If you are worried about this lock holding up in a theft attempt...
Recently had someone try breaking the lock, which I use with the chain to secure my motorcycle to my carport. I didn't even notice the lock had been tampered with at first until I saw the plastic cover had been broken off, which I thought might have been a result of the recent stormy weather we had. It wasn't until I noticed the extent of the damage that I realized someone had tried stealing my bike. Not only did the lock hold up enough to prevent this, it also remained functional. I was able to unlock my chain, though it took some added effort compared to a intact lock, to send my bike off for service. Bought a replacement lock, but I will keep the beat up lock to use as a disc lock.
Good Starting Point
I purchased this lock after looking at many different Xena and Kryptonite models. I decided that I wanted a non-alarmed quality disc lock that I could add a chain to later. I decided for my entry level bike, this lock was the right fit. Many people wrote that the cable reminder included with the deluxe kit is short. For my Cbr500r, it's plenty long and the lock is smooth. Also, it packs well in my tail section.
Heavy Duty
This works perfectly for locking up my bike, I thread it through the sprocket. Very heavy duty, gives peace of mind. Its heavy so not something Id want to carry in my pocket so I just keep it in my bike luggage.
Perfect for price.
I bought the premium pack comes with; 3 keys (one has a small LED flashlight), a orange reminder cable (a must with a disc lock in my opinion), and a small carrying pouch. Lock feels solid and of good quality. The lock itself is bigger than I expected, the loop portion just barely fits through the front disc on my sportster. For $50 you can't beat it, provides peace of mind while leaving my bike unattended in the parking lot at work.

Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 Disc Lock
Hopefully I won't have to find out if it holds or not, but seems pretty hard to cut through without making a whole bunch of noise. Easy to put on and take off also. So far seems like it'll hold up! Plus shipping was very fast!! Definitely recommend!

Great lock! I’ve always loved these locks. Can’t break through them. I mean sucks that I have to protect my bike. But nowadays can’t trust anyone. I recommend these locks!
An honest review!
I would give this product a fifth star if the carrying pouch wasn't damaged in the package as I received it! Possible shipping issue or negligent handling mishap!!! However the lock is an obstacle and a deterrent for any potential threat to remove it without the key. I'm glad it has no alarm I need to fumble with or continue changing batteries in frequently! The orange color is bright and noticeable, and the reminder cable is a plus. The lock is large and heavy probably 4"x4" on approximation and feels sturdy. I have not tried to defeat it; nor will I; Just another layer of peace of mind when I'm parked and away from the bike?. Once again the pouch sucks and the retention clip could be better made or not included at all. 5Star lock zero star pouch!!

Kryptonite lock
Lock is heavy duty, like any other lock not their resistant, but it would be a solid deterrent.. if your bike has one and the bike sitting next to you doesn?t, your bike will still be there when you come back..
