INVENTORY THE KIT AS SOON AS YOU GET IT

Open your gasket set as soon as you get it and check it closely. I ordered one a couple of years ago (military requirements had me put the bike in storage) and it has been sitting unopened until today. Now that I'm ready to get this engine put back together I opened it up and it should have had two primary cover gaskets due to changes in the 1977 and up primary. The kit only had one, and naturally it was for the older models and mine is a '77. Now I have to order a primary cover gasket and the cheap paper ones start at $25 + shipping. I don't care for cheap paper. Not enough to break the bank...I just wish I had opened it up as soon as I bought it. I guess it was my fault for trusting James to have everything in there.
