So far so good if it lasts like the rear it'll be great.
I purchased this tire, and took it to a dealer to install. When I arrived he asked me why I didn't just put the front on when I had the rear installed. I asked what he meant by that, and he responded that the rear tire was new as well why not do them at the same time. To this I replied that the rear tire had 8,000 miles on it. This tire wears extremely well. The handling so far has been great, and wet traction seems very good as well. I would recommend this tire to any one who puts allot of miles on their bike. All in all a great tire at any price.
Very good long lasting tire
I commute everyday to and from work on these tires. in the heat and rain they last. I ride 60 miles a day and these tires have lasted me nearly two years, great all around tire would highly recommend them
Excellent Tires!
Feels like a brand new bike, suddenly I can lean around corners even with the 240 tires in the rear on my HD Night Rod. I did a great deal of research but these won out cause they should last 3-4 times as long as the other performance tires and still provide excellent grip!
Great overall tire
This tire has never let me down, overall one of the best, stiffest, grippiest tire ive ever used. I love to ride hard through the twisties and this tire puts up with everything ive thrown at it with absolute confidence. 10/10 will buy again (when they actually wear out that is...)
Great Tire
Probably the best set of tires I've ever bought. Handling and ride quality much improved over the stock tires. Already have had a few long runs and am glad I made the purchase.
Awesome tire!!!
This tire has completely changed my life, the bike looks so much better and performs so much better. Since buying this tire I've lost 20 pounds, gotten a promotion at work, my wife tells me she loves me more often. My children are no longer ugly and have all improved their grades. All because of this sweet Tire.
Michelin Com. ll
Bought these tires 4 months ago in the extreme heat, high 90's with high humidity. I have since ridden 3,000 miles and I couldn't be more pleased with them! Hot concrete, asphalt, dry or wet conditions including a sudden torrential downpours, they have stood up very well so far! My riding takes in most city roads as well as our mountainous twisties. I can hardly wait for our cold winter months to test them under those severe conditions as well.<br /><br />Maybe because they're still new but I cannot feel any loose pebbles nor street-cracks. So far have exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommended and would purchase them again!<br /><br />PROS: Good Cornering, Good Ride<br /><br />
Great!
Replace my dunlops for mich, worth every dollar, awesome tires
Much better than stock tires
Just went on a 1500 miles road trip<br />couldn't be any happier. Track wells, road transitions didn't effect the tires, great in wet weather. I can push the bike a little harder through the turns with all more confidence than the stock tires
Great tire! Makes a difference in the wet stuff!! Love these tires!
I highly recommend these for Harley Touring bikes. They stick in the curves better than Dunlop Elites and the Metzelers. Also, Great in the rain and on wet roads. I got over 21,000 miles on my last one and still had tread left when I changed it. Great tire!
Excellent traction and tread wear!
I bought this for my 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero and I am happy with the results so far! Far better than the stock Bridgestones that came in the bike from the factory! Don't hesitate, just buy it!
Great tires
Much better tires than the Dunlops that came with my bike. The Michelins give my bike a much better ride and they feel very stable in turns. I've only put a few hundred miles on the Michelin's but so far I'm very pleased with them.<br /><br />PROS: Durable, Good Ride, Good Cornering, Versatile<br /><br />BEST USES: Replacement, Upgrade, Street Riding
Great tires
I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan to work and back every day (150 mile round trip) year around. Since I live in Georgia that means all types of weather; hot, cold, wet, dry, etc
I currently am running my 2nd front and 1st rear
will be buying a new set in the next month. I have over 16,000 miles on the rear, a little less on the front (did not buy them at the same time). I'm hoping to get 18K out of the rear. The tires corner great, ride great (hey, they're Michelin's) and perform on wet roads. In fact, more than once I've caught myself riding too fast in the rain and had to slow down. I can't think of any reason to buy any other tire.<br /><br />PROS: Good Ride, Excellent On Wet Roads, Durable, Good Cornering<br /><br />BEST USES: Wet Weather, Daily Riding, Street Riding, Touring, Upgrade
Best Tire for Heavy Cruisers
I have a 2010 Ultra Classic with just over 25,000 miles. Installed a Michelin Commander on the rear and have over 13,000 miles on it now. Still have over 3/16th's of rubber left in the center of the tire. Installed a Commander on front about 4,000 miles ago. Will never run anything else. This tire is great on hot, greasy roads in Texas when the temps are above 105 and grip wet pavement like nothing else.<br />The only drawback, if you want to call it that is that these only come in blackwall. Personally I prefer blackwall tires on a bike anyway.<br /><br />PROS: Good Ride, Durable, Good Cornering<br /><br />BEST USES: Replacement, Street Riding, Upgrade
I am enjoying the quality of these tires
After the tires were installed my wife and I road over two hundred miles and could not be happier. These tires performed better and provided a much smoother more comfortable ride that the HD Dunlap's.<br /><br />PROS: Good Ride, Good Cornering, Durable<br /><br />BEST USES: Replacement, Street Riding
Great wet weather tire
Way my more grip with these of the stock hd tires I was running. I'm in seattle so lots of rain and cold weather most of year. These don't break loose as easy, havnt hydroplaned once with these yet, where as my old tires was pretty common ocurrance in regular rain. Can't speak for tread life yet as Iv only run them a few months now. I would expect a grippy tire to not last as long, but I'd rather have more control than extended life anyways, can't have both!
Great Tire for Hot/Cold and Wet/Dry
Cycle-Gear originally quoted me the wrong price but honored it when I got in store without any kind of fuss.<br />After putting the tire on the rear wheel, the rear wheel rides very well up to 80mph on my big bagger. There is some weave under cornering when you roll on the throttle, but other than that it is an excellent tire. Put 1000 miles on since I got it installed, and it has handled rains like a champ as well.<br /><br />PROS: Good Cornering, Good Ride<br /><br />BEST USES: Street Riding, Replacement
Best tire made for a motorcycle.
Harley Dunlap doesn't come close to the quality and ride of a Michelin. Wear better, handle better and last longer at a competitive price.
20,000 miles. Wow!!!
Ive been riding for 30 years, mostly on Metzler tires. I thought 6500-7000 miles was normal for a back tire and typically changed the front every other back tire change. I ran the original Dunlops on my 2012 Ultra Limited to 10,000 miles (worn out) and replaced them with the Michelin Commander IIs. I just rolled over 30,000 miles on the clock and getting ready to take it in for new front and rear. These tires handle like a dream in twisty mountain riding and I am thoroughly impressed with 20,000 miles of riding. We ride 2 up 95% of the time and loaded for long trips. I recommend these tires whole heartedly!!!
AWSOME
these are great tires I did a lot of research on tires and kept going back to these they handle great they look great on my 2016 softail slim best bang for the buck.
best tire made
I have the commander II on my Honda vtx 1300 rear. I ride to work 104 miles round trip and have around 9,000 miles on it. I can hardly see any wear on it. I put a plug in it 3,000 miles ago and it is still holding up. Love this tire. Wish they made my size in front. They have close just a bit narrower.<br /><br />PROS: Versatile, Good Ride, Durable, Good Cornering<br /><br />
Best tires to put between me and the road.
This is my second set of Commander II tires and I believe these are the best tires for the bike I ride. First set handled well on dry and wet Colorado passes in 27-90 degree weather. Noticeable difference in stock tires that came on my Road Glide and the Commander's. Have put 8k on my tires and they show little wear and give a confident ride in turns.<br />Yet to be determined how many miles I get out this set.
Complete confidence.
Be assured that Michelin quality has not been compromised. These tires are the bar that others reach for.<br />Easy going and sticky in the wet. The feeling of relaxed confidence allows you to focus on riding and enjoying the reason for riding in the first place. It's not the destination, it's the journey.
Commander II Tires
Made a world of difference in handling and traction from the 3 sets of Dunlop tires that I had purchased prior to these??
Definitely bang for your buck
You get what you pay for does good in dry conditions anything wet you might die.
great tires
after much research into the different brands and customer review inputs, I am very happy with my choice and the performance of these tires.<br />I found the grip better than expected in turns and have an overall more confident feel of my bike's handling.<br />Recommended!
Great Tire
Well only had 10000 miles on the front tire and ran over a nail had to buy a new one. With 10k miles the tire showed barley any wear at all. Back tire has 10k on it and it still looks new. Dry hot Florida roads I love these tires but I cant comment non wet traction as I am a fair weather rider only. My last commander II front tire I had balance beads. Not this one the beads were to noisy for my liking and I had a vibration at 70MPH and up. Mounted and balanced this tire myself and it is awesome. Vibrations gone and nice and quiet no cicada sound coming from the front wheel lol. I'm sold on Michelin Commander II tires on my 2013 Harley FLHTC. I think they are so much better then the OEM Dunlop's it came with new. I recommend these tires to all my Harley touring buddy's
Goldwing GL-1800
handlingextremelyshakingI'm rating this tire the lowers on "Bank for the Buck" and "Tread Life" as with all the hype of 25K miles of life, mine, RIP, died at 10K and rather quickly.<br /><br />I want to the city, about 30 miles round trip. Ride there was normal, but when I was half way home, I started getting a shaking in the handle bars. and it got worst VERY FAST.<br /><br />I pulled off thinking I had a flat, but no, tire pressure was spot on. I felt the tire is it was extremely badly cupped and had flat spots., only had 10K on the tire.<br /><br />As far as WET handling, I couldn't ask for a better tire.
Tire was a little old for a company that sells a lot of tires.
The tire was more than a year and a half old when I got it. I haven't put it on the bike yet.
I’ve had 5 different Harley’s always rode the commander series excellent tires never let me down good in rain and bad weather rode to North Carolina in the rain at Christmas absolutely pouring rain and they did excellent great grip absolutely in control the whole time
Smooth ride
Smooth ride and great handling for the price of tires with half the mileage claims. I rode in the rain the other day with no traction issues at all.
Love these tires
I love these tires. They don't track the road seams and it's easier to stay in turns. With the previous tires, I had to keep a good amount of pressure on the inside handlebar to keep it in the turn. I won't know for a while how long they wear.
Old tires
These Michelin tires are good, just be aware when you buy tires from a online source they can be very old. There is a code on the side of each tire telling you the week and year they were made anything overThree years is considered old.
Restored confidence
Great tires! Excellent grip. My Heritage handles awesome. Whether its turning corners on city streets, or those long, sweeping High speed curves on the open road. With these tires I have the confidence to lean way into the turns with no hesitation. Looking forward to seeing how many miles I can get out of them! <br /> Oh, and the price was great too. And standard shipping only took 3days.<br />Have not had to ride on wet roads yet, and so far the tires only have about 500 miles on them so I cant say anything about longevity or wet roads. So far, they have lived up to their reputation.
Used these tires often, highly recommended.
Replaced Scorcher 31 and love it
I have not had this tire for long. But this replaced my 80/90 21 Scorcher 31 on my Harley Dyna. The OEM Scorcher 31 gripped very well, so I am a fan of Michelin. The 31 tread life was horrible though. I can't speak for tread life on the Commander II, but so far grip is good. The best part? If you have the Scorcher 31, all road cracks seem to disturb the balance of the bike a bit. That is all GONE with the Commander II. Same load and speed rating, so I call this tire a decent upgrade. Now if only they made the Commander II 180/60 B17 75V.
Slippery when wet
If you drive like a grandpa these are the tires for you. I bought these tires to replace my Shinko tires that I love but had to replace every 6000 miles. Although these tires function well, I find they are very slippery on wet surfaces. The front and rear tire will slip on wet surfaces. I almost bit it in Sturgis turning a corner on wet asphalt. By the way I did wait to review these tires well after the break in period. Also very sloppy punching out of a corner even when warm. I had hope to continue with these tires because of the great mileage you get with them. Unfortunately, I think when they wear out I'll go back to the Shinko tires that I know I can trust not to slip and slide on wet surfaces. well in closing if you're looking for looks and long wear life these are great. If you want performance look elsewhere. <br /><br />2014 Street Glide Special.
Awesome Tires!
I've had this exact tire on multiple bikes and never had ANY issues. I would highly recommend these tires. Smooth, quiet ,and dependable.
1.5 Weeks in, and they are great!
I've only had these tires on my 2001 Electra Glide for about 1.5 weeks, and they are working great! So far in Phoenix, we've had dry weather and some wet weather. I have not noticed a difference between the wet or the dry roads. The price was great, and the delivery was really quick. need some tires? Do not let these pass you by. You will be very happy with these tires!
Last forever, grip like mad, super stable.
These turn a bit slowly compared to other tires Ive ridden but they are extremely stable and PLANTED. Theyre slow to turn but once turned they dont deviate from the lean angle you set it at. Great confidence booster. <br /><br />Also, they tend to be less disturbed by cracks/bumps in the road and the plastic things when lane splitting. On top of all this great stability and outright grip they last forever. Have 2000 miles on my rear currently with no appreciable wear. Wet experience is limited but they road fine. Lots of tread grooves and the tire is heavily made of silica which improves wet and cold temperature grip. <br /><br />Great tire, honestly
2500 Miles and almost no center wear!
It took me and a buddy to put this tire on the rear rim of my Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan Classic because the sidewalls are so stiff but the ride quality has been great and the traction was also great during a rainy day on the Cherohala Skyway and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm going to need to buy a front tire soon and it will be another Commander II!
Changed my ride
If they dont feel right change em, even if theyre brand new. Advice from my tire mechanic that never seemed necessary until
<br />Im 6, 195# riding a 2014 stock Vulcan Nomad. OEM tires were Bridgstone Exedra front and rear. The rear wore down at 9500miles and I replaced with an Avon Cobra as the only replacement with the same exact fit as the originals. I wanted to change out of the Bridgstone to see if the ride was any different. Indeed it seemed to develop an extra wobble on uneven road surfaces. But at about 1100 miles on the Avon I was ready to change the front. En-route to do so I found a pad of contractor staples laying out on U.S 95 and quickly needed to change the rear also. <br />Both front and rear got Commander II with the rear accepting a non stock 180/65/16, (stock was 170/70/16). Immediately the new rear wheel wobble disappeared. Even better, what I had always thought was a wind wobble exacerbated by the big bike, cruiser, windshield, bags combo, went away. The bike holds the line in a curve like never before. It has better control on the wet and sticks to the road in fast turn or stop like it was a different bike. Now if they wear like others have said (20-80% longer) they will even be cheaper than the stock tires over all. I guess I just didnt know what the bike should have felt like. Now I know.
so far so good
Great looking tire. Great grip getting ready for a Florida trip so will let ya know about wet traction and tire life later on.
Excellent Tire
I am using this on both front and rear tire and have 15,000+ miles on them with my big touring bike. (2011 HD Ultra Limited) Still have good tread. If you need grip I have been happy and still scrap the floorboards in corners.
Average, but not the best.
I do like the tire, but it is just average. The tire has sub-par wet grip. The tread life is better than the average tire, but at the expense of control and comfort. I've noticed that my 2011 FLTRX has less front end control. The Pirelli Night Dragons are probable the best tire out there. Their tread life is a little less than the Michelins, but you have great control, comfort and bang for the buck.
Second one 18500 miles on first one
Michelin Commander 2 tires for Ultra Limited
Best tire for the money, durability and wet-road safe riding I have ever used in 45 years of riding Hogs; I have rode on Dunlop, Continental, Cheng Shin, you name it, and the Michelin Commander 2 is the best one made, I won't put my baby on the back seat unless I have this tire on my Hog.
Didn't get close to Half the advertised miles, not happy
Nowhere near advertised mileage. I have 9000 on my last purchase ,I'll be lucky to get another 1000 out of it. 25000 miles? That's a laugh
Happy with Commander 2s
Been running them for years. Happy with the wet and dry handling, mileage, lack of tire noise. I was going to try the Commander 3, but read about balance issues.<br /> I get about 12,00-14,000 miles out of the rear; friend got 16,000 on the rear on an Ultra!
Back to Commander II’s
I really like these tires. I had Commander III’s on the rear last time. They wore very well (18,000 miles) and still had some life in them BUT they made a strange droning sound at highway speeds. (70mph) Traction was good and I ride two up and pull a trailer at times so they did well. I wasn’t risking having that sound issue again. The II’s feel great and I prefer the tread pattern more. I doubt they’ll last as long, but no droning!!! If they go 15k I’ll be happy.
Great grip, plus mileage.
This is a great tire. The 3rd one I've bought over the years, and the 2nd one I've had on my StreetGlide. I had about 17k for mileage on my last one before I changed it out, and it still had just a little life left to it. I get grip plus mileage. In my mind, a financially viable tire.
Great Tires
My 2010 HD Ultra Classic has 180,000 miles on it now, meaning I ride about 17,000 miles a year. I don't remember how many sets of Commander II's I've gone through, but... I have stayed with these tires since my first pair. <br />I've tried the other major touring brands, and in my opinion, none of them measured up to the all around quality of the Commander II's.
Great tires.
Great tires. Have made no difference in the rain as other reviews claim. Same good quality in wet or dry conditions.
Ok
They work good on my 2003 harley davidson ultra classic but it only last 7,000 miles
Like the longevity of the Commander Series <br /><br />Price was great and with low cost mounting and balance wallet friendly
Horrible wet grip
I bought these because I'm a Michelin fanboy and it had great reviews. I never liked the way they cornered but the first time I got them wet I was shocked how little grip there was, it was like riding on ice. The same thing happens when cornering over tar snakes, they immediately turn loose and I've lost all confidence in them. They have 75% tread left and I'm replacing them with American Elite
Great Tire, very good handling.
Tire handles very well; Great tip in on entry into turns inspires confidence in the twist and turns. Like tread pattern and side wall. Will definitely purchase one next go around. Good value.
I would strongly suggest this tire. I have a Michelin on the rear tire and the grip is awesome.
Great tire gets great grip in corners and thread life is wonderfulWrite
Great tires, been running them for years.
Ive used these tires on all my bikes and never had a problem. Great grip wet or dry.
Best tire for a trike,
I've averaged 3+ years on the front tire on my Harley trike. That is way more than average as trikes scrub the center of the tread. After 3+ years I chose to replace with the same tire as I had such good service. Still had several k left but I ride long dist. 2- 3 times a week. My best tire for trike.
Excellent high mileage tire
Excellent high mileage tire at a great price
Great tires!
Although my old tires had few miles on them, they were over 7 years and I felt dangerous. Washing out in corners and hard, no grip. Had these Commander tires installed after reading a ton of incredible reviews and ya wanna know - they absolutely live up to them all! Super grippy, handle corners on my V45 Supermagna with confidence, love the looks and great in the rain too! <br />Buy them, you wont regret it - ever!
Great tires
This is my second set of these tires. They are long wearing, handled great. Will buy again.
Harley softail slim s
Put 3000 miles on since last summer. It still look brand new. Excellent traction wet or dry. Im glad I replaced my Dunlap 402 with the commander II. The Dunlap 402 had poor traction and did not last long about 7000 miles.
Amazing tires!!
Wow! I put these on a 2012 Triumph Thunderbird 1700 ABS and let me tell you... For the first time, I have been blown away by the difference that a good set of tires can make in a bikes performance. Not only do they absorb the road better than any tire I've ever owned, they look great and their grip makes me more confident in the turns. These tires were recommended to me by my buddy who rides a Harley-Davidson Fatboy. He has about 13,000 miles on them and they still have tread! I don't know how long they will last me, but I do know I will order them again when it's time! Highly recommend!
Commander II's
I ride year round here in Texas, and this is my 4th Michelin Commander II that I have put on my bike. I put almost 16,000 miles on a front tire. For those who care, this is on a 2004 Harley lowrider mostly riding 2 up. These are good tires and I have had no real traction issues whatever.
Just installed these on my 2007 Road King. Love the reviews had to try.
Michelin Comm2 used on HD Trike
I purchased this tire to be used as a front tire with tread patters mounted in reverse. This gives more tire foot print on the road and utilizes the back tire engineering benefits for front tire stopping power. So far with 300+ miles the tire is rock solid in turns at 60+. Many HD triglide owners have started using this tire with good results, tread wear and tire longevity.
michelin commander 11
Highly recommend this tire. Have previously owned & the mileage was much better than any other tires I've owned. Ride comfort very good also.
It's a great tire. I use then for a long time and they are always the best time I have had and will always use them. They always are the best for their price
Be careful on wet roads
I put these on the front and rear of my Kingpin. I will say I liked everything about the tires except the grip while braking in a straight line on wet surfaced roads. I believe it is the dual compound rubber in these tires. Cornering in the rain, no problem. If you have to stop quick lots of luck. I fishtailed twice, once slowing for an exit on the interstate and once when a car slowed quickly in front of me. I nearly missed the exit and when the car slowed in front of me the rear started to slide and I had to swerve to miss it. No I did not slam on the brakes, I have been riding since 1967 and know how to ride a bike. If you never get caught in the rain these are excellent tires.
Unexpected Improvement in my Ride
So I had my local dealer install a new rear tire for me as the old one was worn.<br />As it turns out this is the best thing I have done to my bike EVER.<br />Yes I've over bored the engine and added flash and accessories before, byt the improvement in the handling of my bike is beyond any expectation I had.<br />I was expecting it to corner a little better, but it is like a different bike, I ride a Harley Electra Glide Classic and it has always handled like a touring bike as was to be expected. Now it feels more like a sport bike around the corners.<br />I highly recommend this tire to anyone who would like some improvement!<br />I am assuming the millage will be excellent according to the other reviews and specs that I have read. It is still too new for me to know first hand.
Second time around...
This is the second set I've had on my Vstar and the first gave me more than double the life of the O.E. Dunlops. Had to go for a second dance...
Great Tire
2014 Yamaha Bolt: Replaced the front stock Bridestone tire I had which was causing my bike to wobble upon deceleration. This tire resolved the wobble issue, which is what I was hoping for, since other riders have complained about this on the forums. When you put a new tire on its best to scrub it in a bit for 30 miles or so before you go hard. I got caught in the rain after leaving the shop so I can attest that the grip in the wet was no problem even with it being brand with that slick coating they have at first. All in all this is the best bang for the buck and I would purchase it again. I rock Michelin on all my vehicles from my wife's mazdaspeed3 to my Porsche Cayman S.
happy to have replaced the stockers
rear metzger lasted only 5k miles and the front was gone by 8k. hoping these michelins really do last longer. front seems to take bumps better than the stocker.
Amazing front tire
My original front tire i had on my Yamaha bolt was terrible it would shake at around 75mph. I got it check multiple times and it was balanced and tire pressure was correct it was just a bad tire. After putting this tire on my bike and riding on it for about 1,000 miles it has been night and day difference its amazing smooth riding great cornering. No complaints at all would defiantly recommend it to anybody.
Great tire for cruising/touring bikes
I went against my local HD dealer's advice and bought this Michelin tire for my 2005 XL1200C. The dealer strongly pushes the stock Dunlop's to the point where they refuse to install other tire brands that are carried in by customers! It turns out that they did me a favor as I brought the wheel and tire to a Japanese motorcycle dealer down the road and got it installed for much less... :)<br /><br />I have none of the tracking issues that I experienced with the stock Dunlop. It goes where I point it, rather than following grooves in the pavement. To my amazement turn-in is reduced coming off of exit ramps as well. I actually had to counter-steer the bike when leaning into a turn with the old tire. Feels much safer and more confidence inspiring.<br />I can't speak to how well these tires would perform on a sport bike, but I think that these tires are the way to go for cruiser crowd. I plan on replacing the rear tire with a Michelin Commander II next year. I haven't ridden the bike in the rain with the new tire yet, so I can't speak to the wet traction...
this is the tire i've been looking for
installed these tires on my road king last year, have over 6000 miles on them from a trip from texas to montana, no significant wear, handles great dry or wet conditons!<br /><br />PROS: Durable, Good Ride, Good Cornering<br /><br />BEST USES: Street Riding, Upgrade
Great Tires, Great Deal
The new Michellin Commander II tires are great looking tires and seem to be well constructed. I just got them so I can't comment to the claim of double the mileage.<br /><br />PROS: Durable, Good Ride<br /><br />BEST USES: Replacement, Street Riding
Buyer be warned
Buyer be warned I bought my rear tire August of 2025 and in may of 2026 it already started showing wire. I have about 5,000 miles on the tire so the claimed 25k by Michelin is greatly exaggerated.
Amazing Tire
These are an awesome tire and I believe that they last longer than Dunlop's. <br />I've been running the Michelin Commanders for about 10 years now on two different Harley's.
The Michelin two tires have a nice look have a Lotta grip I like everything about them. This is my fourth set on my shadow phantom. I've ridden on windy roads for over 15 years with these tires. The grip is outstanding will continue to buy. they also do very well in the rain
Highly recommend
Rides smooth great in traction in curves handles great
Older tires sold here
That's the second 2 year old tire I have bought from you according to the DOT code not thrilled as on a motorcycle there are only two tires an 2 years difference can mean life an death, not thrilled
Gotten these before, always good
Good all around tire
Ive been riding on the Commander 2 on the rear for a while now. Nice and grippy. 5k miles in and I don’t have a flat spot down the middle, not bad. Rides well in the rain. Is holding up well on the dirt road as well.
Great tire
Awesome tire and lightning fast shipping! Will definitely buy again!!
Great tires for your ride
These tires are super great. The Hog handles very well with these. They grip the road great in turns. Outstanding
Very confident tires.
Great tires. Just put 350 miles on them yesterday. Night and day difference between them and the Kenda challengers that were on my bike when I got it.
Nice tire with good milage.
Nice tire. I got 11,500 miles out of my last one.
You just can't beat Rozilla for their prices, quality merchandise, and a great customer service team!
They had my Michelin commander 3s in stock at the best price I ordered them and believe it or not they were here in a day and a half! CRAZY!!!!
Sucks on the grass, but good on the road
Weave almost gone.
Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber: So far, so good. Did notice that most of the weird weaving instabilities with the original Dunlops is gone. And I suspect that the rest of it will disappear when I change the front tire. And, yes, I will be replacing that tire with the Michelin.
Michelin impreses me
Best tires ever, don't waste money on cheap tires, you can feel the difference, especially on a touring bike.Michelin only on all off my bikes.
The best motorcycle tire on the market
This is the only motorcycle tire that I use. I have had tremendous luck with them
Solid investment
I just swapped from a set of Motoz tires to these Michelin tires on my Africa Twin. I am amazed at how quiet these tires are. On the highway the tire is very stable front and back. For long hauls and little trail riding this is the tire to go with. Very good manners with mild rain and grooved highways.
Commander II
Was never michilen fan these tires changes my opinion. Rear was commander 2 when I bought bike. This is first front. Will look forward to trying the Commander III when these need replaced.
I really like the way they make my bike handle. They feel great in cornering
New shoes
Better than I expected, got some good grip of the road. Feels smoother than the Dunlop’s that Harley always puts on
New shoes
Better than I expected, got some good grip of the road. Feels smoother than the Dunlop’s that Harley always puts on
Back tire
Shipping was quick and exactly how described looks great and after got it mounted the bike rides and handles very good would recommend to anyone that needs a good tire
Sporty Cruiser feeling
These have replaced the dunlop elite's on my 1700 Road Star. First impression was very agile, almost squirrely. Granted I was used to the squared-off dunlops. But cornering was unexpectedly easy, and at first a bit hard to find the right line. 1000m later I totally love them. Still quite agile and flickable, but either I got used to them or scrubbed in- new found love with cornering on my cruiser.
Michelin Commander II Tires
on my third year of riding on this tire and the performance is still like they are new. I ride back roads. With about 7000 miles so far. Definitely depends how you ride on them.
CJ
After browsing for tires with filtered results. The reviews of the product I purchased was a no brainer. Great website experience
Rear tire
Have not installed the tire yet.
Worth it
Good stable tire. 15k to 20k a year yet to try the 3...
Good tires & a good price
I'm very satisfied with the Michelin commander 2 tires, as good or better that the more expensive Dunlop's.
The set I have on my bike have over 18,000 miles on them. I probably could’ve got a couple thousand more. I’m sold.
125K on my 07 FXDWG, I have used a lot of different manufactures. Shinko, Dunlop, Pirelli. This is the longest lasting, best gripping wet or dry tire I have used. 1500 miles on the last one, in the Texas heat.
Great tires in all weather, wear good too, 17,000 miles on the last set.
Love the new rubber. They are awesome.
This Is My Second Commander II Rear Tire. I Got 22k Miles Out Of The Last One and Hoping For The Same Result From This One. It Has Been Sticky Enough To Grab The Corners and Cling To The Road. I Dont Feel Like I Need To Spend The Money For a Stickier Tire Because This One Appears To Be Sticky Enough To Keep Me On The Road No Matter What The Road Conditions Are.
I had only rode on harley Dunlop tires. I purchased the back tire done so well I purchased the front. Keep in mind these tires really hold up. There not racing tires. Now that I have them I love them no more 80mph in curves but 25 thousand miles on back tire I can truly see it happening
Great tire
Have always liked michelin for all my vehicles. The ride is great on my sportster. They last longer also.
grippy side down
These are some of the best tires out there!
tires got lost in transit now out of stock
First time Michelin motorcycle tire
Great grip, great water traction and great smooth ride.
Michelin Commander II Tires
I would?ve given more stars! My tire arrived way faster than I expected thanks!
Best high mileage tire
Advertised 7mm tread depth for my rear size. I measured 6.75mm with a micrometer. With 20k on it so far, my math shows 23.6k miles at min legal tread depth, 26.6k when slick in the center. This is a modified Vulcan 900 Classic with extra load from hard bags, luggage sometimes, windshield air resistance, etc. Some touring 2 up. moderate riding and avg 55 to 65 mph. It's a little slick in the wet but very manageable, and FAR better than competitors 880 and 888, which also tend to have sudden, zero warning, catastrophic tread separation from the carcass (yes, again, after they "fixed" it). I hear these are better than the Commander 3 but haven't tried those yet. I've only had a bit of sliding out when pulling out around a corner hard from a stop or hitting the rear brake a bit too hard compared to the front because I'm use to drums, not hydraulic rears.
Good
Good I like it don?t know how long they will last
Really excellent tires
These tires have great wet and dry traction, and excelle f tread life. I currently have 12500mi on my set, with a lot of tread and minimal flattening. Its my second set.
Great tires
I have tried a lot of tires over the years an these are my favorite. Trust Michelin!
Michelin Commander 2
This is my second set of Michelin Commander 2 tires. I easily get 15000 miles out of them, they handle great in wet and dry road conditions and look good too!
Commander II Tires
I would recommend these tires smooth ride
Michelin Commander 2 on Road Star.
Seems to be a good tire. It took a lot of work to balance but if it lasts as long as the last one, I'll be happy. Not sure of the mileage, was on the bike when I bought it. I put over 10k on the tire. Very pleased with the last one.
Great tires
Nice grippy tire with great tread life. Never had issues with commander II tires, have had them on my previous bikes.
Sportster
Great tires for the price been running these tires for years.
Michelin Commander II Tires
Sorry got this at the end of riding season. Had these on my last bike and liked them
Tires are great, got them early and I am happy about everything, thanks
I found exactly what I needed at a reasonable price.
Like It So Far
This tire was for my wife's bike. My first set on my bike went on about 5000 miles ago. Still look good. Installation went well. No balancing dot. After doing some research on internet best answer I could find was Michelin did use on because the tires were so close. That wasn't my experience.
2003 Harley Heritage Custom
Very good tire with exceptional traction. Hard to tell the miles you can get out of these because I ride hard on sharp curves here in the Ozark mountains and on gravel. I ride it like I stole it and still get over 6000 miles out of it. I will buy them again. They also ride very smooth on paved roads. I highly recommend these tires.
Good tires
These tires are awesome. Good grip in wet and dry conditions. Good durability also.
tires
love this tire i have been running this brand for 9 years now
Tires do not disappoint
Tires do not disappoint. After looking at many reviews and suggestions, I purchased the tires for my Electra Glide. Great ride and traction. Highly recommend these tires for any bagger or cruiser.
Long Lasting
I use Commanders because they last longer than any other tire on the market. They are well worth the price for piece of mind.
H-D Master tech
Good tire for the price I would buy them again
Great tire excellent traction and so far wearing well
Like it
Love them like riding a new bike. Nimble and smooth ride.
Great Tire
Great tire. Got 30,000 miles out of the last tire.
Tire of Choice !
Needed a new set of tires for my Indian Scout Bobber. <br />Looks great and rides awesome. <br /><br />No problems and would be more then happy to buy another set again.
Cammander 2 verses scorcher
Grip on corners appears to be the same as the scorcher That was on before. Hoping to get more than 9000 mi of easy riding the scorcher gave. So far it?s great. On 19? fat boy with 19,000 mi
Watch your dayes
Was not happy at all tire had a manufacturing date of 2018. But you don't say that when purchasing them do you......
Very great tires good quality never had any problems out of them that?s the reason why I purchased the tires again for another bike
Commander II Tires
Tires look great, bike handles like a dream and it is a big bike.(goldwing) Very pleased!
Nice
Great traction. Especially on wet roads. comfortable ride.
Commander II
They R Great!!! Handles well n wet and dry weather.
Live these tires. Great grip. Feel nice
Do not recommend
To be honest I now have a bounce and it was balanced. Harley dealership said they?ve seen it several times with this tire on the newer Fatboys. Only between 40-50 mph not before or after. Only fix is a new tire...
New Michelin?s
Went from stock Harley Tires to these. Difference is huge. Handles much better. Smoother ride as well. Look a lot better too. Very happy w them so far.
Great tires that grip any type of road in any terrain
Better Mileage from Michelin Commander 2
I've been running the factory type Dunlop tires on my FL type touring Harleys for many years and always got about 10,000 miles from the rear tires. I'm on about my fifth Michelin Commander 2 and consistently get at least 15,000 miles from the rear tires without getting to the wear bars.<br />Less wrenching, more riding. Current bike FLHTCU
Commanders
Only tire I'll put on my bike. They grip the road in all weather conditions!
Love these tires
On my second set.<br />Very good grip and wear.<br />I will buy another set like these
Retrospective Review
The Commander II is a great tire. It feels softer than the stock Dunlap that came with my bike ('16 Indian Chieftain) but lasted just as long (a little over 20,000 miles). <br />These tires are great in the rain and even when nearing the end of their useful life provided excellent grip and sure-footed feel.<br />I've moved on to the Commander III now and hope it is as good as the C2.
Long life
Good tire for a cruiser. These came stock on my 2016 Sporster Roadster. Tire life is amazingly good. Good rain traction. Tire can be pushed pretty hard as long as its got good heat built up in it. If they are cool they are good for nothing. <br />I gave it 3 starts because its only hot enough 2 months a year in Wisconsin for them to really shine
So far so good.
Can really notice the difference on my Harley Electra glide lot more grip runs good, now will just see how long they last
My favorite street tire
I used to run the Metzeler 880s on all my bikes, but have since switched to the Commander IIs. They get almost as good traction, but last longer. If I dont keep a close eye on my front tire pressure and it starts to get lower they will cup a little, but I consistent get 15-20k out of them which is considerably more than the 6-10k I used to get out of my Metzelers (although I may not ride QUITE as agressive as I get older.)
Tires are not the place to save money
If you're looking to save a buck, skip the LED engine lights or tassles. I have used all the large manufacturers on sport bikes, sport tourers, classic cafes & restomods, and big bore cruisers and Michelins always come out on top. They handle like no other, ride the rain like rails, and last for a decent amount of miles. A mere few inches of rubber separate the bike and the pavement...don't go cheap.
Best Tires for the Money!!!
These tires are unreal. I put them on my 2013 Kawasaki Vaquero and they handle so much better than the stock tires. The stock tires only got me about 9,000 miles, probably could have ridden them to 10,000 but they would have been showing the core. From what I am hearing, these tires should get 20,000 miles easily and in some cases 25,000. It's worth spending the extra money on good tires that last longer so I don't have to pay twice to have someone mount and balance tires that get half the life. Also, these tires seem to feel soft and do make my ride much quieter and smoother. Finally, the tread pattern on them are aggressive which makes me feel comfortable when riding in the rain. Highly recommend them!
Excellent tires
Excellent product quality tire good grip excellent tire life
Great tire, looks good too.
Happy with the tires so far, about 450 miles and feel like they've broken in nicely. Grip is much improved from my previous bridge stones and the tire looks nice on the bike as well.
Awesome tire
Great all around tire. Great grip and tread life.
Amazing tire combo
I feel so confident riding with these tires over Stock! The tread looks good and they're comfortable. I love 'em! Definitely will buy again when the time comes.
Fabulous tire. Love them. Theyre on a Road King. You wont be sorry
Bang For Buck
I went with the Commander II because I was tired of changing my tire so often not to mention the bang for the buck. The price is awesome!
The best tires I ever bought.
I have two Commanders on my scout. The front was installed first and it has about 6k-7k miles on it. And is nowhere near replacement. The grip is pretty good. It corners with no problems specially on the twists of Hwy 60 in north Georgia. I definitely recommend it.
GREAT TIRE NOW I CAN RIDE WITH CONFIDENCE AGAIN 100+ INTO CORNERS AN TIRE HOLDS THE LINE
Commander
Switch from Factory Dunlop to these. Too soon to compare, but felt the value, styling, and features are top notch
Best price, grip, and style
These tires are some of the best you can find for the price and the tread pattern looks like cool flames. Check around and you will see that these are rated as some of the best traction and tread life combination you can find.
Best tire I had on my bike yet the feel great
Great tire. Priced good
Love these Michelin commander ll tires. I feel the compound is much better than the Dunlop Harley D401 tires. Can actually feel the difference in the twisties running these tires.
Great tires
Got the commander 2s and a live them best tire for my budget and shipped fast. Love the way they grip (I get caught in rain often). I would recommend these tires to anyone over Dunlop for their Harley-Davidson.
Longest Life
Put these on my 2017 Fat Bob at 10,000 miles got 15,000 out of rear and so far 22,000 out of front changing it next week. I ride my bike 70 miles daily to work 28 of it is interstate. Will not put any other brand on it.
Michelin tires
I have just installed them on my 2001 Harley Davidson fat boy. Have been told by several people that they get more miles on them than other tires they have ran. Going to take them on a long ride Christmas Eve .
smooth
shouldn't review tred life as it is new<br />but smooth ride <br /> look forward to the front
Bitchin Tires
Had to have these again. They've proved their worthiness in the moto world. Ridden in cold, rain, Texas heat, twisty's - solid. Get em every time! Thanks guys, most bang fo the buck!! -Top
Great Replacement Tires
I put these on my 2017 Indian Chief Classic replacing the OEM Dunlop tires at 10K miles. The Michelin Commanders have about 500 miles on them now and feel more stable and smoother. I like them a lot and expect a bit more mileage than the Dunlop Elites.
My ride has improved with these tires
The corners just feel more controlled and the bike handles especially better. I have a Yamaha Bolt. Bought them on a recommendation and after reading reviews!
This is my second tire and you cant beat the mileage for the price.
2002 Deuce after 11K Miles on the Frt Tire
Units came quickly, date code was recent.<br />Good pricing and this is my 4th set of Michelin Commander II tires. extremely pleased with the ride, confidence and longevity.
2017 Indian RoadMaster
This tire is a great fit! Feels like we are riding on air! Great handling on curves! Just had them installed Friday and already put a couple hundred miles on them. I will update as I get more miles on them! I definitely recommend them in place of factory Dunlops Elite 3.
Great tires that look and function great
Love these new tires. I waited as long as I could to buy new tires but these were $100 less expensive than I expected and are great quality
Amazing tires
Rode these often, the performance is great on matching tread tires
MCII
Had the Michelin Commander II's put on my wife's 2017 Road King and she says that they are the best tires ever!. She has had several bikes so she is not new to riding and has a true understanding of grip during both dry and wet weather conditions. She rides almost every day and loves these tires.
Michelin Commander 2
Bought this rear tire right before a thousand mile weekend trip. Gripped the road well, gripped the few dirt roads well, hope to get 25000 miles out of it!
Good upgrade over Dunlops
Replaced a worn out set of Dunlops with a pair of these commander 2s and couldnt be happier with increase in ride comfort and performance. Bumps in the road are noticeably less pronounced with these tires.
Ride with confidence
I bought these back in May on a recommendation from a friend. I am not an avid rider but I do clock miles by the hundreds by the week back and forth to work and weekend riding for fun. <br /> Let me start with my confidence level on these tires is super high now. Scraping foot board and really getting into my turns with ease. <br /> Riding in the rain have been many days. Before I was driving the car to work now rain doesn't bother me anymore and I got caught in a few serious downpours. I will edit my review with Tread Life but for now I have already clocked about 2000 miles and the look fresh as daisies so far. <br />They recommended them to me so i can only recommend them to The next person looking to make a switch. <br /> Hope this helped you. <br />Ride safe. Ride on.
Great tire
Perfect tire for my bike. Rides good and wears great
Great tire, Good traction smooth ride
TIME WILL TELL
Just had the Commander II put on a couple of hundred miles ago so don't know a lot yet. Have noticed that cracks and tar snakes don't pull the front of my Roadglide around anything like the newTourmaster thqt wqs on there. I wasn't wanting to spend quite this much on tires but thankful I did now that it's done. rev had a fair price on them an shipping was fast. Will know more after my trip to Arkansas this next weekend.
Best Tires Ive ever bought!
I put the Michelin Commander II on my 2015 Yamaha Bolt. They hold the road very well, even in the rain. I just rode 500+ miles in the twisty hills of Kentucky and the tires gripped every turn like a champ! These are in fact the best tires i have ever ridden on! I will be putting these tires on my other bike as well.
Great Looking Tire
Not many miles on them yet but I am impressed with the grip so far. Great looking replacement to the Dunlops.
Smooth riding
Smooth riding tire. Very firm.
Great Tire
I can't really evaluate the tread life, because I haven't ran one of these down. I'm pretty confident I can rate it high though, lots of people brag about the mileage they put on these. The tires are great and as expected from Michelin, you will get a great product. Decided to install myself by I did price them at two local shops and both told me that all the other tires were dropping in price to compete with these and the Michelin Commanders were holding steady at their price. One shop described these tires as the "gold standard" of motorcycle tires. I've been happy!
Great tires
These are definitely great tires and provide a lot of grip. Definitely a major upgrade from the factory Dunlops from Harley. So far they seem to be wearing great.
Harley Roadster
I put the Commander ll tires on my 2017 Harley roadster. Im a sport bike guy and push the 12ster probably harder than it was designed for. I burned through the stock HD tires in about 3000k miles. I got the Michelins looking for some longer tread life. The day I put them on I went on a 700 mile road trip. I rode mountain twisty roads, across some desert, and through several serious downpours . The tires offered fantastic traction on the sides and in the wet. I cant speak of the life of the tire just yet but the performance is as good or better than the ads.
Michies 4 lyfe
Superior grip like no other tires. D-lops dont compare..
Ridin never felt so good
The Commander IIs feel soooooo much better than the Scorcher s they replaced. The tire shape makes turns seamless no matter how sharp the curve....love these tires!
Great tire
Got the recommendation from friends, so I gave them a shot on my Harley V-Rod. Really worked out well for me.
Good products
I purchased the commander 2 tires for my wife's Harley sportster she loves them better than the Dunlop 404 she says they grip better handle better. I have bought many products from these guys and never had any issues.
Simply the best
Heard from numerous friends that use these tire and they all sed they are the best out there and last the longest
Commander II
These tires are badass if you are a regular rider. They're not the grippiest tire so if you're in the twisties probably not the tires to go with, but they last forever. <br /><br />I just changed out my rear after 20K on it. Granted, I'm a mellow rider, but that's ALOT of miles out of a tire. I probably should've changed it out before that, but it was just touching the warning dot. I ride about 20k miles a year average and I go through two rears and a front usually.
Good tires so far
Received tires quickly, went on the bike with no issues, mechanic commented on what good tires they are. Grippy even in the rain, look significantly cooler than the scorchers. My only issue: the tire I received was already 3 years old.
Only tires I buy
I love these tires. I had them on my Dyna, my lady's Sportster, and I also have them on my SG. <br /><br />I was torn between these and the elites, ended up getting them on super sale when I had my Dyna. I was sold on them since.<br /><br />People have commented on these in the rain, I can say I have ridden in everything from sprinkles to down pours, not issues there. <br /><br />Mileage is amazing, I got around 9500 on the rear which included some spirited rides.
