Prefer over old-style luber

I prefer this over the old-style cable luber. There's much less mess, and the chamber holds the positive pressure from the can, so it doesn't take long for the lube to work to the end of the cable.

Works well.

I didn't see the instructions in the box at first and was a little disappointed but I got it to work then I found the instructions. Its hard to tell its working but the lube was running out the bottom of the cable after use.

Works better than expected

Way cleaner than the old version... a lot more of the lube makes its way into the cable sheath, less to mop up and more lube where you want it to go

Works well if you read the instructions

Read the instructions twice. Don't believe the negative reviews, it has to be installed properly or will leak like crazy. Inserting the spray tube is easier if you cut the end at a slight angle, then leave that tube in the tool and you connect the other end to your spray lube. Once you have everything tightened, it will work better than the older "clamp style" lube tools.

Works great - easy to use

The cable luber V3 was easy to set up. Lubricant went through the cable in a couple seconds. No mess on top where the pump was attached. Kind of expensive for what it is, but it works as advertised.

Don't waste your time.

Fussed with this for 15 minutes and wasted lots of oil. I'd look for another product and pass on this one.

Never Works

I own several Motion Pro products, and picked this up to avoid the mess associated with lubing cables. Never fits right, and always leaks.

Great tool for lubing cables

I bought this tool because it locks the cable inside and so is much cleaner than other tools on the market. It's important to use the tool properly and make sure you don't get the lubricant on the tool because it makes it hard to tighten and open the tool.

Does a Good Job With Some Annoying Difficulty

The concept here is excellent and it did indeed thoroughly lube my clutch cable. My only issue is the difficulty I had trying to insert the tube into the rubber end of the plunger. The hole must be small to create a seal but getting the tube inserted is difficult. Push too hard and the tube collapses and kinks, not enough push and it doesn't insert far enough and blows back out when the aerosol rub can is activated. Once you have some lube on your fingers, gripping the tiny tube becomes very difficult. A Youtube video makes it appear easier than it really is. I did cut a diagonal at the end of the tube which created a point that was helpful in getting it started. It's annoying but works. Probably somewhat better than other cable lube devices out there.

Instructions unclear, makes a mess.

I love motion pro tools, but this gadget succeeds only in getting cable lube everywhere except for where it should be. Don't waste your pennies.
