Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the kit?

Viton O-rings, a brass nickel-plated check valve, stainless steel springs, and all components needed to rebuild the original fuel check valve assembly.

Do I need to replace my entire check valve?

No — this rebuild kit restores the original valve instead of requiring a full replacement, saving money on parts.

Will this fit my pre-2001 Harley?

This kit is for 2001 and newer fuel-injected models. Older carbureted models use different fuel system components.

Is installation difficult?

Rebuild difficulty depends on fuel system accessibility on your specific model. Consult your service manual or a Harley technician if unfamiliar with fuel system work.

Petty build with nonsense orings insertions.

Job could be easy id it wasn't for the last (small thick one) oring. Putting it back together was too difficult. The oring would not sit in the collar to be able to push it up with the A tool. Wish there was a better way to seat these orings. Would be nice if we can just replace the whole unit as one piece. Ex: lift the check valve, disconnect the gas line, insert the whole piece as one, prebuilt as both orings, spring, and valve in a housing, insert prebuilt piece, connect the gas line back and done. Instead of having to try and shove all the pieces in one by one. My way...NO tools necessary. Disconnect, insert one prebuilt piece, reconnect. That easy.

Works great but you have to use the special tool for removal and installation

I just needed the 1 larger diameter O-ring. It was a tiny bit smaller in thickness. I spent about 5 minutes installing it very carefully with a paper clip. I lubed it with some WD-40, hooked up the fuel line and no leak! The Harley dealer told me it could not be done. Yes it can. I have since put 1,200 miles on the bike with no issues. I bought 2 packs so I had a spare.

It corrected my leak. Did not need the Fuel Tool to replace

Wrong o ring for the job

The valve kit gives the wrong size morning and it still leaks after installation. You need a metric 40x20x2mm to fit the fuel valve spring assembly.
