark smoke, but the style is not as chrome as I would have liked it. If you're looking for a chrome shield i'd think twice about one for these helmets.
Good looking replacement visor
I bought this for my EXO-R710 helmet in the blue color. It's a directly replacement and switches out clean and easy with the original. It looks great on my white helmet and is easy to clean after riding with it. It shades very well and makes it so i don't have to worry about sunglasses or anything during the daytime. It gets a bit tough to see around dusk or dawn and should probably be switched with a clear at those times. And in the darkness, i don't recommend wearing at all.<br /><br />I do wish they would give us more colors for it. I would love a green one!
If you haven't had a mirroed face shield read this
the only downside is that the mirror is created by almost like a film of vinyl this is I am sure easily scratch-able so if you're prone to dropping your helmets a lot or being careless with them it will mess up your visor. Whereas the dark and light tint have the plastic color altered so a scratch in that will have no effect in the overall look. Hope this was helpful! I also had the gold mirror too.
Silver Mirror is GREAT
I got the silver mirror visor for my R710 red and black helmet and it fits perfectly and looks even better! Gives a nice tint that's not too dark.

Fits as good as OEM
I bought the dark smoke face shield for the EXO-R710. It fits exactly like the OEM faceshield the helmet came with. It darkens like a medium pair of sunglasses. Works perfectly for everything other than riding towards a low sun right in front of you.

Mirrored face shield
the mirrored face sheild looks good on my scorpion helmet and it also does a great job keeping the sun out of your eyes and the mirroring on the outside does not affect visibility either. The only problem is it is a major pain to keep clean and be very careful not to scuff it up

regular mirrored finish
I bought this product to fit on my Scorpion EXO R710 focus helmet. This made the helmet look very sleek and stylish. I love it because I'm all ways making faces when riding or sitting a light. Cleaning is simple I use a cleaning spray for glasses and a regular microfiber towel. I would recommend double checking the product your using to make sure it does not have ammonia because I've herd that removes the mirrored finish slowly.

Exactly what I wanted but I didn't even know it
I've never owned a pair of sunglasses or any glasses that were tinted and I was reluctant to buy the smoked glass for my helmet, but it looked much nicer with it. I decided to give it a try and I could not be happier. It's a fantastic product and I didn't realize how much I was straining my eyes before. If you ride with the visor down and then flip it up later on, you can see how harsh the sunlight is.<br /><br />I couldn't be more pleased, I didn't even know I needed it. Now I don't ride without it, I do keep my clear visor in my backpack just in case it rains or I'll be riding at night though.<br /><br />All in all It reminds me of goggles for snowboarding, put them on and in a couple seconds it's just the "normal picture." If you have tried a tinted pair--I highly recommend seeing what you are missing out on.

Looks great on my new R410 Skyline Phantom Helmet. The visor is a little lighter than previous mirror blue shields I've owned from Scorpion but it does its job. I'm happy with it. Looks good On my Helmet!

I wear this shield for my EXO-R710 and it fits. Easy on, easy off. Just wore it for my early morning (5:30am) commute to work and the dark smoke color is not too bad.
Gold mirror looks great
As other reviews have said, it's not too dark, but definitely takes the edge of the sun. Mirror finish is nice and reflective.

Exactly what you would expect from a shield.
The shield fits perfectly and does a decent job of blocking out sunlight. It is no substitution for direct sunlight and when riding into the sun, you may need sunglasses.<br /><br />There is a little bit of a green tint to the shield, but it looks sweet, doesn't leak any air, and fits tight to the helmet.<br /><br />Exactly what you would expect and worth the money!

I purchased the gold mirrored face shield for my matte black helmet and the color combination looks soo good. I get compliments on it often - the gold is almost like a greenish/yellow/gold color with the perfect amount of tint even at night time.<br /><br />My favorite!
Gold Mirror
I purchased a R2000 helmet, so I already received the tinted visor, but I wanted to try and increase my Hi-Viz profile, so I purchased the gold mirror visor.... And swiggity swooty does it look good! Lighter on the tint than the one that came with my helmet, so it has that going for it. My ONLY gripe, if you can really consider it one, is that the visor comes in a heat-shrink plastic that has to be the loudest plastic ever produced. Think Sun Chips bag, but worse. I WISH it came with a protective sleeve, so I have a proper place to put it if/when it isn't installed, but alas that shan't be.

An aesthetic sun protection option for your helmet.
I purchased the Silver-Mirror version of this face-shield and have been riding with it for about 2 weeks. So far, I can't say enough good things about it.<br /><br />It blocks the sun surprisingly well compared to the other mirrored shields/sunglasses on the market today. Even when going directly into the sun, which always seems to be the case during my commute, the glare is reduced well enough so you're able to stay aware of oncoming traffic and any hazards you may run into.<br /><br />For those cold mornings, though, even though Scorpion has supposedly the best anti-fog coating on the market, I still find myself cracking the visor to rid the inside of fog and moisture. Being new to riding and not exactly experienced with a wide array of helmets/face-shields, this may just be how it is across the board, but I feel that the anti-fog isn't doing as much as it could, but still very good when the conditions allow.
Works just like it should
I bought the dark smoke face shield for sunny San Diego weather - I use it pretty much daily and it helps to darken my view & block out glare like a pair of sunglasses. I definitely recommend it for daytime riding. I switch out to the clear face shield at night (which is super easy on the EXO-R410) since the dark smoke is pretty heavily tinted.

Dark Smoke Review (EXO-R2000)
This one actually came with my EXO-R2000. It works excellently and looks awesome with its sleek design! You do not need sunglasses at all. I will say that it works surprisingly well at night. Despite that information, I do not recommend riding with it at night (I forgot my clear one in my other backpack once). You'll be much better off with the clear. The shield changes are quick and easy. As for airflow, its as best as a shield can be when you tilt it up with the built-in helmet lever.<br /><br />I highly recommend this! I plan on getting the silver one in the future.
great look, but can't help feeling it's overpriced
I bought a silver mirrored face shield to go with my white Scorpion EXO-R410 Helmet. It fits well and shield changes are quick and easy. Within the first month of use I'd already noticed a blemish/scratch on the shield, but I suppose that's par for the course? (I'm not sure, this is my first helmet.) On super bright days I've considered wearing sunglasses underneath for additional darkening, but 95% of the time this is all you need during an all-day ride. Airflow is adequate when one side of the shield is tilted up by the built-in helmet lever; not much else to say there.<br /><br />Overall i'm quite satisfied with the product. I can't help but think it's overpriced for a piece of plastic, but I'd buy it again considering that the EXO-R410 feels like a good value for the price point and adding on an extra tinted/mirrored shield gives me a full field-of-view (and cooler look) for only $55 more than a $160 stock helmet.

Bought this to replace my gold shield, thought it would be to light of a tint but it's actually perfect, I ride to work towards the sun and tend to ride back at night perfect both ways, my last one I had to either suffer wearing sunglasses underneath the clear shield or take my chances and pray I make it home with the gold lol. I got the dark smoke and like others said it's dark enough not to need sunglasses on a sunny day. Easy snap on and off with the helmet. Worth the money to me, easier than sunglasses.
Easy to replace, great tint in sun
The dark smoke shield looks great with the Phantom black helmet and fits on both men's and women's helmets. My girlfriend has a clear women's small and I have a smoke men's large and we can swap shields if we go somewhere at night (I'll take her clear shield so I can see at night). Would not recommend riding with the smoke at night.
Excellent Faceshield
Excellent Faceshield for Scorpion EXO-R2000 / EXO-R410 helmets. The dark smoke version does a good job of blocking full sunshine, does not distort vision, and fits helmet perfectly.<br /><br />Would recommend washing off film residue left by clear protective plastic before riding. Warm soapy water and a microfiber cloth worked well for me.
You were just what I was looking for
I got a dark smoke shield so that I didn't have to wear sunglasses inside my R410 helmet on sunny days. It works exactly as I had hoped--super easy to swap out with my clear shield and dark enough to not need sunglasses underneath. Plus, if I do say so myself, I think it looks pretty good with the hi-viz helmet.<br /><br />Fit and finish is exactly the same as my original clear shield. Neither fogs up on me, but I haven't had them out in cold/humid conditions yet. A little pricey, but it's worth it.
