A real butt-saver!

I just completed a ride, from DC to Minneapolis and back. While I didn't quite keep up an Ironbutt pace, I was very close. This pad completely paid itself off on the first half of the trip. Without it, I don't think I would have been able to keep up the pace, I would have been stopping more often and for longer from the discomfort.

I had previously purchased an AirHawk pad, but ended up losing it before I could really use it much. The problem was the way the AirHawk pad connected to the seat was not very secure. The Wild Ass mounting system mounts much more securely to the bike. I have no worries about it disappearing. And it has a cooler name.

Only game in town if you want neoprene

I've paid big bucks for aftermarket seats in the past and never had one that's as comfortable as an air pad. I've used Airhawk pads in the past, both neoprene (their original material) and the newer polyurethane. The polyurethane works maybe 70% as well as neoprene. Neoprene is stretchy, so it provides more surface to cradle your butt. Airhawk was sold a few years ago and the new owners abandoned neoprene altogether (WTF?), so I bought this Wild Ass one. It's good, although the shape of the sport pad could be better - needs to be a bit wider at the front. Anyway...you'll be able to ride further in a day with this.

problem solver

I am still getting used to this, but it is a quality item for sure. I have a wicked pressure point going on with my 2020 Multistrada seat after about 2 hours. Tried a Corbin seat and it was like a 2x12 (yeah i know, break it in. NO). I tried different gear. I won't disgrace my Ducati with a sheep skin lol. So, on with the Wild Ass. the good part is that all I need is the smallest amount of air in this thing to regain some comfort. It suggests the "correct" spot to be about 1/2" of air when you're sitting on it, but that's too much for me. I almost make it completely flat, but it relieves the pressure point that plagues me and doesn't raise me up and ruin the amazing riding position of the Multistrada. Also, I don't use it all the time. Only after my wild ass starts to get sore, do I toss on the Wild Ass. Money well spent.

Expensive but very effective

The value based on materials would be 1 out of 5, however based on effectiveness of the pad it would be 5 out of 5.
Rode from Atlanta to Vermont over 2 days on my Kawasaki Versys 1000 and it felt like bum had been beaten with a stick and I was walking like John Wayne with a bad case of diarrhea.
Purchased the Seat Pad and rode the 1100 miles back in a day (a long day) and whilst there was some discomfort by the end, I was walking normally.
