excellent tire!

Despite the negative word of mouth you hear from people about shinko, I took this to a track day and it performed very well. This tire dives into turns with ease and I had no problem with traction loss. I would buy it again definitely! A track junkie would disagree but you have to understand that a casual track rider like myself is out performed by the tires capabilities.

Just installed and very impressed.

I put a set of these on my 1989 FJ1200 and I have to say that they are transformative. I am so happy Shinko makes radials for my bike!!! Steering is light and responsive. The bike feels like it weighs nothing... (it IS heavy!) Just rode in the rain and even with only a few hundred miles on them they stuck like glue. I hope the treadlife is good.

P.S. Even though the fitment guide says the rear won't fit, it absolutely does!

Confidence building grip while on a budget

Put these on my 2009 Vmax to replace a worn set of Metzlers. The tires are super grippy. I can actually put the front wheel up with these vs just spinning on the metzlers. They have a more aggressive curvature which really helps the bike in the twisties. They have done well in the rain and dry. All this at a cost almost half the comparable tires in the size. I will definitely be purchasing again in the future.

Had matching front and rear tire mounted on my 2001 Concours. Very pleased so far.

Verge performing nicely

I'm really surprised how much I like these tires. Of course like anything, there's good and bad reports out there. But this tire is not only good for the price, it's a good tire period.
I'm running this on two different motorcycles. A 2001 Yamaha Vmax, and a 2004 ST1300. It performs fantastic on both.
The Vmax is running the Stealth on the back, and the ST1300 is running the Raven on the back.
I would get the Verge for each of those bikes for the rear tires if it came in the sizes I need. But the Verge does play nicely with both of those other rear tires.
Makes both bikes feel very neutral handling and yet very light. But it still has a planted feel at speed.
I can't review the tire life because I've only had them on both bikes for less than 500 miles. But so far so good.

Time will tell.

I've used Shinko in the past and really liked them. I tried this 011 to see in tread life might be better. Traction and feel are great
