Great tires for the price.
I use the tires on my sv650 for rides through the hills where I live. A few great features about these tires are, One their pretty inexpensive for a sport tire, the tires are (M/C) med compound. Roll from edge to edge are easy and smooth, and is a very controllable ride. It doesnt take a lot of weights to balnce the wheels after mounting. Because their radial tires warm up is about 10 mins. These are not track day tires and I would go to their Stealth, Verge, or Apex for that. Whats no so great, trying to mount these things are tough. They have a very stiff side wall, which in turn makes them a little hash on rough roads. Over all I have about 500 miles on them with no issues over all.
Bargain tire with premium performance.
I ride a Suzuki Bandit 1200 every day. I'm pushing about 130 horsepower, and do about 20,000 miles a year, so I eat a lot of tires. I've tried all of the usual suspects in the premium category and I was using Pirelli Angel GT's last until I tried these. Big advantages to using the Shinko tire.<br /><br />The grip feels very similar to that of the Pirelli, but these have a flatter profile, so steering feels much easier to control. The other advantage is that as the tires get near the end of life, you don't feel dangerous and wooden. As the Pirellis would cup and get near the wear bars, handling would be erratic and diminish confidence.<br /><br />I finally just replaced my first Shinko front tire, which went 12,000 miles before I reached the side wear bars. The center still had tread to spare, and I probably could've squeezed another 500-1000 out of it if I hadn't been going on a trip. Far and away the most miles I've gotten out of any tire to date. The best I could hope for from a front tire previous to this was about 8k. I'm pretty hard on my tires. Will buy these until they stop making them, and considering a complete set costs as much as 1 rear Pirelli, it's really a no brainer.
Nice Stick for a inexpensive price.
So far I've put 400 miles on the tires. The ride is very smooth, when I balanced the tires they didn't take much weight. The Shinko's stick pretty well once you wear off the molding release. I can roll almost edge to edge without losing grip. I was a little worried at first because they were so inexpensive, but soon forgot the cost and I was very impressed by how well they handled.<br /><br />PROS: Inexpensive, Smooth ride, Good road stick<br /><br />CONS: None so far<br /><br />BEST USES: Street, Touring

I ride a BMW R1150RT have used all the major brands of tires and Shinko's beat them all for Ride, handling, and longevity. I typically get 14 to 15 thousand miles on a front and 12,000 on a back. I ride fairly hard and the tires are feathered to the edge of the tread. I ride over 20,000 miles a year and these will be my tire of choice unless something changes on the tire!
Prce is remembered long after quality is forgotten
Ok, BMW rider here - I was about to drop nearly $450 for a set of tires from the BMW dealer when some Honda ST1300 friends recommended these tires. Being a tire snob and having spent more on one Bridgestone tire for my ST1100 than I would for a pair of Shinkos on my Bimmer, I was a bit hesitant... but I thought, "they must know what they are talking about."<br /><br />I mounted a set of Ravens on my 2006 BMW R1200RT before a 2k mile week-long trip to upstate New York. The bike previously had PR2's that may have made it through the trip, but I knew better than to push it. While I had hoped for beautiful weather, what I got was rain every day but one. But, these tires performed flawlessly and left me feeling confident while riding through less-than-stellar conditions.<br />After about 1200 miles of time on the bike, I took a two-lap trip around Watkins Glen raceway, and these tires gripped well in the corners. I was also surprised when they didn't "skip" as much over wet tar-snakes and painted lines as my PR2's did. Other reviews stated that the tread style of the front tire seemed to track imperfections in the pavement, like cracks, but I didn't experience this. Very happy I decided to go "inexpensive" and take the recommendation of friends who purchased Shinkos. $150 plus mounting and balancing (another $60), best pocket change ever spent. Something else noteworthy, the shop who mounted these didn't even have to use weight. My nice alloy wheels are now all naked without being spoiled by ugly weight that the PR2's required. YMMV...<br /><br />I didn't rate the tread life as I've only had them for 2k miles, but friends have said that they have gotten over 10k on their ST's.
You can't beat it for the price!
Now that I'm back from a 4,000 mile trip, I'm ready to review this tire. First impression: Twitchy. By which I mean that when I first pulled out of my driveway after installing it, I felt like my BMW R1200RT was going to fall over on it's side. This tire really "falls" into a turn and it took a couple weeks to get used to it. Now I know what you're thinking... I've put many new tires on my bikes and I've never had one dive into turns like this one. I usually have to put pressure on the outside bar to keep the bike from turning too tightly. Now that I have become accustomed to it, I don't even notice. Grip is very good for my 600 lb bike. I have experienced no slippage on wet or dry pavement, even when riding less than "sedately" (which is a frequent thing). After over 4,000 miles on everything from interstate to twisty roads in the Rockies to even a bit of gravel, the tire looks barely used. My one nit that I have to pick is the center groove which tends to "track" on rain grooves and catches on pavement irregularities. It hasn't upset the bike at all, but it can be disconcerting if you're not prepared for it. I will buy these again. Having said all that, I hope these tires don't get too popular... I'd hate to see the price go up!

I did a 48 state cross country trip on my ZX-9 and these tyres made it from start to finish! Had to replace the front when I got home due to a nail. I put over 26,000 miles on one set of tyres and the rear is still goin strong<br /><br />PROS: Smooth ride, Long tread life, Great traction<br /><br />
Great Tires
These tires are awesome. Good traction all around in my opinion. I had these on my CBR 1000. I Do a lot of hard riding with friends and these tires stood up to the beatings I threw at them. I commute 52 miles one way to work every third day and these tires held up nice. I got 16,xxx plus m iles out of the rear and 21,xxx out of the front. just replaced the Raven's with the Shinko Advanced.... Hope these tires hold up and handle just as good.
Third Rear - 10,210 miles
This is my third rear on 20216 Ninja 650.<br /><br />Grip is good (wet or dry) if you let it to warm up enough because it's slow. I am in San Diego and ride about 50-75 miles daily. <br />I already got 12.6K miles of the front tire and it still looks great. I plan on getting ~20K out of it.<br /><br />It could be not the most cool looking or sexy tire, but it's OK.<br /><br />So, these tires are great if your main goal is your safe commute.<br />However, if you are a BRAND SNOB and think that formerly Yokohama and now SHINKO are not good just because they are cheap, keep overspending but STOP bad-mouthing a good brand.
Rear wanders above 120mph.
I have them on the front and the rear. Once the rear one went on the bike starts wandering at about 120 mph and I feared going over 130 mph, so I didn't. They seem to be harder than normal tires and hopefully will last longer though. Shouldn't be going that fast anyway.
A fantastic sport tourer tire
My XB12XT eats rear tires... 4500 miles was the max from anything. Although it gives up a little grip, most noticeably in the rain, when compared to the Angel ST's... it's providing at least 7500 miles with some left before it'll hit the wear bars. At this price, I swap front and rear for less than the price of a single Pirelli. Highly recommend these. Ride like your brains are in your helmet in the rain and you'll never find fault.
Handles fine on the back of my concours 14. I got 9K out of an 005 so I'm hoping for a bit more from the 009. I keep my tires a little longer than I should, but they're just so expensive anymore.

Fantastic sport touring tire. Been using these on my Ninja 650 for almost 4 years and 36,000 miles. Average 12k from a rear. Got a whopping 34,xxx on the first front. Hot, cold, dry, wet. Doesn't matter. These are my go to tires for that bike.
Good, not great.
Squared off really fast. Not good for commuting.<br />Also, they don't grip well in the wet. I crashed because of it. And no, I wasn't dragging knee in the rain, just turning in an intersection.
Great street tire, no complaints
I'm not an aggressive rider so I can't really give a lot of feedback on grip but I've never had it break loose even in wet conditions. I put 11,000 miles on my rear tire, it probably could go another 1K at least but I prefer not to get down too low on tread so I'm replacing them now.<br />Used primarily for commuting on a Honda CTX700

Ok, these Shinko 009's are one heck of a tire. After 6000 miles (2 oil changes) I still have a very decent amount of tread left. These tires come with A TON of tread until the wear bars, so expect to have them for a while. They give great grip but make sure to scuff them up when you get them, they come smooth as silk from the box. Dry grip is great, but warm up time is fairly long for this tire, hitting some serious twisties I will slowly get more comfortable with the tires because when they are cold they just don't perform as well. Wet traction is average, not deadly by any means but don't go searching for twisties in the pouring rain. I have taken them to the track and I was very impressed with their performance, these tires will get hot and really stick at the track. I run them as a pair and with Texas heat, humidity, and cold snaps I still do not have any sign of cupping. Great tires and do not be afraid of them for any reason, they perform just as well as any of the more expensive name brand sport touring tires. Photos below show the tires as they currently stand with ~6000 miles and 2 track days on them. The middle has worn a lot slower then the sides, so aggressive riding does take extra rubber (weird right? haha). But by the photos I imagine I have at least another oil change in the rear which means these are almost a 10k mile tire. The front almost looks new and I know that I will be buying another set soon, but don't take my word for it. It's $200 for a set of them, go try them yourself. You will be thoroughly impressed.
GREAT VALUE IN A HIGH MILEAGE TIRE
I have just returned from Sturgis and put over 3,000 miles on the pair and there is only light visable wear on the tread. I ride a Bandit 1250 which has eaten up Michelins and Dunlops within 4,500 to 5,000 miles. I expect to easily get 8,000 to 10,000 out of these. Also due to the front tread pattern I do not see any possibility of cupping that was common with softer Michelins. Remember that they do not grip as well as more expensive tires until they warm up a bit, then they are fine. These are a bargain tire. Don't be afraid to try them!<br /><br />PROS: Smooth running, Long Lasting<br /><br />CONS: Need to warm up a bit<br /><br />BEST USES: Commuting, Sport Touring

Shinko is sort of an unknown manufacturer, unfamiliar to most riders due to their short history. Scoop is that they got into the business when Yokohama sold off their motorcycle tire line around Y2K. Shinko bought the big Y's formulas and treads and moved production to S. Korea, leading to their very competitive price vs. performance ratio. Basically, I consider Shinko to be a 2nd tier manufacturer, behind the latest & greatest from biggies like Dunlop, Pirelli/Metzler, Michelin, Avon & Conti, but leagues ahead of the 3rd tier offshore brands like ChengShin [aka "cheap sh!ts"], Kenda, Maxxis et al. Basically, the equivalent of one of the top tier manufacturers' older designs from 5 or more years ago, when Yokohama's latest formulas were the equal of any of the rest of the biggies...<br /><br />The 009s have a dated tread pattern, but it works fine for my daily riding here in sunny So. Cal. and has a nice solid band down the middle for maximum tread life. No experience w/ riding on wet roads w/ these, but they're more confidence inspiring in damp conditions than the MEZ4s that came as OEM fitment on my '99 SV650, and have exhibited superior wear properties for their low price: I'm currently running at about 5k out of the one that's on there, & I have been very negligent of maintaining correct pressure [my rear tire valve has recently been replaced. I expect a greater lifespan on the 009 replacement I just bought.] [PLEASE NOTE: I can only speak for rear tire fitment, as I won't use a front tire w/ a circumferential groove due to the tracking of the rain grooves in So. Cal. freeways inherent to that tread design for front tires.]<br /><br />PROS: Great Price Point, Reasonable life, good performer<br /><br />CONS: Dated tread pattern<br /><br />
Not confidence inspiring.
These tires are fine, until you try some trail braking. There sidewall construction, or ..., changes the handling characteristics when doing trail braking. I did not feel confident with these tires.

Recently bought a shrink tire, and have had absolutely zero problems I ride almost every single<br />Night. Heavy riding with high speeds and high stress and this is definitely a tire that is able to take the punch without punching your wallet in the process. Great value for the money and overall an incredible grippy and comfy tire!
Great tires for the money
I put a set of these tires on my bmw 2014 r1200rt just before a 4000 mile trip to Montana. I'm very satisfied all around, I did a lot of mountain driving in and out of rain showers didn't have any problem. I'm not an aggressive rider but they seemed fine when I do get frisky with it. Can't tell about the life of the tires yet but they are wearing well so far.

These have never failed to stick once scuffed in. They do have a lot of mold release so be careful for the first few hundred miles, I am not exagerating. Also very good for street tire in gravel. Rear 8K miles, front about 11 to 12K<br /><br />PROS: Good Cornering, Durable, Good Ride<br /><br />
My Bad
I recently noticed that my rear was starting to look a bit worn, then I remembered that I've had the tire for well over 3,000 miles and I have a habit of doing burnouts and taking my street bike on dirt trails. Overall, this tire is the absolute best you can get for the price. Unless you're a brand snob or a serious racer, there's no need for any more money to be spent on tires.<br /><br />PROS: Durable, Good Ride, Versatile<br /><br />

I run these on my fjr1300 and they last just as long as the more expensive tires from other companies. I've run several pairs of these and would recommend them
Fresh comparison to Michelin Road Pilot 5 GT
Sliced a brand new $280 Road Pilot 5 GT rear tire at 1,100 miles without road hazard coverage. Ordered a $108 Shinko Raven (with road hazard coverage!) Felt slightly rougher for first 200 miles, then it smoothed out. It seems sensitive to tire pressure and seems to follow road ruts a little more than the Michelin, but not in a big way. It feels very similar, yet for less than 1/2 the price! These are good tires.
SUPER Commuter HIGH Millage Tire
I've already got 11K+ on them and still planning on doing another 3-5K if lucky. <br />Great grip dry or wet with one exception: on road marking (but this is expected)!<br /><br />This is my third set on Ninja 650R.<br />Once a rear got destroyed by a huge puncture at 7K, otherwise you can plan on squeezing 12K+ easy from both if you don't accelerate or brake like on a track.

Just put a set on my r1200rt. With only 200 miles on them I can't reflect on longevity or wet grip. However, they mounted easily and required no weights to balance, they roll through corners smoothly and track perfectly, and they are quiet. They are the best tire I've ridden and they are affordable. I highly recommend them.
Very Good Sport Touring Tire
I use these tires on a ZZR1200, a bike with 145 RWHP and 91 lbs of torque. We rode two-up and often at max GVWR. This is the best tire I have found for this combination of riding. If you have less weight or less HP it will be even better. It is a "W" rated carcass for up to 168 mph continuous. It also rides really well. A great combination and features and performance. Installed on my 09 busa to replace the factory tires. I am satisfied with my investment. Holds up really well in the rain and corners well. Might be a little scary the way these tires invoke confidence in the corners but no worries, they will hold. Had a track day not the best tire for it but they didn't disappoint me either. Great tires for the money. It is low in price and performs excellent. I commute a lot with some sprints here and there (even twisties), and these tires hold up really well.<br><br>They are durable and lasts long as well. I have already gone through two sets (front and rear Raven 009 tires: about 7k miles each set) - that is good because I ride a motorcycle that has a lot of torque and is known to eat up tires really quick.<br><br>Now,all of my riding buddies are using Shinko Raven 009's as well. <br><br>Only downfall is that it takes a LONG time to warm up because of the harder compound. Good for people like me who commute on highways 90% of the time, but BAD for people who want to take it out and hit the twisites or tracks right away.

I moved from Michelin Pilot Roads to these tires based on economics and good reviews. I can't speak about longevity - I've had them on for 1500 km. <br /><br />They seem good but the front centre-line void causes the tire to grab the gratings when driving on steel grated bridges. Very very worrisome. In fact I'll drive extra miles to avoid it.
Good for the rear only
I have had three of these tires on my z1000. I put the first one on the rear shortly after I replaced the front tire with a different brand and it did great, lasted quiet a while, handled good in dry and wet conditions and everything. So when it came time to replace both tires several thousand miles later I wanted a matching set so I got both front and rear tires. That was a big mistake! The front is such a hard compound it does not grip in corners even when its warm on perfect asphalt. It scared me several times having my bike slip out in corners or turning at intersections. I waited till the rear tire wore out and replaced both of them with a different shinko even tho the front still had plenty of tread left. Basically in my opinion its a great tire if you ONLY use the rear as the front is way to hard for sport riding like I do
Shinko Raven front
I use Ravens on both front and read these are the best Tires Shinko makes and is one of best on the market. Get a pair of the Raven series... Good for road and track.
So this is the fourth one of these that I've mounted on my CBR 1000F with 35,000 plus ! Great mileage, and I cannot out ride them!!! They also work great in the rain!
Great value tire rain or shine!
I'm a year round commuter on a 2013 NC700X. These tires are by far the best value. Wet and dry grip are excellent for everyday riding and they handle confidently on my occasional spirited rides.<br /><br />Regardless of the tires I use on my NC I get 7-8k out of the rear tire until I'm at the wear bars so naturally it makes sense to replace the with the Ravens. I've ran Michelin Pilot Road 5/6 and could not discern any difference in everyday performance with similar tread life.
I have purchased 4 sets of shinko tires now . I ride all year round, in all conditions. I am very pleased with the consistent quality that I have experienced.

Hit or miss? these were a huge miss
I bought these to save a buck. Very hard compound, very wobbly. Mounted and balanced 3 different times. Hard to get balanced. Extreme wobble/ tank slap over 45mph. Had them on for less than a week and 25 miles before I took them off and bought my favorite other brand tire. Mind blowing difference between the 2 brands. Instead of saving a buck I just flush a couple hundred down the drain, lesson learned!

Great tire for NC700X
I got a set for my NC700X Honda. I will say they are better than the Continental ContiMotions I had on it. I always had issue with the front tire leaking around the bead but not with the Shinkos. Overall I'm happy. I really don't push my bike too hard. I think these will be fine. I got a little over 9000 miles out of my Conti Motions I hope these do as well without the leaking issues. Right now they do all I ask of them an I am very happy with my purchase.
good front tire
I now have 2000 miles on this tire on the front of my ctx 700 and I am loving it .In the beginningI was worried about the tire at this low price point. Now that concern is now gone. <br />at first i really did not like the tire especially on on grooved pavement , but changing the tire pressure up from 35 to 40 psi changed the all around handling of this for the better.<br />With only 2000 miles so far on this tire I really can not grade tread life yet. <br />I would recommend this tire for anyone looking for a great tire at a great price point .
grip is great
only have a few miles on the Shinko but the feel is firm steering became tighter. tracks well. less feel for the road than the diablo had. but i like it so far.

A majority of negative the reviews on shinko tires i saw on the internet were from people who had not tried them or just couldn't believe you could get such a quality tire at a low price.<br /><br />I ride about 3 times a week, and have put about 500 miles on these tires. My first impression of these tires were that they felt really weird and awkward when turning in, however you get used to this in about ~30 miles. (I switched from Dunlop q2).<br /><br />I ride these every weekend 45 miles to the twisties, hit them pretty hard (by no means a knee dragger, but i have about 1/10th inch of a chicken strip on the side), then drive 45 miles home. So i put about 150 miles on them in one day occasionally.<br /><br />I have never had them slip on nice pavement, i had the rear slip very slightly on a road with scattered gravel and tar snakes everywhere, while i was leaned over pretty hard. However the slip was so minor, that the tires caught right back up and i was on my way. I would highly advise purchasing these tires for the average rider who commutes but also enjoys hitting the twisties.
Good tire for the money!
Bought a pair of Shinko Ravens for my 07 BMW K1200s for less than the cost of just the rear I put on last year. I have to admit the first ride I thought I made a big mistake, the front tire has a lot quicker turn in then I was use to. The bike "falls" into the corners now but after a few miles I got use to the feel and I was able to confidently get rid of the chicken strips. I only have about five hundred miles on them, most of that two up but they seem to be wearing very good. The BMW is a fairly heavy bike and I ride two up 70% of the time so I only get about 6k out of a rear and 12k out of the front using dual compound tires. If I can get the same mileage out of the Shinko's I will have cut my tire costs in about half!
Great Tires, Great Price
Needed some tires for cheap due to bad economy. Picked up these shinko 009s. I read the reviews some good some bad but mostly good. In my opinion, they're great!. I broke them in and I'm now at about 174 mi. At first, they are a bit hesistant on the corners and you can feel it. A bit weird but after the break in period, feels normal. I can get pretty low in the corners but not too low just yet (knee drag). I've been doing commuting most of the time, a few curves on the weekends. The wear on these things are amazing, still looks brand new. Warms up quick.<br />I'm riding a 06 cbr600rr. They feel great and comfy. Haven't gone through rain yet though.

Good tire for first street bike.
These were on my 07 Ninja 650R when I bought it. Being my first street bike they feel really good. Very comfortable ride, almost like flying. I mainly ride to and from work and have some fun on the back roads on the weekends. Sometimes it feels a little too smooth from the rear, but that's what the 650R is like from what I hear. These tires do not like to break away but when they do it may be harsh because of the rigid sidewall. Overall I love them and would consider another set when the time comes.<br /><br />PROS: Confidence Inspiring, Long life, Grippy, Smooth ride<br /><br />CONS: Maybe Too Quiet<br /><br />BEST USES: Mild Twisties, New Riders, Street touring, Small budget

I have these on my Kawi 650r which I use as my every day driver. So far these tires have been great to me. They are very smooth for all the basic city and highway riding I do and have gotten me through a few emergency high speed corners as well. SHINKO 009 Raven Street Motorcycle Tires
i like shinko, i have been using the drag tire on the back because it also makes for a good stunting tire! since my bike takes the 190, it makes the slow wheelies more stable because it has a wide contact patch! i read what some other folks were saying about the raven, i put one on the front and its works great it grips real well, and for stoppies it doesn't slide much! i have used sport touring tires in the past for the mileage, but the reviews on the raven say you get pretty good mileage. and you can't beat the prices for shinkos!
milage and performance
I had almost 6000 miles on this tire before it started showing! I ran them at high speeds everyday going to and from work and no problems. For the money, a great tire. I have a 2nd set on now!
Yes Shinkos Ravens works just fine on Ducati Multistradas 1200S.
I've got a 2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200S, and most ppl like top poo poo om Shinko's, but I've had them on multiple liter+ bikes. And now my Ducati, for the money they are awesome, I ride the piss out of my bike. And I only count to get 4-5k miles out of the rear tires. Grip is wonderful, I ride hard, corner hard. Maybe not a race course tire, but on the road these are awesome on my Ducati, ordering another set from Zilla.

I have a Concours 14 and have used Michelin Road Gear and Dunlop Road Smart and had good success with them. With the cost of tires so high now, I decided to give these a try on my front tire. I have only put about 400 miles on them so far and cannot determine life at this point. The steering of these tires is definitely heavier than the other brands. I have increased the pressure and have seen a marginal reduction in effort required, but they are still significantly more than the others. I will have to get more miles on these to get a more conclusive answer as to whether I will purchase them again.
SHINKO 09 Ravens F & R
It's really pretty silly to ask for a tire review a few weeks after the tires are sent. I just recently got the tires mounted and on the bike - 2010 BMW K1300GT - and I only have put less than 500 miles on them. So I don't have much real world info to pass on. So far, I like them quite a bit. The profile is a little more "rounded" than the tires I've been using, so they make the bike seem a little more nimble and quick steering. I ride 20K-35K miles a season so for me, WEAR and LONGEVITY are the largest factors. It's winter where I ride so there's been no spirited riding on them yet due to grit on the roads and the tires being cold. So get back to me in 6-8 months and I'll actually have some substantive info to report.

Solid tire
4 stars only because the 200/50 profile leaves a lot to be desired. Tires grip well, but the 200/50 size has a sort of "fall over" feeling when you get to a certain point. I will be switching to a 200/55 verge after these.<br /><br />Outside of that, I have zero complaints. Tires balanced perfectly. Grippy, no slips or weird vibrations. Overall awesome budget tire.

Great tire, grips the road well haven't put many miles on yet or riding in the rain, but can only assume it will be just fine. It's high speed rated, took very little weight to balance. Highly recommended.
Great tire for the price
Everyone always talks bad about Shinko's but honestly for the price point you can't beat it. They're not meant for extreme riders, but I can do 90+ in the corners with no slipping. They're good rain or shine. If you're looking for a quality tire without the name brand price go with some Shinko tires.

Lightweight adventure tire
Good price but only getting around 6000 miles.
long wearing, good grip. I have run many sets and have no complaints. I also change my own tires and the raven mounts easily. It does not need high pressure to seat the bead.
Great option
Kind of an impulse purchase for me. Was going to go with a set of much more expensive tires, but after reading the reviews I thought I'd take a chance. These are so inexpensive! I really didn't expect much. Had to be careful scrubbing them in, but after that they have been awesome! I have just under 2000 miles on them, no idea how long they will last but based on wear so far, a long time!
Its cheap enough to call it a good tire.
As far as a cheap tire goes, its great. Really felt slicker than snail snot for the first 100 miles, but now thats its worked off the new rubber feeling, its as good as the continental tire that it replaced.

So far I'm really impressed.<br />My bike had 15 year old tires on it when I bought it.<br />The tread looked ok but they were old.<br />I have a 65 mile commute.<br />These changed the bike.<br />It falls into curves and that saying a lot on a 900lb bike.

The Shinko tires had a great price range, but that's where they say you get what you pay for. These tires wore unevenly causing considerae wobble in the front. I would not purchase these again.

i have about 500 miles on the tires after purchasing a set. I cannot speak on the longevity of the tires but other reviews have shown 10k+ miles on these tires. Overall i?m happy with the purchase and i haven?t had any slips or loss or traction even at 150mph on highway roads . Definitely recommend for the average rider

Great tire, has lasted me as long as some higher-priced rubber. Does great with tar snakes. These are not meant for aggressive riding or track days. Great everyday tires.
I only have a couple hundred miles on these so far but I am impressed. They grip well and have less road vibration than my OEM Dunlop's. One thing I will say though is that the front tire tends to wander a lot when going across open-grate bridges. Could be unnerving if you aren't expecting it, but nothing terrible if you are. I have a feeling this is due to the center groove, but I have had other tires do the same thing.
Very good tire at a comparably inexpensive price.
Haven't put too many miles on them yet, but I already like them better than the stock tires that came on my Versys 650. Definitely have more grip and feel more planted and stable when leaned over. I rode through a little bit of light rain, enough to get the road wet, and they felt fine, no concerns at all. The price was good, cheaper than comparable Michelins or Pirellis. Will have to see how long these last, but since I'm not too hard on tires (got about 10k out of the stock Dunlops that came with my Versys) I expect these to last at least that long, which makes them a good value!

good tire, I get better than 5000 miles on the rear. They hold the road as well as more expensive tires. Unfortunately I live in the flatlands and only get to the mountains once a year. I've found these to be fine street tires for sport riding.
Installed on a Ninja 650. Pretty pleased with this tire. Got 12k miles out of OEM tires that came on the bike when it was new. Put these on front and rear. I have 5k on them now. No complaints. Front looks new. Rear is half worn . Mostly commuter highway miles. Hot, cold, dry, wet these things work really well. I'm not a really aggressive rider but do roll my throttle back a bit. For my style and needs these are as close to perfect as I could expect. Easy to mount and balance. Shinkos are my go to tires for all of the bikes I have and had.

I've gotten better mileage from these tires than any other brand ,and I have tried them all. Should get 12K mi. on the rear and 14K on the front before they are down to the wear bars. Great tires !

I was looking for an affordable tire with great tread life and this is it. I already had the front tire and wanted them to match. Very pleased with this tire. Hooks up with my 636 just fine, good grip in corners, and amazing tread life.
spooned them on myself. Balanced with an ounce of weight. Only couple hundred miles on yet. Will see how they feel and how they last.

So far so good. They handle well and look good. Not sure how you can beat them for the money.
Great budget tire
I put the Raven on my 09 R1 rear wheel and its a fantastic budget street tire. I wouldnt recommend it for the track but its perfect for the street. I doubt Ill ever put a different rear tire on my R1 again. I cant comment on the front tire because Ive never tried it. When the current front tire wears out, Ill probably give it a try.

I'm about to order my fourth rear tire
I would probably buy these even if they weren't so inexpensive. I ride an older BMW R1150RT and these tires handle great and are very durable. l get 12k+ miles on the front and usually just over 8k on the rear. I could probably get more than 8k on the rear but I'm a senior rider who isn't over aggressive in the twisties. As a result, they tend to square off and I don't like that feel. If it were just tread wear I could probably do 10k miles on them.

Decent tires for amazing price
So far so good I have a more track grip tire on back tire but got this on sale. I had a really bald tire put this on and definitely feel safe in turns. So far has held up, I am a daily rider for commute etc so I will run my treads regardless, I think I will definitely buy another for front if it holds up, but again preferably I go more expensive on back. Just preference.

Surprising life and road grip
This is a great tire for back road racers that want something for that bike that isn't your main bike. <br />Grips pretty decently in heavy leans. It doesn't slide too much in gravel,sandy spots that I could tell. It is a hard tire but way better than a cheap dunlop.it does pretty decent in rain as well. It gets the job done and last quite awhile with proper air. This tire doesn't like the cold and takes awhile to warm up. Overall, good tire for a secondary bike.

Utilitarian and budget-friendly
Not an aggressive rider - mostly commute with some long-distance leisure travel. Have used these tires before and haven't been disappointed with performance, tread wear or price.
Great grip and easy install
Original owner Buell 1125. Plenty of tread left on original tires but they were 11 years old and displaying checking. The new tire was easy to install and the bike now corners like it is new. Great value.
I was kinda skeptical because of the price, but this is not a deal with a "too good to be true attitude". I rode with this for the first time and wow, I'm able to take corners and turns as if I'm on a completely different bike. I believe these are good for the daily bike rider.

The jury is still out
I just put one of these on my 98 Superhawk. The first thing that comes to mind is the tire profile. For a front tire, the feel of the "turn in" feels very strange. Very slow and not confidence inspiring at all. But, to be fair I don't have many miles on it at all. I guess only time will tell.
Affordable and sticky
I've used these tires on my 03 zx6r and 09 ninja 650 they are very sticky and hold corners fairly well. A little on the round side I got about 9000 on the front and about 7500 for the rear. Wet traction isn't to bad.
Great bang for the buck all-arounder
I put about 1k miles on these tires before I sold the bike they were on. Once scrubbed in they were great. Previously I had sticky tires such as q3's which would slide all over the road when the roads got wet, these were the exact opposite. Very nice and confidence inspiring in the wet. They also gripped surprisingly well in the dry. Were nice and progressive coming up on the traction limit and allowed one to push a decent/fun pace without worry. However if you are looking for a tire for canyon carving/dragging knee this obviously isn't it. It is, however a great all around tire that is affordable for a commuter/tourer who is putting a decent amount of miles on tires in varying conditions and may not need to spend twice as much for the just slightly better tire with the latest and greatest technologies.

ive had a couple of tires, some more prestigious as well. I threw these puppies on my bike (after i saved a ton of bucks) and with everyday riding i cant even notice the difference. no regrets

I recently purchased my bike, and the previous owner had just put on the tires. The front is the Shinko 009 Raven, I have put on about 1500 and the tire still performs great! I commute on it everyday, even when I have been caught in the rain this tire doesn't quit on me. I highly recommend this tire, I know I'll be buying this one again when it comes time to change it.

Great tire for the price
CBR600F3, coming off bridgestones and money was a little tight so I decided to take a risk and get a cheap shinko as they were reviewed pretty well. Im in the NY metro area, our roads are destroyed, and I ride virtually every day for 7-8 months a year, both commuting and for pleasure. Really happy with this tire, I just changed the front, my rear is still a bridgestone with about 85% tread life left, but the versatility of the front was impressive for the price. Straightaway riding on the expressways is rock solid, hard twisties on backroads is solid in a hard lean, riding on wet roads was confident. Id buy these again, especially if you ride on roads that are covered in pothole misery and need something good and durable.

Great tire the price just makes it better. Havent really tested the tire with knee dragging yet. Under normal riding conditions it gets the job done.

I've only had the tires on for about a week and 200 miles or so but so far it's a keeper.. Great bang for the buck and the tires are not made in China.. Big plus for me<br /><br />They ride well and handle really nice. I would say they are a great tire for all around use..

I have put a little over thousand miles on these tires. Like other reviews there is problem with the line in the middle of the tire. It doesn't affect the riding experience in my opinion. The tread life is amazing and for the that price, you pretty much get what you paid for. Excellent for a commuter not so much for everyday twisties. Street Ready
As a retired, successful, Pro racer, I feel qualified to evaluate sport tires. These are more than good enough for aggressive street riding in the cold, wet, or ideal conditions. Time will tell how they wear to the abuse. At about half price of the name brand sport rubbers, Im sure youll get at least, over half the mileage, or more. Bargain!
Best bang for your buck
I've only ridden with the tire for about 100 miles or so, but it has proven itself tremendously. After a few miles into breaking it in, you can really feel a difference in grip while warm. Although I haven't rode very hard with them yet I have no doubt they will last.

I'VE WORN OUT 5 SETS OF 705 TRAILMASTERS WITH MY '09 KLR 650 AND LOVE THEM. THE OO9 RAVENS I JUST PUT ON MY VERSYS 650 WORK VERY WELL FOR GRIP AND HANDLING AND TIME WILL TELL HOW LONG THEY LAST.

I moved from Michelin Pilot Roads to these tires based on economics and good reviews. I can't speak about longevity - I've had them on for 1500 km. <br><br>They seem good but the front centre-line void causes the tire to grab the gratings when driving on steel grated bridges. Very very worrisome. In fact I'll drive extra miles to avoid it.

I was a little skeptical going to Shinko's since i've been running Michelin's forever but I have been converted. Awesome tire for commuting and getting out in the hills once in a while. Not quite as sticky as the michelin's but still a confident feel in the twisty stuff. I got about 10k miles out of my first set. Just put my second set on. I use Ravens on both front and read these are the best Tires Shinko makes and is one of best on the market. Get a pair of the Raven series... Good for road and track.
