About FOX

FOX has built performance suspension for off-road racing, mountain bikes and powersports since 1974. Its motorcycle shocks bring race-derived damping architecture and rebuild-ability to street and touring applications.

Enhance the ride quality of your Harley Touring model with FOX IFP 13-inch rear shocks. Designed for consistent damping across the entire suspension stroke, these shocks deliver improved control and comfort. Experience a more planted feel and confidence-inspiring performance on every ride.

Why riders pick this

  • Gas-charged monotube with internal floating piston
  • Velocity-sensitive damping for responsive handling
  • Hand-adjustable spring preload
  • 1.5-inch 6061-T6 aluminum hard-anodized body
  • Available in multiple spring rates to match rider weight
  • Fully serviceable and rebuildable

These FOX IFP (Internal Floating Piston) shocks feature a gas-charged monotube design that ensures consistent, fade-free performance. The internal floating piston separates the nitrogen gas from the shock oil, preventing aeration and maintaining damping integrity even during long rides. Tuned specifically for V-twin cruiser geometry, they provide a significant upgrade over factory units.

Advanced Damping for Superior Control

  • Gas-charged monotube design with internal floating piston for consistent performance
  • Durable 1.5-inch 6061-T6 aluminum body with hard-anodized finish
  • Advanced high-flow, deflective-disk velocity-sensitive damping
  • Hand-adjustable spring preload for fine-tuning your ride
  • Low-friction 1/2-inch hard-chrome shaft with super finish

Tailored for Your Riding Style

Available with a Carbon Black spring in standard, heavy-duty, or super-duty rates, these shocks can be matched to your specific rider weight and loaded touring setup. The fully serviceable and rebuildable design means these shocks are built to last, offering long-term value and performance. Whether you're commuting or touring cross-country, these FOX IFP shocks will transform your Harley's handling.

You won’t be sorry!

I’ve always heard that suspension upgrades are the best money you can spend on a motorcycle, particularly on a Harley. This is the first bike that I’ve actually done it, and they were right. Immediately the motorcycle rode smoother, was more stable in sweepers, and the suspension eats up the things that used to launch me almost out of the saddle. Not as “showy” as other things you can spend your money on, but you won’t be sorry. 100% improvement over stock Harley suspension!

Bought these for my 21 Road Glide. Definitely a huge improvement from stock. Coming from a Legend Revo A, the ride quality from these fox shocks compared to legends is pretty far apart and reflects the $400.00 price difference. Still worth the money though as it is a very comfortable ride.

Do yourself a favor. Now.

Man, what a difference. 2019 FLHXSE with the same crappy shocks as my ‘15 FLTRX. Went an inch longer than stock. No more eyeball shakes going over some mild washboard and no spitting out dental fillings. No more hard bottoming-out and if you somehow manage to, the snubber is twice as thick as OEM. Easy to mount. No issues and no negatives. Glad I did it and you will be, too. An excellent and very competent shock. No goofy look-at-me reservoirs sticking out like a mechanical tumor. They just plain work and work well.

Took my 20th century bike into the 20th century.

The stock Harley shocks just plain suck. (2021 Street Glide Special)<br />Got tired of getting beat to death, upgraded the front fork cartridges (and new oil 15wt) and rear shocks to Fox on both ends. I am 270 and typically ride solo, went with the heavy-duty spring set-up on both ends then just tuned them on the light side from what was suggested.
