But not as dark as expected
Bought these on a whim hoping they'd work out. Turns out the glasses themselves are nice enough. Flexy over the ears which makes fitting into helmets nice without putting pressure on your temples. Good build quality for the price.<br /><br />The tint is hardly noticeable though even in direct sunlight, so they're basically clear glasses. They do darken a bit if you look close enough. If you check Bobster's website - they post the tint % of each type of lens, which wasn't overly evident here.<br /><br />I kept them anyway, as I cycle commute and needed a pair of evening bug shields and these will work out for that for the price point I paid for them. If they were much more expensive, I probably would have returned them and picked up darker lenses.
Impairs my peripheral vision
Immediately I noticed impairment of my peripheral vision when looking over my shoulder. I don't know how many degrees of vision I lost but noticeable enough to not ride with these. I will be returning these. <br /><br />Aside from that, I really like them. They fit good and have style, so if that's what you're looking for I would recommend these.
Awesome Product
Ordered these because I often ride my bike and get back home in the evening and only had dark shades and needed a better option. They have become almost an everyday wear because of the transition lenses.
What I need them to do
So I saw reviews where they say they don't get that dark, which I will say is true. However I ride to work and am facing the sun and when I ride home I am facing the sun, and I truthfully have no issues with these at all. Could they make them a little bit darker yes but with what is on there right now it does not irritate me to ride home and and to work with the sun in my face.<br />Overall awesome glasses and I would buy again

Not dark enough
They work ok for morning commute in. The changing range of shade is nice and reason I purchased them. Unfortunately they are not dark enough for afternoon sun/commute home. I like the look and they fit nicely inside my XD-4
Cool and Big Bang for the Buck
The glasses work well, the transition from light to dark was spot on. Other reviews talked about them not being dark enough, but I wouldn't want them any darker. I like these for city driving but would go with the goggles for extended free way riddin. Straight up though, the glasses are bad axe.
Good quality not very dark
Nice glasses, good quality for the price but they do not get very dark. I keep them in my saddle bag for evenings and night time ridding when I have on my half helmet. If you do not require your glasses to tint dark these will be perfect but, if you are expecting dark you will be disappointed.
Well worth the money!
The auto tint is amazing! I love how I dont need a tinted visor and a clear visor. No more guessing when you leave house if I need a tint or clear. <br />There is always a slight tint to the lenses and they get fairly dark in full sun. <br />Some reviews mentioned they dont get dark enough but I never found myself squinting when I ride in full sun. <br /> The clarity of the lenses is excellent with zero distortion. <br />I havent experienced any temple pressure or eye fatigue even after a full day of riding, even with a full face helmet. <br />I havent had the bobsters long enough to test the durability but so far these are well worth the money. when I inevitably drop these lense down on the tar I will not hesitate to get another pair.
Sun glasses
I started wearing contact I got tired of going from clear glasses to sun glasses they are comfortable they get dark and have very little sun glare I recommend getting a set
Great pair of shades but not in the lens department.
I bought these over a year ago and have used them very little ever since. They simply don't get dark enough to even tell a difference. <br /><br />They are great for wind / bug protection with open face or open visor situations but other than that they are not performance eyewear. <br /><br />Found myself going back to my $200 Rayban Polarized because when it comes to your eyes there simply is no comparison. <br /><br />Still a good pair of purpose built sunglasses - they should just be in the $25 range where they belong.
Hooligan Shit
These are great looking glasses. Photochromatic lenses, and no foam drew me to these, and I must say the no foam design works great. Very little wind turbulence. Lenses will scratch easily (like all glasses), frames are flexible and durable though.
Kinda tight
I wanted to like these glasses, however they fit my average size head tightly. Like, headache in 5 minutes tight. They look nice, but feel cheaply made. Definitely more like a $15 pair of glasses in my opinion.

Not happy with these, worn a handful of times and they have only change to a darker tint once, The rubber around it is starting to peel off and they fog up really easy.

Nice pair
These are great transitional glasses for the money. The only thing I wish, would be for them to be a little darker. Riding into direct sunlight, I still find myself squinting. Comfirt, style and fit are top notch.

Yes I would recommend these glasses to my buddies, they still let in a little more wind than I prefer but overall they're great especially riding from day into night...
Transitioning Glasses
Great transition glasses for riding and not having to worried about carrying two pairs. Fitment was a bid different. On the nose portion of the glasses, it was not flexible at all and at times it needed to be pushed higher in where they sat on the face to find comfort. It was design not to accommodate the different type of nose bridge. Another concern was the part where the transitioning lense was not dark enough during day light. On days where it was cloudy, lense did not get darker. Stood some what clear. Beside that these are convinient to have specially when riding for long periods during sundown or sun rise times.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Great fit and very comfortable. The lenses darken perfectly. These arent sunglasses so dont expect them to be super dark. Will definitely buy again after I wear out the pair I just bought.

Keeping the glare out
They keep the glare out of my eyes which is why I bought them. I will have to keep searching for a fullface helmet solution to shields and glasses fogging up.

Nice Glasses
I had read all the reviews on these glasses. Yes, they don't get very dark but I didn't find it to be an issue. In fact they kind of remind me of the "driver sunglasses" from long ago. Although they do not turn yellow, but the view and clarity is similar. I road from day into the night and the transition was great! I love the fact that I don't have to carry two sets of glasses. I truly recommend these sunglasses.

this item was a substitute for another item it does darker a little from clear to dark okay for nite riding with clear lens not effective as sun block in daylite
