Comfort for passenger
Put this on a 2015 Street Glide Special to provide a better ride for my wife, which it does. Changed my positioning slightly, forward and up but being 5`9` is no issue. Not the streamlined look of the stock seat but have to compromise something for comfort.
Mustang seats are quality.
I ride a 2015 Road Glide Special. I absolutely HATED this seat at first, as it was a bit difficult getting used to a slightly different seated position. A few days later, and now I can't imagine any other seat, much less how I ever sat on that stock Harley seat. I am now riding way more comfortably and more confidently. This seat sits you up about an inch, and closer to the bars about an inch, which at 5'10" and 170 lbs turns out to be perfect for me. Although this is a good looking seat, If you are worried about style over substance, and don't like a wider seat, this is not the seat for you. If you want to be comfortable, and keep the little Woman happy, this IS the seat for you. Enjoy.
Not for Street Glide or Road Glide Specials
Great seat, but looks terrible on Street Glide or Road Glide Specials. Very "fat" and very ungainly in appearance, though it sat well. Mine went back for that reason, it belongs only on the Ultras.
We have only ridden about 200 miles with the seat on our 21 Street Glide Special. First and most important, the seat most definitely raises you higher. Between 1-2 inches if I had to guess. It does change the way your feet hit the ground, changes the way you look through or over your windshield and it changes the way your handlebars feel. IT IS HIGHER. Second, the back of the driver seat hits me differently than the OEM. Just an odd spot between the tailbone and the lower back. It has a different curve to it than factory. <br /><br />Positives, when riding it feels more comfortable than the factory. For both driver and passenger. It's not a soft seat but it's not hard either. The comforts noticeable for certain. Also, we really like the looks of the black pearl and when the backrest is on it actually looks like it belongs there. Our OEM seat from Harley looked like it squished in and made the seat not look right.<br /><br />I am not certain if I would purchase this seat again but for me it's good enough to keep. I don't know what other seat I would buy, reviews are all over the place on all of them and it wasn't easy to settle on this one. I am 5'10 and weigh around 210 if that helps.
Fit and finish is top notch very comfortable if youre worried about pushing you to far forward dont I am 6 foot 220 lbs sits perfect and the best part wife is happy. Had the harly sundown butt would start hurting after 100 miles even after a break it just wasnt comfortable. This seat is awesome

Very nice seat over the bone stock one, is firm and will definitely MOVE you higher in the saddle, as much as two inches depending on your length of torso. I really did not notice much as far as moving back from the handlebars, felt the same to me, but was definitely higher up in this seat.

A Riders Seat
My wife and I put over 350 miles on it already in one Saturday. How ever the wife's seat has her sitting with line of sight over my head and the stock 11 inch windshield has less effect with wind and bugs than Harley Davidson Tallboy Hammock seat. As for me at 6ft 3 inches the Mustang Super Touring sits lower but 1.5 inches further back, with a wider stance in the buttocks. I owned a older version on my 2001 Electra Glide Classic to which I had 63,000 miles on it when I sold and other owner is still using it today.
What a difference from a stock seat, much more comfortable. I can now ride longer without my butt going numb.
Great improvement
Installed on my 2015 street glide special. The super touring regal Clears the bags with no issues. So far I've only got about 400 miles on it so the padding still a little stiff, but definitely a big improvement over stock. It does sit you back a little farther and up a little farther. With a 29 inch inseam I can still flat foot my bike but I wouldn't want the seat to be any higher due to my legs getting warm when stopped. At 6ft tall I have 14 inch kst bars and it puts my hands about even with my shoulders.

Ok for the most part. Haven't taken it on a long trip just yet due to being sent the wrong seat originally. You definitely sit higher, atleast 2 inches higher. So if you're under 5'9/5'10 be prepared to be on your tippy toes.
Seat to small for 6 foot tall people.
Seat was great, but im 6 foot tall . The seat pushed me onto my gas tank. The item discribion should say hieght ratings. Maybe it does, but i haven't found any hieght chart. I sent the seat back.

It’s comfortable, always like a mustang seat, I wish I had been more informed though, it’s 1 inch higher than my other one and makes it hard to put my feet down and I asked associate specifically

Awsome seat sits a little higher than stock 2012 FLHTCU seat but alot more comfortable for a heavier person had the same seat on my 2004 FLHTCUI and liked it so well got the same one for this bike.

I haven't had a chance to ride much since installing this seat. The weather has not been cooperating. Had a mustang seat on my Road King and was really good, I am expecting this one to be just as comfortable.

I had several Mustang seats and never disappointed. Exactly what I wanted.
The seat is comfortable wish I would have put it on years ago. Like riding on a cloud. It does sit you forward an inch which works for me. My feet were flat on the ground before and still are inspite of Seat sitting about 1/2” higher. My seat came with scratches underneath from what looked like a previous install. I could find no top side damage so I installed it. So much better is the ride.

The seat was everthing Mustang promised. One hour on the stock seat, Almost three hours in the Mustang seat. Sits a out an inch higher but worth the comfort.
Faded out to gold color from the sun after one season
Sets you back an inch or two, but definitely raises you up slightly. Took about 300 miles to break in, but was comfy out of the box for me. The wife LOVES the rear seat, so that is worth its weight in gold to not hear any complaints there.

Loving the Mustang seat! Only ridden a couple hundred miles so far, but very comfortable. Sits me a bit higher in the seat I may want to get a higher windshield because my eyes clear the windshield easily now and make it a bit awkward to duck potential road debris or cool weather in the face. <br />Seat looks exceptional in terms of looks and quality. Well worth the money!

Seat fit perfectly
Put this seat on my 09 Electra Glide Standard last year, I put around 4,000 miles on it. It looks great on the bike. My wife loved it from day one. It took me a while to get used to, due to the fact that it sits me a little higher and a little more forward (closer to the tank) than my stock seat. But all and all it is very comfortable. Nice upgrade from stock.

I like this seat. It was a huge improvement over the stock seat on my 15 Ultra Limited. Very well crafted. This is my second mustang seat on two different bikes.

Mustang Touring Seat
Very comfortable seat for the long haul but takes break in for comfort to reach maximum level. It will seat you little higher and forward than stock seat but it is definitely more comfortable for both rider and passenger. Seat works well with Harley rider back rest. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.
They added comfort as well worth the money. If you want Stahl and Confort Mustang seats are the way to go for an all day ride .
Love the seat. Better posture for longer rides and the comfort is amazing. Fit right on my 2011 street glide no problems. Glad I made the decision to buy plus my plus 1 lives it as well.

Mustang has always been my choice of seats. I put this seat on a 16 Ultra low and the fit and comfort is great. I did have to buff a small area out on gas tank because it was a little shorter than stock.
The seat is made very well and fit perfectly. My lady loves it and that's why I bought it. I like it also very comfortable and it looks great on my road King.

Be Careful this seat raises the driver up almost 2 full inches. Although well made I don't think it is comfortable for the driver. The passenger likes it.
This seat makes a difference in the ride for sure. I can go miles and miles without the wiggle.
Seat is high quality, can’t wait for my route 6 trip in the fall to try it out on a long ride.
Fits as described. Very comfortable ride. Does sit you up higher, which works for me as I have long legs. Did buy a new windshield in addition for the wind buffering I encountered. Very satisfied with the seat.
This is the most comfortable seat I’ve ever ridden on. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is it doesn’t fit well with my OEM driver backrest as advertised. It’s very difficult to get it attached, and when it does, it puts a strain on the material of the seat itself.
The sea is definitely wider and more comfortable for the passenger however there is something that we did not see in the notes when we were selecting the seat. If you have a stock windshield on your bike you may need to get a bigger windshield because this seat raises you up about an inch and a half to 2-inch which doesn't sound like a lot but it puts you just into the corona of the wind with your stock windshield so now I have to buy a new windshield if I'm going to keep this seat.

It is a nice well made seat with alot of padding. The only thing is it moves me to far forward. I fill like I am setting on top of the gas tank.
Had a Mustang seat on my Softail and bought one before I had 200 miles on my Road glide ultra. Just the best, most comfortable seat out there.
This seat is very comfortable on my 2017 road glide. The passenger portion looks too big on this particular bike. I have a Harley backrest that works just fine with this seat. Buyers definitely need to be aware that the seating position is about 2 inches higher than the stock seat.
I just bough this seat and my butt fits just right an I'm 255 lbs . but I need a back rest . And it doesn't look like I can install one with this seat .

Over the last 15 years I've had three cruisers and I've put Mustang touring seats on each one. Absolutely would not buy a bike without putting one of these seats on it. Theres no way I could put 25k miles each riding season on any stock seat.

We received this seat and put it on our bike just in time to do our first (and only) Iron Butt ride. The seat is absolutely beautiful, but I have to say that I think it is awfully hard. It looks awesome on the bike and maybe after it gets broke in some more it won't be so hard but for the money, I think it is a bit uncomfortable. We have ridden several short trips since the Iron Butt and it still seems uncomfortable even for short distances, I almost think the stock seat was better.

When replacing my FLHTCU stock seat with the new Mustang seat. The Mustang seat was approximately 1" shorter and a half inch narrower on each side at the nose than the stock seat. This left an area of the chrome console and gas tank exposed that had noticable wear marks on them left by the old seat. Just thought that when your paying this much for a seat that the fit would be a little better to cover this area. It is a very comfortable seat though.

Comfort! Comfort! Comfort! So much better than the stock OEM seat Harley puts on my 2009 Electra Glide. Now I can put some miles on and ride in comfort. No regrets !!!
This is comfortable. Hesitated on the purchase because of the price, but for long distance rides, it really made a difference. Soft, but yet firm. Better late than never.

I replaced my stock Harley seat on my 2009 Road Glide because it was too wide at the point where it meets the tank and I was bowlegged when I stopped. The mustang touring seat is a great replacement. Narrower up front where it counts. More comfortable (better padding and wider in the seat). And it was a a perfect fit. It accepts a backrest and I think I will get one of those as well.
