Dunlop Harley-Davidson D402 Tires

I have been using the Dunlop D402 tires on my Harley FLHTP Police Touring model since I purchased it new in 2007. Traction is excellent on these tires. I put hard miles on my bike and the tires hold up well. I had my rear tire go flat at high speed due to a bad valve stem and was able to drive the bike home. The sidewalls stayed rigid during the drive and after replacing the valve stem I was able to continue using the same tire until replacing due to normal wear. I definetly recommend the Dunlop Harley-Davidson D402 tires.

Isn't broke don't fix it.

This is the same as the stock tire for my Softail Slim S, so I bought a replacement, got 13,500 miles of pretty hard riding out of my last one. Can't complain there. Looks good and sheds water decent, I put my bike through some crappy places and turns and this tire hasn't offered to skip or slid without me wanting it to.

Hard to believe

on both bikes, mine are junk...The seam is visually pronounced on both and causes wobbles in turns.

Dunlop quality

I've only had the rear on for a few weeks but so far I am liking the D402. I was a fan of the American Elite tires but can't find one anywhere so how can I go wrong with the Dunlop? I put the tire on myself using the balancing beads so I can't say how balanced these tires are. It is riding perfectly. Guess I'll get a front tire when the bike needs it. <br />Seems like all of the tires are getting expensive these days.

I replace the tires with same style that were on my 08 Ultra Classic. I like the slim whitewall that Dunlop provides. I've had Dunlop on other bike's in the past, they preform great.

Trusty old Dunlop, getting a bit long in the tooth now, only average grip and mediocre tread life, Elite III is a much better tire. About time to let this one retire.

Harley Davidson Oem for a reason

I put almost 11,000 miles on my bike before I decided to change my rear tire (probably needed changed at 10,000). Not to shabby for a tire under $200.

These are the stock OEM tires for the bike, didn't see any reason to change anything, it's a proven performer.

Good Tires...good price

Bought a set of the Geomax MX32 for my son's CR80 and they work great. Not too difficult to mount, traction is good for the terrain we ride...mostly dry, mostly clay/loam. He doesn't have enough hours on the tires to get a feel for how long they will last...time will tell.

I used dunlop tires on my last two bikes, 404's on honda spirit. Very good tire handles well its just short on life about 9000 to10, 000 miles. On my road king the 402 dunlops lasted 13, 500 miles but the bike wanders badly in grooves or cracks in the road. The front feels lite crossing the white lines and I have had the bike checked out for anything loose or miss adjusted. I have varied psi on front and rear tires but not much improvement. Im changing to metzler me 880 hoping it will improve.

Harley Davidson D402F (Front Tire)

I ride a 1999 HD Softail Custom and have been pleased with the over-all performance of the tire, however, I am not impressed with the low mileage/wear. I have less than 6,000 miles on the front tire and ir is beining to show wear. But it is relative to the price paid. I did not pay $139 for the tire, I paid [$]. I am buying the Dunlap D402 tires again more for the fact that they are co-developed and recommended by Harley Davidson.

Use on my show bike that I drive normally around town along with some poker runs. Why try something different when I am happy with the mileage and everything else. I do not ride in the rain not because of tire but because of show quality bike. Great all around tire, got good mileage (8,000 rear, and 9,000 front), handles well, very good in the rain. Harley did well to chosse as its OE tire.

D402 tires

Living on a rock in the middle of the ocean, this tire works well on curvy wet roads. Monitoring correct air pressure is a must. As it is very difficult to get tires here, one call was made and outstanding customer service the proper size was located and shipped. I had the tire within a week. As most bike parts take upwards of a month to arrive with outrageous shipping costs I enjoyed the customer service, price of the tire and shipping costs.

Mounted this tire on my 2006 Electra Glide for a trip from Missouri to Alaska and back. We rode in all weather conditions on this trip including low 40's up to 100+ temps. We had dry, wet, and even hail covered roads. Smooth concrete, chip and seal black top, metal grate decked bridges, wood decked bridges, potholes, frost heaves, hundreds of miles of gravel at a time, twisty back roads and lots of 80+ mph interstate travel. The tires performed perfectly. Even at 80 mph across South Dakota in the pouring rain for 6 hours! This tire works like it should with no fuss at all. 9k miles round trip and the tire is pretty much done. I could prob get another 1-2 out of the tire before it's completely shot, but I think the mileage is acceptable considering the bike was heavily loaded for all 9k miles.

These are great tires. I bought front and rear. They say Dunlop Harley Davidson on the sidewall like my old tires. I chose the blackwall tires. The only issue I had, they had stickers on them that said Made In USA. The front tire was made in France according to what was molded into the sidewall. I don't mind. I didn't want tires made in China.

The tire is good as all of the tires I have purchased from you over the years have been. The problem with the purchase this time was the means of shipping, before tires were shipped by either FedEx or UPS. I always had the tires in 2 to 3 business days. This time I ordered on the 18th and was delivered on the 28th. It went from Kentucky to Louisiana to Dallas to Omaha back to Dallas to Amarillo where it sat for five days. Amarillo is only 145 miles from me. I know you can't control the USPS. But for us in my town it is not a good way for shipping.

You have been in business for a long time. I've done business with you before. I was very disappointed because you could or would not give me a timeframe for getting the slim whitewall tire so I had to settle for the blackwall. I've had to go without my bike because I don't want to settle for a mismatch tire set. A local bike shop has agreed to swap that tire for a slim whitewall BUT I still have to wait several more weeks. For as long as you're been in business I would think a better timeline could have been given.

Great and can run flat a short distance

Dunlap D402 Motorcycle Tires are great. In the past I have been able to run about two miles (slowly) FLAT after running over a nail and the sidewalls held up great. Just a patch and ready to go. These are tough tires that hold up well.

I hate the tire, it was not the tire that was advertised in n the pictures. I'm gonna lose money sending it back and am going to eat the cost. I am forced to purchase a new tire elsewhere. I'm not putting the tire on my bike. It's not what style fits the bike

Perfect replacement handle like the original. I made a minor mistake and ordered the slightly more expensive (D402 not 401 original). 130 mph tires. I grew out of go fast but if I get caught in a hurricane tail wind the tires will be fine. My error great tires.

I was looking for a new tire as I had gotten all my use and then some out of my last set, this tire not only is a direct OEM fit but it definitely restored the ride quality on my electra glide. I definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a new tire.

I have two 06 Harleys that use the same Dunlop 402 www tires. The front ones seem to last about 20,000 miles. This tire has 3/16 in. of tread brand new. I thought they used to have about a 1/4 in. I'll hope for the best.
