Its very annoying that this piece is sold separately from the mount you require and they charge a decent amount for this piece as well. Unfortunately when theres not many options, they can charge what they want

After fitting an extended rear fender to my 2011 Deluxe I wanted to keep it completely smooth and that meant deleting the tombstone taillight, turn signals and plate mount.<br /><br />This part is well built, easy to install and wire up and looks great colour matched to the gloss black frame

The part looks good & fits the frame tube well. The problem is that it's supposed to hold a side mount license plate, & due to the weight of it & the vibration of the bike the screw tends to loosen. The clamp, being made of some sort of aluminum, does notwithstand a solid tightening torque & can (has) stripped. No loctite type product helps, the screw of the clamp loosens on its own. If it were made of steel one could tighten the license plate holder & perhaps one wouldn't have this problem.

Was absolutely NOT strong enough to keep plate frame mounted. Bracket kept rotating the mount on the swing arm and main bolt kept coming loose, even with blue loctite. Went above torque specs and even installed set screw. Plate bracket eventually fell off on the highway after this mount allowed it to rotate, catching the entire assembly between my pulley and tire.
Looks bad ass, nice mount. Wish the license plate frame was black too tho! Also has weak threads. The 20 ft lbs wasn't enough to hold the weight of the frame, it kept slipping & when I tightened it up a little more the threads blew out. Kinda sucks cuz I need a new one now!
fits as advertised.....sturdy and looks great...just wish the plate mount I ordered came in the nice black finish that this clamp does

Mount does NOT fit any model year Harley Rockers as it says it does on the fitment page! They have these all messed up, Go to the Kuryakyn page to make sure it fits before you buy and have to ship it back.
