Turns night into day
I just got mine tonight, installed it and took it for a test ride. (2016 Indian Roadmaster-which comes with a factory LED headlight). All I can say is WOW. I'm not sure the overall light intensity is all that much brighter-but there are no dead spots, the beam is far wider and the adaptive function...seems like magic. A road I commonly take at night is bunch of tight, twisty, 20-40 MPH curves, with a bunch of hills and dips. Oh, and a rock face on one side and river on the other. It's about a 8-10 mile stretch (and a lot of fun in the daylight) without a single street light (and few houses). With the stock headlight, I found it downright scary. Every time I banked into a curve the abrupt cutoff of the light beam left curves utterly black-it's like riding by brail-no idea the sharpness of the turn (and I've put a bunch of time trying to dial in the adjustment). Making right turns off a dark country road is the same way-nearly have to stop and turn the fairing to see rather than lean into the turn and ride through it. Hills/dips in the road left huge dark areas, and of course the normal dark band below the high beam "patch". Oh, and at best the beam pattern is pretty narrow-forget seeing critters off the side of the road. I found passing cars coming the other way on dark country roads bad as well-the low beams are aimed so low (when the highs are adjusted to be functional) that it's like being blind when someone is coming the other way. Tolerable in town and not bad on wide, straight, level roads-none of which describe North Idaho.

With the adaptive-world of difference. Light everywhere with no dark, blind spots. Coming into the turn the adaptives kick in (on top of the much more effective high beam) and throws light around the corner. The first couple of curves I was taken back a bit-it seemed like someone was coming the other way the way the corners lit up. Curves that had me creeping around before now I could take comfortably at 40mph or better. I could see deer (aka fur-bearing terrorists) out in the fields when driving. Turning off the paved country road onto my dirt road was always an adventure-nearly impossible to see the turn until on top of it, and again, nearly have to stop to make the turn. Now-it's like daylight-no issues seeing the road coming up to it, and seeing around the turn was a non-issue. And the low beam issue is much better-I felt I could ride quite safely on just low beams at a decent speed. Coming over hills no longer left a huge black hole (and I think I can get this better-I think it's set a bit high). Oh, did I mention that it was raining this time and my visor was fogging? Still could see far better than with the stock bulb on a dry night.
Paying the price was painful (and I'm a bit financially challenged-as well as cheap) so it took a bit to convince me. As of now, I have to say, worth the money. I honestly think that with it I might have avoided the deer I tagged last fall with this light. That happened when I had to drop to low beam due to a car coming the other way and a deer ran between us-never even saw it till it hit my fender. At least now there is a fighting chance against zombie bambis.

After a few more days riding, I am even more impressed. Makes a huge difference on tight, twisty roads that abound with wildlife. If I were traveling more flat, straight roads, I'd look as something different and less expensive. But on a twisty road, this thing rocks.
Great light
Lights up the comers great!!!!
I love it and it looks great too!
Best light money can buy
For those who don't want to read too much... Amazing light. No dead spots, light illuminates closer, wider and farther than stock Indian Pathfinder LED.

I received the JW Speaker Adaptive 2 headlight and installed it a little over a month ago. I don't ride at night too often and last night was the first night ride with my girlfriend. She noticed the massive difference between the stock LED light and this JW Speaker Adaptive 2 along with the JW Speaker Riding Lights. Actually, that's the reason I'm writing a review... It made enough of an impression on her that she said I needed to review it.

Absolutely amazing difference. These lights illuminate everything from a few feet in front of the motorcycle, the sides of the roads and down the road. With the stock headlight, I felt uncomfortable riding down the road much faster than 50mph because I just couldn't see. With this light, I was perfectly comfortable riding 70mph.

No doubt it's a very expensive light. In my opinion, it's worth every cent.
Not worth the money
Installed on 2017 FLHXS. Installed as per instructions. No better than stock on low beam. I prefer stock on high beam. I raised the aim up higher and saw a slight improvement on low beam. Save your money!
Great lamp!
I t-boned bambi last year and wrecked my headlight assembly. Since I was looking for an upgrade anyway I bought this. I live in rural Missouri and this lamp lights my way just fine. The lean sensitive lighting is always where I need it before I need it. The digital burn works just fine. I'll gladly put this on my next cruiser as soon as I can.
You get what you pay for
This is my second JW Speaker Adaptive headlight. It is simple plug-n-play and installed easily into my 2016 Indian Roadmaster. A little trimming of the plastic headlight bucket was required to accommodate the larger heatsink on the rear of the light.
I live in an area where there is heavy tree canopy that blocks out the moonlight and there are minimal street lights. Add into that the deer and other critters that hang out in the woods making premium lighting a must.
I have experimented with other high performance lighting and although some throw the beam a long distance down the road, none have the quality of light pattern that the JW Speaker light provides. No blinding of cars in front of you or oncoming traffic. And yet reflective roadside signs are illuminated a halt mile away.
There are certain items that premium products/pricing are worth it to me. After my helmet I put lighting at the top of my must have list. JW Speaker is simply the best in that area.
Awesome light!
Night and day difference compared to the stock light. Cant say for sure that the adaptive part works especially wel...maybe I just dont lean enough. But very good visibility, easy to install and actually looks really sharp even when the bike is off. Only real downside is it is SUPER pricey, IMO.
Good high beam range
Was impressed with the high beam range,be it narrow,.i think a bit more white light out the sides would be an improvement, overall better then previous led headlights Ive used. Well worth the bucks, but nothings perfect why the 4star..
Brighter side range on high beam would give it 5
best headlight on the market
I actually bought this three weeks ago but just got it installed tonight took me a real long trip came dark on the way home and boy does this headlight work
Pretty ok
The light is ok. The adaptive feature is great, works as advertised, really fills the areas the LED cut off misses. It does not throw as much light as my trucklite. I like it, but wish it threw more light.
3 stars for light
5 stars for adaptive
4 stars total
Awesome Headlight!!!!!!!!!!
This is absolutely worth the money. A must have upgrade. Don't just take my word for it check out the link and see for yourself.
Great light
Worth every cent I paid for this light. Brings out all those hidden corners at night.
Amazing lights!
I have JW Speaker lights on everything i can buy them for! Great style, durability, and when i approach any road signs, my lights hit them like a flamethrower!
On a motorcycle, there are things you should not cheap out on: brakes, tires, and light! Do it!
Never fear the darkness
I would reccomend this headlight to anyone who rides, even day riders only even. This light adds so much visibility even in broad daylight it is making you safer. It has beautiful illumination in both low and high beam, and I love the inside turn illumination on both low and high beam, absolutely incredible. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it was a straight forward install. Just wish they could have made it 100% plug and play.
Excellent
This headlight is excellent to see at night its unbelievable
The best motorcycle light there is.
It has made a big difference from the original halogen head light. It is wonderfully bright, it lights up both the near and far sides of the diches along the road. When on bright It makes it able to see a lot farther a head. While cornering the extra lights come on and lights up even farther on the sides where one is going.
I really enjoy having this light. It makes driving at night almost as light as day.
I put this on a 2015 Harley Road king so with the optional harness I had to cut both it and my existing harness and splice the wires together but was not a big job. I highly recommend doing the exchange.
Freaking awesome like! Absolutely love it, 10 minutes to install, eliminated all the blind spots at nighr. Highly recommend
Adaptive LEDs don't seem to do much
The adaptive part of this light doesn't seem to work for me. I don't notice anything getting lit up better when cornering. The overall low beam and high beam work fine, but it's not worth the money for this adaptive technology when it doesn't seem to do anything different from any other LED headlamp.
Jw speaker
A very expensive item that isn't all that bright.
I suggest a light bar.
Spend your money on some time else.
If you think theses are brighter than oem. You would be wrong. Works great just not any brighter than the oem light that comes on your harley.
Great at night, could be better in daylight.
Super bright LED headlight that is a huge upgrade over the stock bulb on my Vstar Classic 1100. Love the adaptive feature taking those corners at night! Also love the look of the black when the bike is parked. Install required some grinding on my stock mount to clear the heat fins on the back, but no biggie. My only concern is that the low beam almost disappears in bright daylight, which makes it harder for others to see me in traffic. For the price, I would have hoped for better daytime visibility as well.
Great light cant go wrong
Through May reviews and research I ended up with the 8790 Adaptive 2 headlight and no regrets! Pricy for sure but exactly what I needed.
Thrash
This light is not even close to the money it costs, honestly my 100.00 old one lights up the road waaaay better, the turn lights are also trash not bright at all, I have never been so disappointed in a up grade for my Harley ever! $800 for a light that is crazy to begin with, but I was hoping it would be crazy good for that price, but they missed the mark big time. Not to mention the day time brightness is one small light in the middle that no one can see.... Trash product, can't believe that there are good reviews on this thing
Great light
Finally got to try it out last night and it was wonderful I can make people dim their lights that like to blind me at night now even had a few flick at me and I was on dim really lights up the road
Can see in the turn now.
No more black holes in turns! Works fantastic.
Worth the money for safety
Light quality is well worth the money. So far has held up. A must purchase if you don't have led.
Headlight gives a much brighter light to see by and has a wider light area on the ground
Definitely a good product, bright and light's up corners well.
Love it, Great price and so much brighter than stock
Awesome Light best upgrade ever
Really lights the road up.
If you’re on the fence about getting this, jump over and order it! This is a massive and frankly a necessary upgrade! It fits my 2018 SGS perfectly. I made the adjustments after installing the headlight and couldn’t be happier! I feel 100% more confident rolling down the roads in the early morning hours now!
J.W.Speaker's headlamp light is absolutely phenomenal for driving in rain and fog. Fully recommended and guaranteed for five years. I made a road test video that you can see: https://youtu.be/wpHhvUsz094
This is absolutely worth the money. A must have upgrade. Don't just take my word for it check out the link and see for yourself. https://youtu.be/099kIe4PR5k
Good service and the delivery time was awesome.
Very nice headlight. Didnt want to pay Harley price for the same headlight from the same company. Nice and bright and can see great. Thanks
Broke too soon.
Meh. It was ok until it broke. Had to return it.
This light is awesome. It has such a nice beam pattern and the adaptive feature is very helpful. It replaced a hogworkz "daymaker" that was mediocre. Definitely worth the money. Also cannot beat the 5 year warranty!
Easy install. Waiting on late ride to see how it is on the road.
I never thought I’d ever need this on my bike. Now that I have it I don’t think I’ll need any other headlight again. A piece of art
Purchased just to be a show off however it after about a week .....works much much better than the stock light.
Amazing light it lights up EVERYTHING. I haven’t been on a dark country road yet,but nighttime Freeway / Highway riding is great it. Everything is so much brighter.
Love it just what I needy
I have had the light for three weeks, love it.
Low beam fills up the road from edge to edge.
Going around the turns it fills up the black void so you can see if there is any debree in the road. It is awesome
GREAT !!
Great light !!! installed 7" without mount in chrome on my 2020 road king. works great !!! comes with 5yr warranty from JW Speaker and make sure you purchase H4 adapter. if you purchase through custom dynamics for a bit more $$$ you get lifetime warranty and adapter included. your choice. overall great !!
WOW! What an improvement over the stock LED lamp. This part is excellent the way it lights the dark area when turning. The high beam is equally impressive and a huge improvement over the stock lamp.
Easy install, bright as day light, and covers the inside dark areas when cornering. 6 Star rating !
I can see clearly now. Awesome light. Lights up the night like day. Fast shipping and excellent customer service.
Great replacement for OEM halogen - best on the market
JW Speaker headlights are the gold standard for LED replacements. Take a look at not just other reviews but also Daniel Stern (find him online) to get a professional unbiased perspective. I installed as part of a total LED replacement (headlight, blinkers, tail light) on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Everything went smoothly and the light fits perfectly in the OEM housing with the OEM retainer clips. No additional ring or hardware is required.

I have not yet ridden after dark - this is more for insurance in fall when commuting and being out after dark.

BE SURE TO ADJUST YOUR BEAM AFTER INSTALL!
Jay L talked me into this and some pricey running lights. Best thing I ever did. Living in country - the combo lights up a mile of road - Worth every penny - Made in America. You want good stuff - lay out the $.
It lights up the road a little better than the factory LED but in my honest opinion it's not $600 better
Awesome adaptive light! Happy to get away from the incandescent scene and continually wondering why Harley sticks with the old technology. But, aftermarket businesses need an audience, I reckon.
This light is incredible. Does exactly what it claims to do. The videos do not do it justice. The low beam is quite good. When the bright is on low beam remains on to give you a great up close fill. The bright gives me the best illumination I have had on a Harley and the directional feature works perfectly.
Revived light in just a few days and is way brighter than the factory head light also very easy to install 2020 sgs
Nice light, however not compatible with Harley fixtures. Requires extra JW Speaker adapter for another 70.00. Be advised the hardware was incomplete furnished with adapter and remaining did not fit. Turned 20 minute job into 2 hours. Very frustrating. Otherwise nice light.
Recently installed this headlight on my Road King (along with the matching fog lights). They look great, and perform better! Couldn't be happier with the looks/performance or ease of install of this headlight. Well worth it, especially if you do any night riding on back roads.
Did not think I could justify the price . Man was I wrong !! If you ride at night this is a must . Went from a halo maker to this and could not be more impressed . Easy simple install and riding at night is just awesome now .
An amazing headlight, was plug and play for my 1998 BMW R1200 C. The adaptive lighting makes taking blind turns and curves at night 100 times safer lighting up the way.
A very nice upgrade from the original Harley-Davidson LED headlight. The new J W Speaker LED headlight is well worth the price. It does exactly what they say it does. Now I can see where I want to go. Great product.
That’s like pretty much does exactly what the specifications state. It was relatively easy to install. Any challenges with installation can be blamed up on the way Indian motorcycles designed their headlights. It shifts the beam at corners as reported in the bright light is very bright. My only negative is that it is a very expensive headlight.
Easy install, by far the best headlight
Up until this point I was never a big fan of riding at night due to poor visibility. I had a HD Daymaker on my 2015 Street glide and it was ok but I needed something more. When i saw the J.W Speaker Adaptive 2 Headlight in action on another bike, I immediately ordered one the next day. I was completely blown away when i leaned into a turn and you can actually notice the adaptive LED's turning on to light the corners. I live in Texas and we have some really dark roads out here and when I hit the high beams i was surprised on how far the direct beams shot down the road and destroyed the darkness. This rating only goes up to a 5 but I would give it a 10 as it completely doubled my expectations on how this light operates. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for and as expensive as this light is, totally worth it with no buyers remorse. Go get ya one.
