12k highway miles
the rear tire was replaced with .5mm left <br />the front tire still had 1mm but i decided to replace both<br />the 12k was mostly highway some street<br />im going to try the michelin commanders 2<br />hopefully i can get the 25k from this<br />i ride every weather rain and sun they do a good job but since the commanders and scorchers are the same price i would rather get the high mileage commanders because i just do highway
Best looking and performing tire for Harley period!
2012 Fatboy Lo looks insane with these tires. Get compliments on how the bike looks especially with the flat black paintwork. Strongly recommend this set of tires on anybody's Fatboy Lo. The grip is above my expectations. Have to catch myself because I'm scrapping footboards everywhere because I get overconfident with the grip LOL. Strongly recommend...enjoy!!
Coast to Coast TWICE on a VRod
Held up like a champ. Grip was impressive. Good ride, quick to come up to temp. I'm only switching to a different tire to try the Dunlop Q3 in a 240 width as an experiment. If you have a VRod, you will LOVE this tire. <br /><br />Oh, and I put 2 track days on the tire as well. Awesome cornering grip. Seriously.
Great Rear Tire !
I've ridden 1,000 miles thus far on this tire (rear 240 / 40 / 80) on my 2009 Harley Rocker. Great traction in wet & dry conditions. Look awesome, and I get lots of compliments. Will buy again.
good tire horrible wear
Unfortunately these are the only tires i can buy for my bike. Tread life on these tires is not impressive at all. My old bike i was averaging around 14.000 miles. I'm lucky to get 5.000 out of these. Your pricing compared to the dealer is awesome. Still would like to see other companies manufacture these tires for my 2018 Fat Boy special.
Grippy Tires in Curves
Ordered a replacement set for my 2011 Sportster 883XL at 7000 miles. Placed order around 10:00 AM on Friday and got them at my front door 1:00 PM Saturday morning! Impressive. Wow, what a difference these new tires made! It was noticeable in the turns and over all performance very much improved.
Have had these on my sportster 1200 sense I bought also good on wet pavement the 2-3 time my bike has seen it and always grips good in the corners even if you whack the throttle
Michelin Scrorcher 11
The price of the front tire is anywhere from $255 to $320 ish.<br />I got it here for $166 and was delivered less than 3 days! This is the original Harley Davidson signature Michelin Scorcher II that came with my 2016 V-Rod Muscle. Saved a ton and some by taking the wheel to my trusty H.D.service department who was more than happy to install it. Great tires riding in the rain especially the 240 rear. The V-Rods torque will break the rear but this tire quickly warms up and grips the road with confidence.
Great grip and ride but poor treadwear.
Handles well and grips great. The tire wear on my bike was poor. Needed replacement after 7500 miles. Bike is 2018 FatBoy. Seems common on that model. This is the only front tire that fits that bike.

These tires on a Fat BOY wear uneven. The front tire was worn on one side. Replaced with 7700 miles. Rear tire changed at 7000 and was dangerous. I replaced with same tires probably the last time I will.

Handle real well, tested them in the Georgia Mountains for 500 miles. The tires felt great and really made my V-Rod ride so good!
Good Tires But Rapid Tread Wear
Good tires for city or highway riding. Good grip, soft rubber. I've had them on since Spring 2019. That's 4 seasons of riding, approximately 10k miles. Definitely worth the money. I may stretch it for one more season, but the tread is pretty close to done. 4 stars for rapid tread wear, but waddayawant, perfection?

Perfect for powerful cruisers. I have them on my FXDRS 114. Very soft grip tires. Perfect for corners and hard acceleration. Don't expect long life. 10k miles generally. 15k if your easy on them. Appearance and performance is great. Not cheap. You get what you pay for. I cruise short rides and locally mostly. Performance is impressive on highway at triple digit speeds, I meant speed limit. Harder the tire, more likely to spin it but life for Commander 2 is 25k. I am aggressive therefore these are the only tire I run. Can't afford to drop bike. Sticky is good.

Have had all brands and models in all V-Rods and just went from Bridgestones to the Michelin Scorcher 11?s. Hands down one of the best tires I?ve rode on. These are neck and neck with Pirelli Night Dragons. Excellent turning, insane grip and ads sticky as possible, and will be replacing with the same set from now on. Can?t speak highly enough about these tires but they?re excellent (even given the short west life). All around excellent.
Must have for Harley-Davidson
08 Vrod here, and these tires look and work great. I was stuck between a tire with long life vs a tire with great grip. These are right in the middle. Enough grip that I can really lean into turns with confidence, but enough life that I dont have to replace every season.

These are the OEM tires that came on my wife's 2016 H-D XL883L. At 5,800 miles, the wear bars started showing in both front and rear tires. I have also ridden her motorcycle and can attest to the sticky grip, especially in hard rainfall and deep highway water. This being said, better tires exist with these same qualities but offer at least twice the tread life. I wish Michelin made the Commander 2's in her tire sizes, but they do not. We are going with the Bridgestone Battlecruise H50 tires, because some of claimed 15,000-18,000 miles. We will certainly provide a later review on those tires.

Best tire for Cruiser
This tire has the best grip on wet or dry pavement than any other tire I have ever found, and I ride very hard. (Old sport bike rider here) Plus, you will get more than 5K miles out of them.
Scorcher 11 let's run 'em ragged again!
What can I say it came with this tire so I have replaced with this tire. Running on a Vrod Muscle. Decent in the rain, why chance an unknown? Third rear tire on the bike I have managed to get just a little over 10,000 miles on a rear. Not bad considering what a small contact area these things have.

Nice upgrad the retains the stock look
This is a high quality, reusable filter element that adds about a half inch of surface area over the stock filter. Only downside is that the spacers do not fit tightly to the extended bolts so care is needed to ensure that the spacers remain on the bolts during installation. A little grease holds them in place to aid in installation.

If I could give -10 stars I would. Under 4000 miles on a rear tire and it is showing cords on just 1 side!! Michelin tires are absolute garbage. Not willing to warranty the tire out, total joke of a tire. Soft as hell and clearly won't last even 1 season!! Do no waste your money.

I was sent a tire manufactured 24th week of 2016.
Way better road feel than the OEM Dunlop's. Bike feels way more connected to the road and faster speeds aren't as noticeable. Don't know about wear and tear yet. Great tires so far tho!

I ordered a michelin scorcher 11 and recieved a michelin commander 2 . There is a 3 dollar difference in price so I called the number and talked to an associate. Instead of sending it back I was refunded 15 dollars back to my account to go to my tire for the rear which I purchased this past week.
Being a wider rear tire it needs to stick. Put 800 miles on this thing after putting it on, with at lease 400 of that in rain storms. Great tire even in DEEP water in ruts on the road. Will keep buying!

Good VRod tire.
I've used these tires on my Harley VRod for about 5 years. Never had any complaint. They have great traction and reasonable wear. I get about 10-12K miles on a front tire, which is quite reasonable. They stick in all conditions.

13,150 miles out of the scorcher 11 - 180 tire. Was expecting at least 15,000 miles or more based on all the other tires I’ve used in past. <br />Just put this same series scorcher back on 2018 FLFBS. Will see what the outcome is after a year or so.
