Beautiful sound, but LOUD!

I read a lot of reviews between this and the V&H Slip-ons and everyone said these were the "quieter" of the two but dear god these are loud. Ear plugs are required as can still hear a ringing after a long ride. So I installed the quiet baffle and I didn't notice a drop in dB. but the sound is deeper and in my opinion, sexier. I did get some popping sound so I paired it with the V&H FP3 and its gone now.<br /><br />Note: 2017-18 Sportsters require a gasket on the headpipe to create a seal which you can get from the dealership or aftermarket.<br /><br />The part number for the quiet baffle for this slip-on is: 9026.

2015 HD Forty Eight,<br />Really gives me the rumble I was looking for, without blast out my neighbors.<br /><br />Super easy to instill, even for a novice like my self. Took maybe 45 minutes.

Mufflers are of excellent quality. Chrome is beautiful and the tips are easily turned to the desired orientation. Fit is superb and the sound absolutely beautiful. Deep tone with a reasonable sound level at idle. They are however quite loud when on the throttle.

They sound great just enough rumble that i can hear my music. My son doesn?t mind riding next to me now. I was way too loud before.

2015 Sportster 1200 Superlow

Love these mufflers. It gave me the deep rumble that I was looking for and is much louder. Even with my helmet on, you can definitely tell the difference. Install was pretty easy but instructions were limited and the font was very small. Luckily, I just found a YouTube video of a guy changing the same ones out on his Sportster and made j stall quite easy. Picture shows rounded tips but mine came slanted which I like better but you might want to update your pics if that’s what your sending. All in all, if you’re looking to make your Harley sound like a Harley, look no further than the Cobra 3”.
