Common questions

Which engines are these gaskets compatible with?

These gaskets are specifically designed for Twin Cam 88 V-twin engines, commonly found in Harley-Davidson models from the late 1990s through the early 2000s.

Can I reuse my old engine gaskets?

No, gaskets are single-use components. They compress and conform to surfaces once, so they should always be replaced with new ones during any engine work to ensure a proper seal.

Will this gasket fit Twin Cam 103 or Milwaukee-Eight engines?

No, this specific part is for Twin Cam 88 engines only. Different gasket part numbers are required for Twin Cam 103, Twin Cam 96, and Milwaukee-Eight (M8) engines.

The picture shows gaskets, but in the description it says o-rings at the very bottom, gross misrepresentation of the product, JP service rep blamed the manufacturer for sending a stock photo…bunch of B.S…. How about someone actually correct the pic or remove it… that way no one pays for the wrong part…

Good Gaskets, Vague Placement Information

The James gaskets seems to be doing well. My concern is that there is no specific indicators as to the which side faces up. The firering section has a slight difference in the width of the outer portion of the ring itself. By design one side has a slightly wider edge to the ring compared to the flipside. I am sure this design is for a reason. But, when I inquired about it, I was told it didn't make a difference as to the orientation of which side should face up. Time will tell I expect.
