Great Rain Tire
These Commander IIIs are the business for cruisers! I was originally looking at Pirelli Night Dragons for max handling, but the Commander III had the standard sizes and belted bias that H-D called for on my 2012 Dyna. The first day I had them mounted, I did a 120 mile ride in pouring rain and 47 degree temps on my favorite back roads. I started out a little cautious, but by the end of the ride I was hammering my bike in the corners as hard as I dared. I ran out of guts way before the tires ran out of grip. We'll see how the long tread life claims hold up, but they definitely excel at their job under less-than-ideal conditions.
Very happy so far
First impressions are it's a great looking tire with some seriously deep tread. I installed it by hand on the rear of my Dyna, I have an inner tube so it was easy to seat the bead. I put 280 miles on it so far in a variety of riding conditions, and it feels and performs nicely. I will be putting one on the front soon.<br />The sipes in the tread barely reach the center of the tire, so I'm not sure how it will do in rain.<br /><br />I have used some excellent tires from the OEM competing brand in the past, but I want longer tread life, so I'm hoping the CIII will deliver.
Excellent tires
I ride 8-10,000 miles a year and have gotten more that 10,000 miles on these tires.
Under no circumstances purchase these tires
Ive recently rounded off 8000 miles with a set of commander 3's on my 2014 street glide special, i can confidently say i have never been more disappointed in a set of tires. Over the years i believe ive tried every major brand on multiple bikes, through a mix of urban commuting and long distance touring. These had an odd vibration when they were new and i gave them the benefit of the doubt and believed they might just need time to wear in a little, after 8000 miles theyre going in the trash, they have been balanced multiple times, and currently have balance beads in them, still vibrate like theyre not round. i wouldnt recommend these tires to someone i didnt like. use your money buying something else and leave these alone. i will admit they have adequate grip in the rain, but aside from that i cannot think of one single redeeming quality in these tires, ill never buy another set of michelin motorcycle tires again.
Great Tire
This is my second set of Commander III Tires and I can honestly say these are way better than a set of Dunlops from the HD Factory.I have a 2017 HD Fatboy that I use for mostly touring/cruising riding. The factory Dunlops we're shot after 5k miles. I replaced them with my first set of Commander III's, I put over 15k miles on these and wore them down to the core on the rear tire, when these get to the TWI, there's no pushing it they are done! In rain, water channels off the tire well but creates a rooster tail of water off the front tire, but still maintains exceptional grip compared to factory Dunlops. The majority of the contact patch is smooth for upright riding and the rubber compound is fairly soft, I haven't noticed much in ride quality between the Michelins and the Dunlops but most of my riding occurs on Michigan roads. Alot of other reviews state that there's balancing issues and vibrations, I haven't had any issues in either of the two sets I've bought.
Defective
Tire has defect causing vibration around 45 and up
ACTUAL RANGE WAS 13,000 FOR REAR TIRE
The advertised range claims 25,000+ miles however, at 13,000 miles, the white threads are already protruding along the centerline of the rear tire. The centerline of the rear tire is beyond bald; the rubber is dangerously thin. These tires lasted about half of the advertised range.<br /><br />Wear bars are diminished as well. <br /><br />At 13,000 miles, the rear tire is now unsafe for use.
Well worth it!
Love the tires the ride quality is amazing! Gave a whole new feel to the bike
GET THESE TIRES
Best tires Ive ever had on a bike, recommend 100%
Best tires I’ve used on bikes in over 50 years of riding
These are by far the best dry/wet/ long lasting tires I’ve ever had on now my fourth set on the fourth different bike. Traction, handling and durability are a big plus for this model tire. I won’t run anything else on my cruisers. They are worth the price of admission!!!
Not as advertised.
Not as advertised!<br />The COMMANDER II was supposed to get 15K-20K miles.<br />Michelin advertised that MORE miles should be had on the new Commander III.<br />Not on my Street Glide, and I ride conservatively.<br />I got 11K + miles to the wear bar.<br />The 2 stars don't reflect RevZills, just the tires.
Overall Winner
A great upgrade from Metzler Marathon. I have 16,000 miles on my front tire now. That's twice what normally get and I still have some tread. Made in USA too.
Smooooooth and confidence inspiring.
Arrived within days of ordering ??. I put these on a 2021 Indian Scout and it rides like a completely different (better) bike! Acceleration is faster with much less threat of lost traction. But the main difference is cornering. These cruiser Commander III?s corner extremely aggressively and provide much more peace of mind than my stock Kenda?s. I highly recommend changing out your stock Kenda tires for these bad boys ASAP!
Michelin is the only manufacturer for me.
I simply love the Commander lll?s. I previously sported Commander ll?s and I thought they were great tires. I ride pretty aggressively, and those tires held up for 11,000 miles. These new Commander lll?s grab noticeably better. I?m sure some of that improvement was due to using Tire Beads for balancing, but I anticipate getting even more mileage out of these tires. If I only rode interstates or other flat straight highways, I would have chosen the Touring variant, however, I like my twisties, and switchbacks, so I went with the Cruiser variant. Michelin is the only manufacturer I feel truly comfortable with and so far, they have never let me down. I am also a huge proponent of Tire Beads for balancing the tires.
I have these on more than one bike and the mileage I get out of these tires is impressive. On my first set I got over 20,000 miles on the front and back.
Horrible Ride
The grip is great but after 1,000 miles they started riding randomly bumpy. I've now got over 3,000 miles on them and have had them rebalanced twice with virtually no effect. Sometimes it's like riding on glass and then for no discernable reason (pressure, road surface, speed, etc.) it's like they go out of round. It varies from mildly noticeable to very unpleasant and sometimes does it while cornering at speed which feels downright dangerous. Don't know if I got two defective tires or not but it happens to both the front and rear independently. Highly DO NOT recommend.
Dyna Guys Need To Read This
This is for my Dyna guys here. If you want the most grip go with the Shinko 777 but be prepared to replace 2-3 of them by the time this tire wears out. I have ran the Commander 2s in the past but didn't like how they performed under hard braking, wet roads, and when they were cold. These commander 3s are an awesome tire that I have 100% trust in when I'm ripping through the twisty roads in Arkansas. It has performed well in hot, cold and wet riding. I will be purchasing these again for my Dyna when my current set needs changed. I got a little over 8,000 miles on them and still have another 8,000 miles probably left to go and I'm an aggressive rider.
Good but tired life was terrible.
Tire is good in corners. I have them on my Scout Bobber, and I can take the mountain roads pretty quick.<br />However, I only got about 4,000 out of the front tire. <br />I got over 7,000 on the stock Perellis it came with. <br />Good tire. Just didn't last for me.
Commander III
I got these tires back in July. Rode a lot on some dry pavement handled really well Compared to the Dunlops. Just got caught in the storm of ida in North Carolina. Rode 65 miles home on the interstate running about 55-70mph. Tires handled amazing in the rain. Have about 6500 miles on them so far doesn?t look like they have any signs of wear. I don?t know the exact wear to the 32nd, but I can complain. Probably 50 to 75% was 2up.
Best tires yet!
Before these i had Michelin Commander II on my Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. I got over 17,000 miles out of them and would have gotten more if i had the pressure correct. Bike calls for 29psi, but i found at that pressure, they started cupping at around 14,000 miles. These are not the same as the OEM tires. Make sure the pressure is over 35psi. I have been running these tires at 40 psi myself and they feel great. Looks like Michelin made the rear tread thicker on the III.
Commander III
Not crazy impressed less than 40 miles and tires are pitting already. As far as grip they grip well
Amazing tires
I just put these on my Sportster 883 and fell in love with these tires. They perform aggressively in the corners and are very confidence inspiring. These were well worth the price.
Supreme.
They work as well in the battlefield as they do at the disco.
Good and bad too
Not sure how to rate this but here goes - and I was almost tempted to rate it at a 2 star. <br /><br />The tires are good BUT - after installing on a XL1200L I noticed that on the front tire there was a BIG gap between the fender and the tire. You know kinda like how dirt bike fenders sit way higher over the tire. It looks crappy. I thought maybe I'd ordered the wrong size at first. I checked and I did order the correct size but the side walls were quite a bit shorter. I'd ordered the Commander II last time. Kinda pisses me off. Guess I'll try and rig the fender - maybe slot the bracket on the fender to bring it down as much as possible.<br /><br />This was the 100/90 B19 front tire.
500 miles strong
Can't say much about life time, but so far I'm really impressed with this tire. I have great confidence on its grip and the bike mobility. I have a sportster xl883n and it is so much more nimble than with stock tires. And I've scraped pegs with confidence in the grip. We'll see how long this will last me
Great tire
Great tire, I recently had a bit of a trip in some heavy weather and basically submerged my bike. These tires did not slip! and I was going around 40mph. (Freeway was basically a 4" mud river)<br /><br />The only con I have to say, is that you will need to put in a tube in the rear tire, because it will be VERY difficult to put the tire on.
Commander III tires.
Fast delivery. Great product. I havent had them on long so not sure about the tread life, but thats what sold me on the Commander III vs the Commander II. The tread life is supposed to be longer without loss of traction.
Traction and Longevity.
The Commander III is a great tire for grip and longevity. I've tried several high quality tires on my Dyna and Street Bob and this tire is by far the best, especially for the front. Allows me to get into the corners a little bit more with ease. When Im caught in the rain it feels planted as well. They nailed the engineering on this one.
Incredible tires
Just did a 12k mile cross country loop with these tires on my 2021 Indian Scout. When I got back I replaced the rears but the fronts still looked new somehow. This was after 50 days of continuous riding in conditions varying from 45 degrees to 112, in the gravel, dirt, and plenty of rain. I hit roads like Beartooth Pass, the PCH, and the Tail of the Dragon. These tires never lost grip. Always felt planted on the road. I highly recommend them.
Not impressed
I think that the tires look awesome and grip in cornering is good, but that's where it ends. I've been through 3 sets of commander II's in 5 years loved them. Thought I'd give the commander III's a shot. Big mistake. These tires vibrate horribly between 30/50 mph when going straight. Cornering is not an issue. I took them off twice and checked the balance and no problem. I checked the Michelin website and there was a lot of bad reviews calling for a recall on these tires.
Recent purchase of michelin commander 3's
I have a 2007 harley softail custom fxstc and just recently bought a set of Michelin commander 3's which replaced a set of dunlop american Elite's . I put about 500 miles on them so far and there is no comparison between the two PERIOD!!!!! I would highly recommend these tires to anyone with a harley softail. The ride difference is like night and day between the two. Firm but soft smooth ride with exceptional performance.
Last Commander 3 for me
Have used Michelin Commanders for years. Loved the Commander 2. The Commander 3 was suppose to be an upgrade. I am on my 3rd one. It starts with a good ride but does not take to many miles to have an area in the middle with no tread cut. When it is new the cut groves in the tread does not cross the center so it doesn’t take long to have a smooth center. Will be my last purchase of the Commander 3. Will be going to a tire that gives me a safer feel. For the money they should last a lot longer.
Great tire
Great tire - really feel the difference in the curves compared to the stock rear. Scraping those floor boards!
The best
These are the best cruiser tires Ive ever had. Handling is nimble and stays good when they get worn. Wont use anything else.
These are hands down the best tire Ive evev had period
Best Tires I've Owned
I was waiting for my stock tires (Dunlop Elite 3) on my 2016 Indian Chief Darkhorse to wear down so I could get a set of Michelin Commander II's. I ended up getting a flat rear tire and was excited to get a new set. I had the Commander II's on my old bike and loved them, they were my favorite tires so far. When I went to order them, I saw that Michelin just released the Commander III's. After comparing specs between the two I went with the new 3's. I could not be happier with my decision. Both sets have great road feel and handle wet conditions with ease, but somehow Michelin was able to improve their already awesome tires in just about every way. I can't speak about the longevity of the Commander III series since I only have about 1,000 miles on them, but they look pretty new still. I got over 9,000 miles on the Commander II set before I sold that bike. So if they're anything like that, I will be happy.<br /><br />Pros:<br />Awesome road feel<br />Great grip in bad weather<br />Smooth and easy to hold a line on curves<br />Looks are subjective, but I love the way these look on my bike<br /><br />Cons:<br />The sportbike like aspects of the tires (not knobby at all) aren't the best when riding on gravel
Commander 3s
I overall really like these tires. Kinda pricy thats the only downfall. Put them on my dyna and it is a very agile tire. Immediately found I have twice the Lean comfort makes you want to put bike on an angle. Id buy them again. Only reason for 4 stars is price. Other than that I love the tires.
Don't hesitate!
In over 58 years of riding on many different brands of tires, the Commander III's are best tire ever for solid feel in corners. Never a hint of squidgy. I haven't ridden them in the rain yet. Previously had Commander II's on my '87 H-D TourGlide and got close to 20K mi. on them, (mostly touring on back roads, some super slab.) These tires are well worth the extra money!! Great job Michelin engineers, thank you!
Amazing Tire!!!
1st set of tires I've ever upgraded to is the only reason for my 4 star rating. The tires have been excellent as I've put close to 7,300 miles on them. They handle extremely well and offer great cornering traction for spirited riding. I live in a mostly drier climate but on occasional rainy days they held up perfectly fine and never made me feel as if they would slip. Would buy again 100%
Ready to Ride
Best tires in my experience!
80x90x21 Commander III Michellen
Best tire at affordable price.
Well worth it
Grippy
Haven't put many miles on them yet. I am very optimistic they will last as long as American Elites I been running. Like the look and and feel to this point
So far so good, a lot better than stock hd tire.
Great tires
The sale price was an added bonus for this great tire. Drove it over 300 miles as soon as I mounted it on my 2002 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic. Smooth and excellent grip on the curvy roads through the Ouchita mountains. Love 'em!
Love these, took out all the shake won't run anything else now
Ride experience changed..much better control on turns.
Vibration from front tire and whine on decel
Definitely still getting a vibration from the front wheel. And then I will get a whining noise at 35 when deceling. All from the front tire. Rear seems fine.
Great tire so far
I am loving this tire so far. It rides better than the Dunlop tire I have been riding on. I hope it last longer.
Great buy
Definitely tell the difference in the ride
Great tire
Great tire. Nice and sticky for a cruiser. Shipping was crazy fast. Got it in a couple days.
13K
I put these on my Indian Scout, at 13,000 miles the ply's fiber shown through. No where near the promised 25K miles. However, I like how it holds the road!
Commander2 was great, Commander3 is terrible.
I changed from Dunlop to Commander2 in 2015 on my Harley. No complaints. High mileage and nice ride. I have since moved to Commander3 and it has not been good. The bias ply belt for the rear tire was exposed in less that 18,000 miles. I typically got 22,000 on the Commander2s. I have never seen a belt exposed on any motorcycle tire. The front commander3 generates a horrible vibration and noise when the bike is not in a lean at 50 MPH. I replaced it with a Dunlop after just 7,000 miles. Michelin did not stand behind their defective front tire tread design which they have since fixed.
You get what you pay for.
A little pricey but worth it! Great performance. Feels comfortable to lean my bike a little bit more. I know its got more in it. Excellent grip for dry weather. Haven't rode in the rain with these yet. So far so good!
Good riding tire in all weather
I had ridden 10,000 miles I’m happy with this brand of tire. Still would like to try other tires to get more miles, but this tire did not dissapoint
Different than OEM
I think they look awesome!<br />The different compounds (hard center, soft side) took some getting used to. On turn in at the corners, I was unsure of grip. Then the soft compound took over and instant grip and comfort. At medium speed (35-60mph), on a flat surface, there is a high frequency vibration. I think it is a combination of hard compound and tread pattern. I haven’t had them long enough to talk about durability. I hope they last longer than the OEM Dunlops.
Hard to put on
Full disclosure: I just put these on and have driven a total of 0 miles.<br />My only feedback is that they are pretty stiff and while I was able to put the rear tire on without too much of a fight (140/90-15, reinforced), the front tire (100/90-19) made me sweat. putting it on the rim went fine, but when the time came to inflate it, it took me almost a dozen attempts with various tricks and lubricants to make it finally pop onto the bead uniformly all around the rim. For several hours it kept popping in on 80% of the circumference, and was getting pinched in one place. I finally got it, but it took a fight. The rim was clean etc...
Michelin Commander III tires have problems
I installed Commander III's on my 2020 FLHP. Tire date: 2922 Right away I noticed the front wheel has a slight vibration around 30-35 mph and it gets aggravating. Turn the front end either way and it disappears till you turn straight again. At higher speeds not so noticeable. I have 150 miles on them with HD stock wheels w stick on weights. Had the balance re-checked and perfect. Rear tire seems fine. Other riders have mentioned the same problem on these tires on JPC and DK reviews. Do not recommend this tire! Going back to the Dunlop's.
After 3000 miles i am taking them off. Terrible stability in wet weather. The rear hums at 35 mph Don't buy these.
Great tire
Excellent tire!!! I will be purchasing another when the time comes!!!!
Tire
The tires look great!!! I am very satisfied with the purchase of the product. I am mediately took a 1000 mile road trip and they have held up surpass expectations. Thank you!
Hello I HAD MICHELIN COM 2 before this these are realy nice grippie and the way they make the 2006 royalstar tou deluex is just great
Just buy it
It's all I use. I average 9k miles with the rear, and 12k miles with the front, and I carve canyons regularly. They grip and they last.
Nice tire. Should have gotten the touring version versus the cruising. Would have been nice if the info on both versions was available on the web page. Hope it lasts as long as the touring. The cruising tire makes the back end of my bike ride a little higher.
had commander 2 on bike, not enough miles yet, tire looks good, handles good.
Excellent
I love the feel of new tires. So far these are excellent. I let you know later how they last.
Good tires
Look good have good grip & not make alot of noise
Great tires
Huge improvement over stock tires on my 08 fxstc. The cornering is great, tires grip very good. Dry pavement take off, no issues at all. Depending on tread life, I will definitely stick with Michelin.
Amazing in the corners !
I liked them so much on my FXR <br />l am buying another set for my FLHTC
Best tire I ever rode on past 40 years.
I just have about 60 miles on them now. They handle really well on dry pavement, I'm waiting to see how they do in wet weather.
Hi I like tires. And I got one but not other I thAnk thy took care of and sent a tire to replace it not possible
So far so good.
Only had it on for a couple hundred miles but I like it more than the HD tire that I had. (2008 Fat Boy)<br />I don't know how long they will last so I can't rate the tread life just yet.
????10/10
Best tire I've owned by far
Nice tires!
Put about 3000 miles on the and they are a lot better than stock. Definelty have more grip in corners and seem to last longer than stock. Biggest thing I noticed is that this tires dont track the lines in the road like the stock Harley Tires. I put these on my 2015 Iron Sportster,
Great tires
New rider so I dont have much frame of reference but I think they are smooth and have plenty of traction. Think they feel better than the old, stock tires I had on there. Had them installed at the store in Manchester, CT. Took wheels off my Honda Shadow myself. Was hoping to get the tires installed while I waited but they were jammed. Gentleman who assisted me was very knowledgeable and friendly.
First set, Like so far
smooth ride and nice grip in the corners.
put em' on and enjoy the ride
Smooth ride. Outstanding traction. Good looks. Will last forever. Best tires I have ridden on for 50 years. Well worth the coast,
Time will tell
I put a set of Michelin Commander 3 tires on my 2007 Fatboy. After about 250 miles on them in the past week. Break-in was about 80 miles. They feel great! I bought them for their reported longevity. Time will tell how long they last!
5 Stars
I liked the way it holds the road.Takes turns very good
Sticky & Smooth
👍👍 🫣🏆🥳🥳🙏🙏🙏🙏
A little slick out the gate but a great ride
Great long lasting tire
This is my second set of Commander 3<br /><br />Purchased first ones June 2025<br /><br />I put 22000 miles in 10 months on it. Absolutely the best millage I've ever gotten out of a tire <br /><br />Did not even hesitate to buy again
It rides nice but needed balancing after mounting.
Amazing place
Outstanding this place is amazing the staff helped me order the right tires for my bike and when I got the tires back they mounted and balanced and emailed me when they finished up and I put them back on my bike and it rides nice.
Amazing place
Outstanding this place is amazing the staff helped me order the right tires for my bike and when I got the tires back they mounted and balanced and emailed me when they finished up and I put them back on my bike and it rides nice.
Good Handleing
Handle and hold up well on a 2006 Sportster 1200 Classic. Time will tell the mileage.
Silvia gets new tires
Great product that I buy all the time.
Best tire out there
Super sticky tires and last a while but also doesn't effect comfort on the bike.
Excellent and Expensive
Pricey but excellent!
Good running tire
I put this tire on my bike, I have got great wear on them, I have ridden in rain, sleet and snow, with no problems, they hug the road. I do have one issue with the tire and that is quick braking they do not gripping the road, the tire just skids, mainly because of the design of the tire. There is very little tread in the center of the tire, I leave a black line on the road on quick stops.
new tire
So far so good. Only 100 miles on it. but it seems to be fine
Ride experience changed..much better control on turns.
Pricey
These tires are super heavy and have thick sidewalls which means they were tough to mount and took an e treme amount of weight to balance.
Fast and easy process with my RPM membership enjoying my two day shipping.
I would definitely recommend the Michelin Commander 3 tires! It made a huge difference in how the bike holds and corners the road! Exactly what I was looking for! The look amazing too! I went with the 150 on the back of my Indian Scout Bobber and it fits perfect!
Nice looking tire.ready to see how to handles.
Haven't put it on just yet.Got a few more miles left on old one.
My new commander lll DOT date is 0324 and 3424
My new tires DOT date are 1 year old.<br />Because Michelin does not make a <br />Michelin commander lll touring 150/80/16 for my Harley Heritage, <br />I had to mix up the touring and cruise. And the cruise does not have MT90/16 .<br />I am not going to use Michelin commander lll next tire change.<br />I will use Dunlop American Elite
Good tire
Nice, grippy tire. Softer tire, so provides much needed traction when cornering.
Going the distance!
I ran the Commander II tire set and now the three series. Higher tire pressures in the 40's for most of my long distance cruising. <br />The tires look and work great on my 2005 Harley Road King.
michelins front and rear i will only buy michelins from now on!!!!
Great tire and fast free shipping
As far as the tires go they look good but haven’t mounted them yet so can’t say much else about them. I live on a budget so can’t rate the quality of the tire till I can afford to mount them.
This is about my fifth set of commanders great tires
Seems like the tread is deeper to last longer
Great tire, I'm hooked!
I've never had tires that inspire such cornering confidence! These tires are like nothing I've ridden on before. A few days after installation, I took a good 300mi ride through southern tier NY and northern PA. I was amazed at how well they rode, and how nimble they make my bike feel. They look and ride like a sport bike tire. <br /><br />Michelin knocked one out of the park with these tires. Try em out, you won't regret it. Can't comment on tread wear yet, but the Commander II wore well, so I expect the same from this tire.
Love these tires.
This is my second set of these tires. I absolutely love them. I got over 16,000 miles on my rear tire and 32,000 on my front tire. Great grip in the wet, on gravel and on wet dirt rodes.
GREAT!!
Great in wet and dry! So much better than the Scorchers!!<br />I really like that they have a real tread rather than just sand for traction.<br />I've been cautious trying them out in a downpour, but in light rain they were very connected to the asphalt - and even on the paint [at slower speed, of course].
Great service
Fast deliver, extactly as desribed, item ready to shop.
Commander 3 tires
Third set of Commander tires.<br />Great milage.
Don't know yet
Haven't mounted tire yet my fatboy is in the shop being converted into a trike...
LOTS OF GRIP
Went on a 2016 Victory Highball. I ride hard and I absolutely LOVE these tires. Had a set of Dunlop American Elites on my last highball and could spin my rear tire taking off from a light no problem. I launch HARD with these Commander 3s! If you want GRIP, go Michelin ????
Michelin Commander IIIs.
Only have about 15 miles on them so far but it was through a HEAVY rain and they were awesome.
Best tires ever.
When it comes to Michelin tires on my motorcycle, I am a repeat offender. I loved the difference Michelin tires made on my previous bike, and knew they could do the same for my latest bike.
Great tires. Worth the money
Highly recommend these tires. Ive put over 3K miles on them so far and wear is acceptable and performance is a noticeable improvement from the original Michelins. Wet weather performance is better also. They take a few minutes to warm up, but grip in the corners and straight pulls is great.
Nice tires
Tires Made in the 2022 perfect fit fast shipping.
Great tires
I have used the Michelin Commanders for a while now. They wear great and have a very good ride. I always look for these when its time to replace my tires.
Commander 3
Looks good haven't mounted it yet but if it is as good as the Commander 2 I will be very satisfied.
My third set. Great traction on wet or dry surfaces and don’t wear too excessively.
Usually stuffed with cardboard or paper to keep form. Makes it easier for guys in the shop.
Long run
Had 10,000 miles on last 3.
Bought a second time
I live in Florida great tire for the rain and cornering
easy to mount seem to handle well have to see mileage for final verdict
Used as front tire (reversed) on my Tri Glide.
Love my tires
Super riding comfort. They handle great, city and highway.
Over come problem
Rode down to Florida had a broken motor mount that did no favor to the tires. Things are good now. Second set I have had on this bike first set got great mileage out of them. Tires are good in rain and dry conditions will buy again.
Plenty of great road gripping rubber should last the wife at least a year or two
The tire seems decent but I purchased the cruiser tire which has a rounded tread face . The Touring would have been a better option and nicer profile for me . Long story short I switched the front out .
Great tires
Tires work really well. I can't wait to try them in the northwest winter.
Made it a brand new ride. I enjoy my bike again!
Using this tire since I owned the motorcycle, no complaints at all.
Michelin Commander III
Michelin commander lll on front and back. Ride and drive great. I don’t know about tread life,
Seems OK
I’ve yet to find out how it does in the rain but on dry roads, it seems fine
Great tire
Nice looking tire. Got good reviews. Only put on about a hundred miles on it since installing but seems to grip and roll down the road just fine.
Matching set now
It looks like it's mounted backwards, but after doing the research I understand why. It matches the rear perfectly. I hope it lives up to the mileage claims. So far so good.
Great tire but not cheap
Great traction and they roll over well for a cruiser tire. So far the wet reaction has been excellent but I have had minimal wet riding.
Nice Tire for the price
Great Michelin front tire I think I like it better than the Dunlop The watersheding tread is a lot better than the original tire
Awesome handling tire, for dry and wet surfaces
Awesome tires!! Tons of grip on dry AND wet roads. Definitely worth the money. I think they grip better, and just feel better than dunlops. They transition from side to side so smoothly. Love them!
Great Tires - Fastshipping!
Love these tires... Kept my old ones too long. Not smart but I'm glad to have these new ones. Cornering is a breeze
Rides and corners great. Not much siping for rain though.
Love it made for a lot smoother ride with great traction
It's like riding a new bike!
I ride a Harley Fatboy and I've been using Michelin Commanders I & II for a long time. I just installed Commander III and I'm amazed at the performance of these tires. It feels like a different bike. It rolls in and out of turns so smooth and effortless. I haven't ridden in the rain yet so I'm presuming they are at least as good as the I & II. I would highly recommend these tires to someone riding a large cruiser bike.
Mixed feelings but solid tires overall
New tires on c50 boulevard, rear tire replaced last September 2022 date code 3521, roughly 3,000 miles vs front just replaced in April 2023 date code 0522, vibrations as stated in other reviews was present, rear tire took about 500 miles to almost disappear, I expect the same for the front after putting 120 miles it's starting to settle down some with the vibrations, the great things about the tire are the grip and steering feel in the curves and on center steering on the super slab are above an beyond the factory tires I replaced Dunlop d404 rear at 5,000 miles front at 8,000 miles, wet weather traction for rear tire has been great will see on front but, expect the same results after 500 mile break in is completed, not super happy about the buzz and vibrations as stated in multiple reviews due to the prices but, honestly one of the better options with grip and mileage on a sub 600lb cruiser, if they can resolve vibrations I will purchase again, verified no issues with wheel bearings or anything else
A tire you can trust.
One of the best tires on the market. Whether you're riding with a passenger or loaded with gear, this tire can handle in all the elements. <br />A little pricey but you definitely get what you want from the control of your cruiser.<br />I would highly recommend this tire for the true road adventurer riders.
Tire's Vibration
There are too many Treads and deep, crest a bit of vibrations. And Pricy. Besides of that, so far good.
From the very beginning, when I called my order in, I made a mistake of only ordering 1 bearing. I realized that a short time later and called back. <br />Including my first call, I spoke with 3, different people..<br />If I remember their names, I would mention them.<br />OUTSTANDING customer service from the start, each CSR were professional, a pleasure to talk to.<br />They seemed to take ownership of each step,,the second person did exactly as they said they would. <br />The last lady, perfection. <br />These 3 young people need to be commended, just outstanding customer service.<br />As a former Service Manager with New Car Dealerships, this experience was duly noted, <br />Please personally thank them for me.<br />I look forward to doing more business with you in the future.<br />Kevin Attaway
Great tires, straight out the gate these tires improved my riding greatly. I couldn’t asked for a better tire. Longevity and a quality tire equals piece of mind.
Outstanding tire. Longevity and reliability are the main reasons for my purchase.
Commander II Vs Commander III Was very skeptical with the change over to the III's but I am very satisfied. They actually seem to Ride somewhat softer on the long haul. If you liked the Commander II's, the cruiser Commander III's are indeed an improvement.
I wish they made this tire available in a Touring Tire it’s still a good tire
Perfect tire. Great delivery timing..few hundred miles on it already...great price also..
Michelin Commander III rear tire
I had ride just few miles, and I can not evaluate the performance, durability and other characteristics of the tire. I will post another comment after one year of riding.
Delivery was fast up to date on Tire not too old
Came fast date on tires was great
Couldn't be more surprised with the difference in the confidence I have now in going through a corner because of how much more secure the bike feels and handles.
Commander III are Really Good Tires. Outstanding mileage from the Commander II's so I have hopes for the III's. Well made and quick delivery.
Fabulous tire . Excellent price & the fastest shipping I have ever seen !!! Thank you.
So far so good. Haven’t ridden the rain yet but I’m sure it’ll happen.

Seems like there is more meat on the road, handles pretty good in corners on a bagger. Hopefully these will last a while
Just got done breaking tires in. Tires are super stable. The grip is amazing. Highly recommend.

Commander III Touring are my go to tore for Indian Roadmaster!
Heavier construction than Dunlop elite III, well balanced - minimal weights added, Corning improved, smooooth running tire!
So far, nice ride
New tires on a motorcycle is always great. I hope these Michelins will wear as well as the ones my son has on his motorcycle. Cannot comment on tread life and wet traction at this time. I only ride this VT1100C occasionally to keep it healthy. Prefer riding my GL1800.
So far has been good.liked commander 2 expect these will be the same
Absolutely love these tires… they stick to the road and I can ride them on turns with no problem… great tires
I have used the Michelin Commander II's and absolutely loved them. Updated to the Commander III's this time, and they are even better!!!

Commander III?s 06 Sportster
I just started riding on my Commander III?s. <br />I?m getting a harmonic resonance in my front end at 35-40mph, and only at those speeds. It is concerning. Other than that they are great performers, and I?m looking forward to their longevity. I am going to contact Michelin about that felt resonance. They do handle better than my previous tires and make my bike turn noticeably quicker.
4th set averaging over 11K miles, great traction under all conditions. Only tires I'll ever buy.
Enjoying the new tire and it seems to perform better than the stock Dunlop American Elite.
Great tires so far comparable to the Commander II I think will know in a couple of weeks or couple thousand miles.
Great Tire upgrade over OEM
So far awesome tires. Can definitely feel an improvement in the handling of my bike it turns in quicker than stock tires. I can?t attest to longevity yet as I only have 200 miles on them so far.
Great tires
Great tires. Been using Michelin for years.
Lay those Miles
If you care about your bike. Buy Michelin
I’ve always liked Michelin tires for there good handling and especially for how long they last, in my opinion they are the best choice for tires in any automobiles or motorcycles
I always buy Michilins for my scooters
Amazing tire with amazing handling!
Amazing tire with amazing handling!
Arrived sooner then I was told
Got these for a Honda VTX1300C. I have only ridden them for about 50mi so far due to weather. But those were some smooth 50mi. Super sticky from what I can feel. I have tested every speed that is commonly stated to cause vibrations in the front end and I have yet to feel any. Time will tell on that issue. At this point I'm very happy with this tire.

Great experience!
New Michelin Comander III - Rear tire
After a serious research I decided to buy and install this Michelin rear tire - will take some miles to be able to write a review based on many aspects - will keep readers posted
I have always run Avon tires because they stick very well in the rain. Several friends were running the Commander ll tires and spoke highly of them so I decided to try the latest and greatest with the Commander lll. <br /><br />These are really great tires! Admittedly I'm still in the break-in phase but these tires hold well in the twisties. I didn't push them too much in the rain as they are not broken in but the performance I've gotten so far and the expected longer life tells me I might have found the tires I've been looking for! <br /><br />Try a set ... you can thank me later!
I've only put 50 miles on them so far, But the difference in the ride and handling is an incredible plus. The steering and road grip is 100% better on dry roads so far. Had them mounted & balanced at H.D., Installed myself. Great fit & looks. Highly Recommend for the Harley FATBOY S

Mostly dry weather riding so far but I like the ride, grip and braking. The rear tire balance out with a small amount of rim weights needed.
Love these tires! Awesome, Thank you
Love these tires! Thank you
Just put this on so will need to check out how it does. So far have heard excellent reports from those who have it. I have had great luck with Michelin Commander 11 and hear this one is even better. Thanks for a great product
