My Favorite Pads 2 - 1
OK. Just wore out my first set of Lyndall Xtreme brake pads after 11000 miles @ over $70 per set. I Had these EBC Semi-sintered pads on the same bike (2013 FLHTC) and I got 10000 miles on them @ Just over $33,00 a set. So to me the math is simple. The EBC Pads Beat Lyndall Xtreme pads 2 to 1...<br /> I also wanted to state these are not as hard grabbing as the Xtremes and don't have to be as hot to work well. The Xtremes have to be very hot to work good which is not common on everyday driving...<br /><br />The only other pad I can compare to is OEM HD pad which are more expensive then EBC but less then Lyndall Xtremes but really perform poorly on heavy HD Baggers IMO...<br /><br />So the install is very simple make sure to have a small tube of Disc Brake Pad Grease on hand for the back and slide points but be careful not to get any on the pad surfaces!!! Anti-seize compound on the pad bolt threads also. If you have more then 2 years on your Brake Fluid remember its due to be flushed and replenished using a new unopened bottle of Brake Fluid. I recommend Bel Ray Brake Fluid...<br /><br />So comparing those aforementioned 3 Pad Manufactures I have to say I'm sold on Semi-sintered EBC pads for Harley Touring bikes and I have installed these pads on FatBoy, and Breakouts both have also performed very well and their owners like the EBC Semi-sintered as well. <br /><br />I would say these grab about like the Lyndall Gold series pad but last longer then those pads which run on the $50.00 range per set...<br /><br />I like the way the EBC pads perform in the rain as well as hot dry Florida weather...<br /><br />I hope this info helps you in picking your next pads and if you have any questions I failed to answer feel free to contact me.<br /><br />80% of the guys I ride with use EBC 10% are on OEM HD pads and a few on Lyndall Pads...<br /><br />FYI Twin power pads? Not for me been there done that and took them off my bike in less then 500 miles.
Less Stop
Pads make less dust and have made no noise yet. But have less stopping power than the stock pads.

Direct replacement, took less than 30 minutes to do the rear brake replacement. At least as good as stock.
Good brake pads
I bought these for my 2014 Limited because things need replacing sometimes. Thay were easy to install, fit well and have been as quiet as the factory set. <br /><br />I would recommend these as a quality replacement.
Decent but iffy on buying again
For the price of these, they aren't that bad but one of my main complaint is the noise. after installing everything they were way noisier than the stock Harley ones..I put them on with around 16k miles and now i need to replace them at 21k. they didn't last as long as I wanted them to

OEM Alternative
They are stopping good without squeaks/squeals. I dont notice any excess brake dust either. Ive put about 20,000mi on them and they seem like they will outlast the stock pads. No complaints.
Way to noisy. yes I broke them in the correct way. I put them on the rear. They make a loud buzzing sound while stopping. Also they barely work while it's raining out. I will definitely be changing them ASAP
They work well. They don't grab as well as the original stock brakes under heavy braking. Can't figure out why there is a buzzing noise when the brakes are applied now.

EBC breaks, FLHTK 2010
I have used EBC brakes of several of my bikes. I like the way they preform. Easy to install. I have not installed them yet on my 2010 FLHTK so I can not give any in-site at this time about the Harley. I am sure they will preform great as they did on the other bikes.

Poor stopping power
Pads do stop, they do not stop as you would expect. They are noisey, and there is almost no "bite" like im use too with OEM. I was shocked on how much distance it took to stop, compared to me OEM warn out pads. Manufacture EBC replied to a email I sent. if youre not riding long distance, two up with lots of luggage and possibel trail, then a stand touring bike would need the EBC HH pad.

Did not like these pads at all waste of $ yanked them off instantly. they make a of noise and do not stop well and smell like burning brakes.
Great pads
These are great pads and were a perfect fit. At first they were louder against the rotors but seem to be getting quitter as they wear in. These pads do not seem to have the bite that the factory pads had and do require a bit more pressure to make a quick stop.

They are ok but not good what i expect, I used my ebc brakes on my Track brakes and there awesome but for harley preform verry poor

I had brimbos before and when I switched to these. I did notice the initial bite wasnt aggressive. My rear break I have to break harder to get aggressive bite. Yet, not bad tho. They a 5/10

They stop that's all I can say. I have rotor noises it sounds like a cicada. I have right about a thousand miles on them now and it has not changed it has not gotten any worse but it has not gotten any better either.
Not awful but wouldn’t buy again
They make a light rubbing noise when running. I could live with that but the brakes have no grip. I have mash the brakes for them to really grab. Having to relearn slowing and stopping distances.

Not sure yet if I like them or not. Had Brembo pads on previously. Bike takes a lot longer to stop now. Might just need worn in a little more.

The pads look and fit perfectly but it seems as though it takes a lot more pedal effort to get the pads to grip. The calipers are functioning correctly.

They are OK.
2016 Road Glide 15k miles. Original front brakes were grabby and were due for a change. I went with these simi-sintered brake pads since they are proclaimed to not be a grabby and more like organic. And they were correct. These pads do not grab at all and require a forceful pull on the brake lever to get it to slow down. They are slightly better than the Harley original so I am going to keep them and I imagine I will get used to them.

Wrong application for Road Glide Special.
Good brake pads. Excellent fitment. However it takes more apply pressure to stop the Road Glide. I am thinking for the full touring harley, Full-Sintered are pads required for proper braking.

I would not buy them again.
They fit-up with no issues. In my opinion they do not "grab" the rotor as well as the OEM pads do. They require greater lever pressure to stop the bike and (in my opinion) still require an increased stopping distance. I would not buy them again.

EBC brakes are fantastic, so far. My 16 ultra started rear squealing from the beginning with original pads, Harley has changed pads and rotors several times only to continue.<br />so far these are 90% better
Sintered to EBC
I installed the brakes on a new set of polished front rotors. The brakes are new/re-manufactured. The appear to be quiet. I like the stopping power as it is compared to the Harley OEM brakes.
