I researched these shocks and from the reviews, I bought them because of the reviews and spine surgery. Many people recommended them. They were right.
Very easy to install (T-50 star bit). It raise the tail of my bike about 2 inches.
Whew! You want to talk about a difference. I went from stock to Burley. It's like riding a Cadillac. Smooth ride.
If you want a smoother ride and not bottoming out. Buy 'em. You'll be happy you did.
I've had them on my bike a years now and no complaints.

No — this tail section is for 1986-2003 Sportster models only. Newer Sportsters require different fitment.
What installation work is required?
You'll need to remove the OEM fender struts and relocate the factory lighting to the new tail section. Basic hand tools and mechanical skill recommended.

The gel-molded seating area is integrated into the tail section and provides a riding surface, though some riders add an aftermarket cafe seat on top.

Awesome for tall sporty riders!
I love these shocks. My 1200 sportster had 11" progressive rear shocks on it when I bought it. I am 6'4" tall 270 lbs, I used to bottom out & it looked real small on me. My rear fender barely cleared the rear tire. Now it seems miles above it. I gained 4" clearance in the rear. Then pushed the front shocks 1/4" down the front tree. gaining me 1" extra clearance in the front (they protruded 3/4 above the top tree), I also have 6" bar risers. It looks like a completely different bike. just from rear shocks & turning a wrench, I never bottom out anymore & have decided I do not need a Road King. I love my big tall 1200 Sporty!
Great bang for the buck!
These are a great bang for your buck. Way better than the stock shocks. Easy to adjust and added 2 inches to the ride height. Look really good and get a lot of compliments on them. Supper easy install.
All around great shock
Very easy to install, did one at a time on my bike. They were almost the same size as the ones I had previously had on mine so it only took me like 15 mins to install. Perfect fit and bike looks a lot better now.
An Extra Inch is All She Needed
That extra inch of height makes cornering so much smoother, and the dual spring setup is extremely comfortable for my old lady. Not to mention it makes the bike sexier!
Great comfort!
I agree with all other reviews - these are really worth the money. Much comfier ride, no more shotgun shells into your spine on potholes.

They raised the back of the bike by a couple of inches but worked alright with the stock side stand.
