Fit my 2016 FLHX (Street Glide - Standard)
This back rest will keep me riding for years to come with my bad back. It installed very easily, less than 15 minutes from start to finish. It fit perfectly under the Stock seat on my 2016 Street Glide, but changed my seating position. pushed me forward about an inch and forces me to have better posture, which is good thing, it is what was expected. Though now I am up above the top of my windscreen, and now have to purchase a taller one to get my face back out of the wind again. I am very pleased with the comfort and fit of this part, I would buy it again for my next bike, just hope it comes down a little in price.
Nice backrest
I just installed the backrest on my 2016 ultra limited with a stock seat. The mustang backrest fit easily with the stock seat, and was an easy install. The instructions that mustang provides are very good. The backrest is adjustable, and while I am still getting used to it (and making adjustments), I'm sure that I'll be very happy with it. I had a mustang seat on my last harley, and it was a great seat that lasted for years.
Good Product
Good product, only negative I can possibly think of is there is a screw to adjust the hiegth of the back rest, would recomend using a knob instead of a slotted screw.

Very well made. I wish it would work on the Mustang Super Touring seat I just ordered, but it was worth it while using my 13 Ultra limited stock seat. The back support was very good.
Fits much better than the Harley one we had previously. Very easy to put on and take off.
Easy and quick install on my 2017 Roadglide Special. Looks and feels great. One thing I didn't expect, is that it folds down. Which makes it easier to get on and off your bike. The only complaint I have is I wish I had bought it sooner.
Great versatile rider backrest.
This backrest works great with the Mustang touring seat that I bought. It is extremely versatile in adjustment. The ability to fold flat is great so I dont have to try to swing my leg over it. I wouldnt be able to ride without it because of my back problems.

I was in crash last August, broke my spine, pelvis, arm, etc. Doctors put me back together & I started physical rehab; bought a 16 FLHX, got this backrest today, 20 minute install and what an incredible difference, great support and it's adjustable

Just what I was looking for.
I bought this for a trip from MN to WY, and I am very very glad I did!!! The adjustment knob is easy to adjust for increased or decreased support, even while your moving. The up and down adjustment let's you zero in on where you want the support (you can't do this while your moving though.) I have always found Mustang products to be of good value price wise and quality wise, this is no exception. I love it.

Great add to my 13' Road King. Modifying my regular seat for post to come through and using the old stock seat but 2 good rides (200 to 300 miles) on 2 weekends and back felt great after both. Easy install, only took 10 minutes. Highly recommend

It fits stock seats. Nice quality and its wide. <br />It terms of looks, in my opinion it doesn't look very nice because of the size .. but if you don't care about the look and looking for comfort then it does the job.<br />I want a balance of comfort and style therefore this will be only when i am going on a very long ride.

Love the backrest I've had the chance to use it a couple of times and it really helps my bad back. When it was discovered that a bracket was missing the part was sent next day air to California.

love It. Easiest install for anything Ive mounted to my 2017 ultra classic yet. <br />Front attachment uses the battery cover bolts and the back uses the fender nuts, easy and I love the seat back. Ill update again after my next trip in 2 weeks <br />Only concern I have is the Knurled nut on the seat back adjustment might begin to wear on the seat over time.
Why did I wait so long....
Have a 2011 Harley FLHTK with the stock seat. This fit perfectly and the install was lest than 10 minutes including getting my tools out. Adjusts up or down easily and angle against your back with a thumb screw. Will tilt forward flat to make it easy to swing a leg over. The nice thing is the stitching exactly matches the stock Harley seat and for almost half the price, I used to slouch after a while and back would hurt after a long ride, no more. I sit straight and have great support. It feels like it move you forward a little but you are just keeping your back straight so Im a bit closer to the bars. Great product.
Driver backrest is a great addition to the seat. It gives you the back support you need for long rides.

Perfect fit and comfort
I've been riding for just over 6 years without a driver backrest. After reading a review I decided to purchase one from Mustang (matching my seat and passenger backrest. I never imagined how different my ride could be. I feel more in control of the bike, my posture is different with a notifiable lack of back fatigue after long trips.<br />I'd recommend a backrest to those long distance riders. I've always been a fan of Mustang, quality product which lasts.
It's a great comfort for my back, and makes the ride far more enjoyable. However, there needs to be an improvement in the means to adequately lock the rest at ones preferred height.

I have an old back injury. Riding without a back rest was uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. With this backrest I rode for over an hour without getting back a backache. It made for a much more enjoyable ride.
Fit, installation, and function is great. Price is extreme and I didn't get notification of shipping. But, I knew the price up front and it was a welcome surprise when it arrived.

Very comfortable. Adjusts easy. Was slipping down during ride, but there is an adjusting screw and I tightened it and has not slipped since.

This backrest has done WONDERS for the ride on my Ultra. It gives me plenty of Lumbar support & keeps me seated in the proper postion.
i had to turn the adjuster screw around backwards to mke the backrest come close to my back other than that its great
Matches my stock seat perfectly and it took a whole 5 minutes to install and that includes reading the directions

Works way better then the HD backrest, easier to remove and is more comfortable with more fore and aft adjustment. This is the third Mustang I've bought and as always good quality.
