cbr600rr

i have never been able to justify spending $100+- on a bike stand to do maintenance on my chain, so I've always just pushed the bike. Sprayed scrubbed, pushed again, over and over and over.

found this rollerstand, and its amazing. for $30, you honestly can't beat it. I use it for my 03 cbr600rr and its perfect. Takes a good 'umph' to get the rear tire on the stand, but after that its a breeze. I can spin the rear tire with one hand while scrubbing my chain with my other hand. PERECT alternative to a stand, and a fraction of the price. Plus, it only weighs what like 3 pounds.

Not what I expected

Unless you are seriously hard up for cash then spend the extra coin and get a rear spool stand. I used this as an aid to clean and lube my chain but it ended up adding time to the process. My GSXR leaned too much with the kickstand down so with every turn of the wheel it kicked further and further to the side of the rollers. Every 2 turns I had to pick up the rear of the bike and move it to the middle of the rollers so that the wheel wouldn't fall right off the side and send my bike bouncing down the driveway. The instructions recommend putting a block of wood under the stand so I tried that but it made the bike so unstable it almost tipped. Get a rear stand. Save yourself the hassle.

Easier than moving your bike

The bearings don't move as fluidly as I imagined but it still works nonetheless. Helps me clean the front wheel without moving the bike forward and back.

great invention

Have a center stand for my Honda Goldwing but cleaning the rims on my Ducati Monster and CBR100RR posed a problem. Problem solved. Everyone should get one of these, makes life simpler.

Works for cleanings

works in a pinch, but getting the angle right, and planning for wheel drift is difficult.
seems very handy for the amount of space it takes up
