Nothing but problems
Sena is trash, nothing but problems. Read the forums, including Sena's own, and you will see nothing but problems, including the latest breakage of voice commands. Using voice commands via Siri, or Google, is a huge safety feature for riders. If Shoei only supports one model of comms and they do not hold their partners to quality standards, then this is shame on Shoei as well. This pretty much ensures this is my second and last Neotec and last Sena product.
Designed for bare hands. Speech recognition a joke.
Pro: communication functions work well. Battery charge life is good. I'm getting around 24hrs of charge using it 2 hours per day. The fit in a Neotec 3 helmet is very clean and straightforward.

Con: using this unit with virtually any type of glove is impossible. I mostly ride with Klim induction summer weight gloves and trying to do simple tasks like turning the unit on while riding (because I forgot to turn it on before I gloved up) is almost impossible. Buttons are too small and indistinguishable from each other with gloves (other than surgical type gloves).
The voice control software is VERY poorly written. If you forget the exact syntax, there's NO HELP FUNCTION ("Hey Sena Help", result = dead air, "Hey Sena Commands, or List Commands", etc. = dead air. "Hey Sena Battery" = dead air, "Hey Sena CHECK Battery" = "battery level is high {medium, low}". Programming a speech recognition system with no synonyms for their reserved words is a MAJOR FAIL. You MUST use their exact syntax or you'll get no response.
Misc.: the boom microphone will be pressed against your lips if you want to close (and latch/lock) the chin bar. Otherwise, it interferes with the helmet's ability to latch/lock in full face configuration. I'm used to this now, so it doesn't make me crazy anymore.
Had I known about the "cons" above, I never would have purchased this very expensive communication device. Especially the poor implementation of the buttons.
Looks great, works great, support awful
I watched a good number of videos on installation of the SRL4 into my brand new Shoei Neotec3. I have always used Sena. The smh10. With the clip and wart that hangs off the side. Worked great did. But when the opportunity came along to buy the integrated Sena SRL3 I went for it. This is not an inexpensive arrangement. $900 helmet, $300 com system.

Installation is fairly straight forward. Lots of YouTube videos on that. (Hint.. you don't have to try and hide the wires between the liner and the shell.) The removable cheek pads do most of the hiding. Do not fully remove the top liner you don't have to do anything with it.

Installation on the SRL3 was quick and painless. The sounds quality is very good. And the way they integrate into the helmet shell is very slick. You wouldn't know they were even there if not for the blue blinking light. I haven't tried mesh mode as I ride alone most of the time. But it seems stupid simple.

My biggest beef comes with Sena support. Their isn't any
Does not work while charging!
I've used Sena comms for over 10 years (10s, 20s, and a 50) and so have never had to consider that a comms would actually have a built-in 'feature' that automatically turns off the comms when you plug it in to a charger. Of course, since it's installed already, I can no longer return this.

What's the point of making a comms unit for helmet like a Shoei Neotec 3 that you can't even operate continuously past 6-8 hours? That makes this useless for touring.

Unfortunately this headset also doesn't allow for the use of wired buds (once again something that my 10s, 20s, and 50 did).

If you're planning on anything other than short joyrides or commuting, steer far clear of this.
Very good bluetooth
So far I like this bluetooth system, seems to work well and sound is good. I have the previous generation on my Shoei air 2 and never had any problems with it therefore I don't expect any with this one. Only negative is getting charger to connect to wifi for updates.
SENA SRL3
I like it. It integrates very well with the Shoei Neotec 3. Much easer to install than my last SENA in a Neotec 1. I wish software updates could be made via cellular instead of WiFi; that'd make it perfect for me.
Awesome Sena product!
Awesome communication system , voice activation, controls - etc. inter one helmet to helmet - perfect. FM radio is a great feature as well. Mesh comm. all works perfectly.
Very happy!!
Sena SRL 3
This has more functions than I will ever use, but sounds great.
Speaker Blow
Only used this thing like 4 times and the left speaker blow out. Never even put it on max vol.. Lucky Rev-zilla refunded me my money but it was still a pain in the ass putting in the helmet just to take it out to ship it back smh.
Great addition to my helmet
Great sound and installation was easy
Great Mesh Setup
I've been using the Sena SRL Mesh for over three years, and it's been fantastic.

My son and daughter both ride with me and have the Mesh system in their helmets as well. The ability for the three of us to communicate while riding has proven absolutely invaluable. It allows me to coach them, warn them about potential road hazards, and ensure they're staying aware of the ever-changing conditions by having them call out what they see.

The connection with our phones works great, and the Mesh system performs flawlessly. When I receive a phone call, people are amazed when I tell them I'm answering from my motorcycle.

As for music, I rarely use it - and when I do, the sound quality isn't exceptional. But that's not what I bought it for. I bought it for communication, and in that regard, it's perfect.

Zero complaints.

TR
Perfect for the helmet. Easy install.
Not loud enough.
Good quality sound but not loud enough for this deaf person.
Sena sr3
Easy to install, exceptional sound quality
Mixed review
The wires and antenna install could be better.
The button controls are like reading brail with gloves on.
The sound when talking and listening is very good.
Works good and seamlessly integrates into Neotec3
Works exactly like it should. Open Mesh is a great addition.
Install in my Neotec 3 was easy.
Only complaints are:
1. Sometimes charging is a bit flaky with any USB-C cable other than the one it came with.
2. The buttons are easy to hit the wrong one with gloves on. Tough to tell them apart.
Excellent sound quality easy to install.
Sena SRL 3
Electronics work as advertised. Good sound and reliable performance.
The buttons are somewhat difficult to find and operate while wearing gloves.
Long Term Review - Its Not Perfect
It's not a perfect system but gets the job done when it works. I purchased my headset and compatible helmet while working overseas in Japan so I got mine for a reasonable price.

Cons: Short battery life, intermittent connection issues, intermittent sound issues from the left speaker, and not motorcycle glove friendly controls. To be honest, I don't even use the controls other than turning off and on the head set.

Pros: Sound quality when it works, ease of setup, water resistance, user friendly update process, and use of USB-C cable for charging.

I'm not totally in love with this headset and the biggest drawback for me is the short battery life. I commuted 2 hours per day and by day 2 1/2, it's time for a charge. Lastly, I've had intermittent connection issues even after the most recent updates; dropped connection, FM radio turner turning on by itself, and loss of audio in the left speaker. All things considered, yes I would buy this product again but I would temper my expectations.

- I ride a 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide
Great Product
This product is a fantastic find! It's reasonably priced, making it accessible for most budgets without compromising on quality. The product is exactly as described, and its usefulness cannot be overstated. I've found it to be incredibly practical and efficient in meeting my needs. The attention to detail is impressive, and the performance is on par with more expensive alternatives. If you're looking for something reliable, well-made, and at a fair price point, this is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
Shoei Neotec II initial thoughts
Helmets are tricky and there are many , needs, and desires to consider. I have about 20,000 miles of all season use on a size small HJC RPHA 90 with a SENA 10C EVO that I am pretty happy with. When I found a Shoei Neotec 2 in my size I liked it enough to purchase it at a reduced price of nearly $300 dollars off list. The purchase was long after the Neotec 3 hit the market. It is a quality Helmet and the fit seems perfect albeit still new and a bit snug. It is not broken in yet. It has a thicker impact absorbing liner than the HJC and the interior comfort padding is denser. It fits voids and really snugs the head fully. The HJC has much more chin area than the Neotec which allows for more space for a boom microphone and feels more open whereas the Neotec seems a bit claustrophobic. It is quieter than the HJC and heavier. I have been in monsoon rains with the HJC and it leaks a bit especially if the front and top vents are open although not around the visor. I have not been in the rain with the Neotec. I like that the HJC has reflective elements built in; The Neotec has none. Another thing to consider is the chinstrap connector. The HJC double D rings allows a rider to use a helmet lock on a bike where as the Neotec has a rachet system so it can't be locked like a traditional D ring helmet. The big disappointment is that the Sena 10C EVO will not fit on the helmet due to the boom mike sleeve diameter and attachment sytem. I knew the Neotec had a propritary comms option (Sena SRL) but hoped that the EVO would fit. Note that the HJC may be louder because I have the Sena mounted on the helmet. I really like the Sena 10C EVO and not being able to use it on the Neotec sucks. I will have to break down and purchase the Sena SRL which kinda sucks and is a step down due to no camera.
Best Sena yet
Best Sena we've owned. Clear sound, the intercom takes some tweaking but once you've dialed it in it works flawlessly.

We haven't used the mesh comm as we've not figured out how to get external noises from interrupting music.

Would buy again for sure.
Awesome motorcycle shop.
Awesome motorcycle store and excellent. I am impressed, if not in inventory they will order and install. This is my first helmet electronic interface, perfect, looking forward to stopping by soon, a few other items caught my eye.

Not worth the money.
Was horrible. I returned it. Battery didn't last very long and you couldn't use an external battery with it. I went back with a 60s
Great sound
Works really well, great sound! Just make sure it's installed correctly, The place I bought mine put it in for me and it kept falling out until I went back and had someone else install it ,
I love that I can tell my phone what music I want to hear without touching phone
