For those days when you just don't want to stop.

I spend more time in the saddle than anyone I know with over 22,000 miles in the last 6 months, so I think I can offer up a decent review.

Bang for the buck: dropping this kind of coin on something that's vinyl covered is not optimal. If it were covered in some exotic animal hide, I'd understand the cost over 6 C-notes for the saddle and proprietary backrest. It's a tad spendy IMO. Just about all manufacturers are charging the same ballpark figure though, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Features/Comfort: It's wide, providing plenty of room stretch out on for those 500 mile days. It is more than a little hard the first few thousand miles, but you adjust or it loses some of it's stiffness. Either way, it doesn't feel like riding on a board anymore.

Your Pillion rider will love you long time after spending time on this one. It is also wider and provides more cushion against impacts on delicate parts. My wife loves it.

For the taller riders (whom I imagine this seat is aimed at), While you DO get moved back a bit, you also get moved UP. Good for your legs to not be bent up so much, but not so good for your brain carrier. Prepare to possibly also go buy another windshield/screen if over 6'3". The windshield on my '15 FLHR now stops about 2" under my chin. The head buffeting is positively BRUTAL at highway speed. An hour of having my brains shaken like a can of paint getting mixed at Lowes isn't fun. Consider it a possible unintended consequence and plan appropriately.

Style: Good lines, nothing special covering it though. Nothing exceptional here.

Installation: It's a Harley seat. If it takes you more than 30 seconds to install, you're doing it wrong. See Lemmy's most excellent video here if you don't know how to swap one out.

Fit and finish is tight and this is where you definitely get your money's worth. No loose seams or stitching, and everything was perfectly assembled.

Durability: I can't rate it fully with a clear conscience for another 6 months. It's held up perfectly so far, but I'd like to see how it stands up to a year of Florida sun day after day.

Those are my thoughts as a rider for the Mustang Summit Tour seat.

Summit Seat for 2018 Road King

This is my second Mustang seat and very happy with their product. Seat comfort is, of course, very subjective, but for me the stock H-D seat put me to far forward and I kept trying to push seating rearward. The Summit seat fits my 5'10'' frame perfectly. The seat is just a little more firm than stock, which is my preference. The mustand seat does position you a little further back from the gas tank as promised and you sit a little higher which is perfect to look over instead of through the stock Road King windshield. I could not be any happier with this purchase.

Doesnt move you back at all on a Street Glide S 2016

The seat is very nice looking, but overall a little disappointed. I want to move back a couple of inches. but after mounting and testing, I found it 16 inches just like my stock seat.
Looks are 100% fits nicely around the bag latches and just a great looking seat.
Comfort 80% I ride couple of hundred miles on weekends, started out ok, but I am back to my gel pad.
Got what I wanted 0%, did not move me back at all..
If you don't want to move back and want a great looking seat for the Street glide this is it.

Awesome product

Just installed this seat on my 2016 Road Glide Ultra. Hugh difference on those 8 hour rides. No more sore bottom from sitting in the saddle too long. Highly recommend this for any long range riders.

Excellent seat for Harley Touring!

I am a big fan of Mustang seats now! This makes two of their seats I have on my bikes now. This seat surprised me how well it fits, much better than factory! The only thing you’ll have to be aware of is you will have to do some buffing because this seat sits up off the bodywork nicely whereas the stock seat sat on the tank, fender, and side covers so they are highly scuffed. This is a good thing though because the paint will no longer be worn through. The saddle on this Mustang seat is everything I hoped it would be and more! Not too wide, too hard or too soft. Great choice for newer Harley touring bikes!

Looks killer on my FLHR!

Raised my butt and center of gravity noticeably. Wider leg stance but can still flatfoot. No longer smashing the goods on the tank. I am 6' & 190 lb. Will require normal tweaking of highway pegs and handlebars for new position. Guaranteed, I'll break in before the seat breaks in. Seat is firm but supportive. Looks killer on my FHLR!
