Junk! This is only worth it if you plan on using the cable and trashing the throttle assembly and grips. The parts feel incredibly cheap and flimsy. The throttle grip won't stay on the throttle. It's hard to believe these pieces came together and fit so poorly. Save your money. The cable is fine.

You get the quality you pay for, I guess.

Poor build quality - everything is cheap plastic and the parts won't stay together. I can't stand my bike up without the right hand grip slipping halfway off the throttle assembly. I mean it technically sort of works, but only buy it if you need a stopgap between no throttle and one that actually works.

An okay stop-gap for a project bike until you want to spend the money on a good thorttle kit.

Cheap build quality - all most all components are plastic. I can't stand my bike up without right hand grip slipping off the throttle assembly and the plastic end piece falls out. It's working as a temporary throttle control while I work on this project bike though. Still works, but I guess there's a reason it's $40.

Throttle Cable

As advertised, no surprises or issues.

I am using this on my 1978 low rider with an S&S Super E carb. Works great.

Excellent...worked perfectly and was easy to install. after weeks of dealing with internal throttle cable not being the right length..this was easy to setup and dial in to S&S shorty E carb. i highly recommend this product.

Nice for the price but the cable that comes with it is too long. It has to be adjusted all the way out to the last two threads.

Lasted one season, plastic tab holding cable to throttle broke, had to melt together just to get home

Really liked this at first but have had it on the bike for over a year now and I'm not as pleased. The nylon on the grip tube that connects to the cable is soft and wore to the point where it now goes back into the clamp further than it should at closed throttle causing the throttle to stick and have extra slop when starting up. It is really annoying and somewhat unsafe. The clamp and cable are great. I like the looks of everything and the feel of the grips but I am now looking for a replacement tube and grip for the throttle side to fix the sticking problem.

Great setup for the low cost. I'm using a single cable bendix carb. You have to snip the end off the carb end of the cable, then slide the cable into the screw tensioner on the carb body. That can easily unfray the cable.<br /><br />Advise hot soldering the tip of the cable if you have to cut it, this prevents unfraying of the cable and lasts much longer.<br /><br />Recommended.

I'm 61 years old, riding for 44. I like normal, soft grips that don't transfer a lot of vibration from my Ironhead. These do the trick for me. Cable meets my expectations too.
