Great tube so far!
Gave this tube five star, because unlike my Maxxis tube, this hasn't split at the seam yet. .
Michelin has built tires since 1889 and supplies original equipment rubber for Harley-Davidson. The Commander series is developed specifically for heavyweight cruisers and baggers, where mileage and wet grip both have to hold up under load.
The Michelin Off Road/Dual Sport Tube is engineered for V-twin motorcycles that demand performance on varied terrain, from pavement to dirt. Its robust overlap splice construction provides superior strength and durability, outperforming standard butt splices. The splice is strategically positioned opposite the valve stem to maintain balance during both high-speed highway cruising and aggressive off-road riding.
For Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle riders pushing the boundaries beyond the asphalt, this Michelin Off Road/Dual Sport Tube is built to handle the challenge. The overlap splice design reinforces the tube's integrity, making it more resilient against punctures and impacts encountered in off-road conditions. This ensures that your V-twin's tires remain reliable whether you're exploring fire roads or navigating rough trails.
This Michelin tube is an essential upgrade for any V-twin owner who ventures off the beaten path. Its durable construction and balanced design mean you can ride with greater confidence, knowing your tires are supported by a tube engineered for resilience. Whether you're commuting or exploring, it provides the foundation for consistent and reliable tire performance.
What makes this tube suitable for off-road and dual-sport use?
This tube features an overlap splice, which is significantly stronger than a butt splice, providing enhanced durability and resistance to the harsh conditions encountered during off-road and dual-sport riding on V-twin motorcycles.
Will this tube fit my Harley-Davidson or Indian Motorcycle?
Yes, this Michelin tube is designed to fit V-twin motorcycles, including Harley-Davidson and Indian models. Always verify your specific tire size with our Shop by Bike tool to ensure perfect compatibility.
What is the purpose of positioning the splice opposite the valve stem?
This placement helps balance the inner tube and tire assembly during rotation, which can reduce vibration and contribute to more stable handling, especially at varying speeds and on diverse terrains.
