Fast shipping and was easy to install. Comes with detailed instructions. There is only one catch to this kit. You will need to buy the S&S brand intake manifold flanges (Front and REAR) and the 4 Allen head intake manifold bolts to install. Make sure you have red and blue thread locker as well.

Pretty straight forward installation. Little bit of a tight fit installing with the gas tank on the bike.
Everything went smooth stalled the recommended Jets listed on instructions and motor size and never had to rejet it on initial tune up haven't put too many miles on it yet but it seems to run a lot better
Awesome!! Replaced original CV carb on my '93 Springer FXSTS, can't believe how well everything improved. Idles better (especially cold), more low-end punch (bike feels lighter with the extra power), and better gas mileage! Went from 45 to 51 mpg. Given the old carb really needed replacing but the bike still ran good with it. Install took some time and patience with me not having done carb work for 20+ years, but everything finished VERY well with no leaks or issues. Wish I could have done it years ago!

No issues with sidewinder system. The instructions were older and not correct with regard to the tranny bracket. Verbiage said use the short one, but the illustration said use the long. I emailed you and you set me straight. Thanks.

Nice kit, it takes some effort to install it but it is worth it. Check over carb when you get it, my air screw was screwed it very tight ( hopefully no damage).
The Super E is the best carb out there to wake your performance. This kit was complete with everything you need to include multiple jets for proper tuning.

I’ve been rebuilding my bike for a few years now and the one thing it’s been missing is this carburetor! Had my local H-D dealer install it over the winter, when I picked it up a few weeks ago I felt like I was on a new bike. My bike is old but she looks and runs new now, like H-D said S&S and the EVO motor where made for each other. I’m so happy!! I can’t say enough, the motor has been all rebuilt and this was the finishing touch.

Used in ‘98 Ultra Classic EFI to carb conversion. This is my first Super E. Easy install, easy set up and easy tuning. <br /><br />Comes with a complete set of jets for tuning, intake seals, air breather, fuel line, fuel overflow hose and vacuum hose. You use your intake flanges but shave them level, and polish the intake port surfaces and flange surfaces for a good seal. <br /><br />The carb I received leaked from the overflow and fuel pump when it arrived. I rebuilt the carb, found loose screws, adjusted the float found the needle valve stuck. Not a big deal to me.<br /><br />I used sil-glide on the intake seals to get them to seat. <br /><br />I WOULD recommend using this kit! It’ll save you money in the end. Expect to do some work but it’s not difficult, if you can tie your shoes.

I have to say it took a long time to commit to buy this product. I recently purchased and put it on and WOW!!!!!!!!!! COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!.. Made the 97 FXDWG scream like a banshee...The instructions need to be read carefully but they do cover a few different models but if you have ever worked on a bike it should be no problem.Thank you JP again for another wonderful upgrade for my ride...next order incoming!
My brother and his buddies all ran with an S&S Crabs on their Harleys. So when I inherited my Father's 1992 Daytona Dyna Glide, I too had to run with the S&S Super E Carb. I installed it myself and it was easy to install and it run great and has got the power omg! So Sweet!<br />Biker,
Overall good quality, minus the manifold not machined wide enough on the carb-side bolt area to easily get everything aligned at the backing / head breather bolts - had to force it together. Box stated it was jetted 0.0295 / .072 - found .070 installed, but came with a full jet kit. Won't know the full (hopeful) potential until the weather warms a bit
I haven't had a chance to feel the pull of this carb yet wate for whether to brake but love all ss carbs

I recently replaced my stock Harley CV carb with an S&S Performance Super E kit. Wow what a difference! My bike never ran very good before this, hard to start, difficulty maintaining idle RPM and was always trying to run too lean. Despite my best efforts to correct those fuel delivery disorders there was very little I could actually do since HD CV carbs only have an idle adjustment and enricher/choke on them and nothing more. So I invested the money and bought the S&S unit which is a finely honed piece of equipment compared to the CV and has plenty of adjustment options to keep the motor running smoothly under all conditions. My bike never ran near this smooth before I made the change and it looks really good too. Well worth the money! Not cheap but quality things rarely are. Thanks S&S for designing and marketing a really fine carburetor that fits on my HD.

I am very happy with this Carb. My bike has never run better. It was easy to install, every thing mounted up perfect. Adjustments were also easy to make. Only one little problem with old throttle cables binding. After a few minor adjustments now it works great. Instructions were a little confusing at first because they were for so many different models of bikes.Once I figured out the proper steps for my bike it made sense. I would highly recomend this S&S Super E carb kit.

I love the S&S Shorty Super 'E' carb. So far it is an outstanding carb for my 80 inch Evo. I had to tweek it some but overall it is great. I think it is the best thing I have ever done for my Road King.
