Great upgrade from factory!
A lot more cushion than factory seat. I'm a big guy at 6'1" 350, so I felt every bump with the factory seat. This seat absorbs a lot of those bumps and allows for a lot smoother ride. It does push you forward a little farther with the extra cushion. All in all, well worth the investment.
Excellent replacement for the OEM
Excellent option as replacement of my Indian Scout 2015 OEM seat. Ive ride with the mustang seat for 3 months now and the pains that I had with the original seat are gone.
The Mustang seat leather shade is similar to the original one and the overall quality of the product is great.
With the OEM i was unable to ride more than 3 hours, with this new seat I've riding the whole day several times now.
it's a improvement over the stock seat. More comfortable for longer rides but it does feel like it pushes you a inch or two forward.
Soaf King comfortable!
Huge upgrade from stock! The stock seat is too soft and squishy giving very poor support which is painful to ride for extended periods of time. The seat pan is made of plastic and flexes so much while riding that you can feel the seat shift slightly from left to right. The stock seat's leather is also showing signs of wear from only 6 months of riding.

I love my new Mustang seat! It has improved my riding enjoyment tremendously. The seat's foam is firm and very supportive. It gives just enough to avoid painful pressure points. Other reviews say the seat moves them forward but mine does not. It does raise me up maybe an inch since the seat padding is thicker over stock. The seat pan is ridged making a solid and stable connection. That connection with my bike is a pleasant feeling I didn't realize I was missing.

The backrest is new to me and the only thing that could be better. I'm 5'10" and with the backrest midway high and adjusted completely forward I can barely make contact with it. When I set it as low as possible the lowest part of my back makes better contact with it and it does make riding more comfortable and relaxed but I may need something to wedge the backrest forward or get new handle bars with longer pullback to really benefit from the backrest.

I chose the black all vinyl option so it should have better durability over leather. I did have the chance to see the leather version with studs and I'd recommend the all vinyl option without studs. The studs weren't shiny and had an antique or used look about them. I wasn't impressed with the leather either.

The Mustang seat looks better in person, build quality is absolutely professional and it feels amazing going down the road. Get rid of the stock seat. Stock looks great but it's an awful seat. Mustang all the way!
Exactly what i needed at the right price
I'm a new rider, 6'2", 250#. I've had back problems in the past - ruptured discs - and the stock saddle on my Indian Scout was killing my back. This is my first bike, and i was afraid the low back pain i was getting after just 30 minutes of riding was going to cut my riding short before i had a chance to get good. This saddle seems to have completely solved the problem. Instead of having a 'mushy' and indefinite location for my butt, this feels firm, and gives me a well-defined location for my butt, and angle for my hips. The back rest is pretty minimal, but gives just enough support to keep me in a comfortable position.

I took my first ride with it today from north Georgia into Atlanta and back, with each leg taking about 1:15, and had no low back pain at all. I love it, and would highly recommend it.
Big upgrade in comfort
Got this seat for my Wife's 2016 Indian Scout: a big upgrade in comfort and support; she loves it. Plus, the thicker padding brings her about 2inches closer to the forward controls, which was a huge improvement in relaxed rider position (plus moved her thigh area further from the rear cylinder head, that was burning her leg). Multiple problems solved!

NOTE: for install, it is easy if you do not have the rack and Indian backrest accessories already added. If you do, then you will need to remove the Indian Backrest (prevents seat from latching in) and it still took three 1/4" washers to shim the mounting post up to allow both the rack frame mount and catch the seat latch.
Did Not Fit
I purchased this for my 2017 Burgundy metallic Indian Scout. The seat did not fit from the start. The mounting bracket, provided on the rear, was concave and would not properly attach to the rear grommet. I'm not sure how the seat made it to me when it was not properly fitted. Buyers beware.
Get One Fast!
The original scout seat is woefully inadequate. Mustang has build a higher grade seat with better foam to better suit the quality of the bike. The seat is grippier and does lift you up and forward a little more which for me gives me better control.
Takes about 300Kms to break in the seat and then its magic.
Worth every penny!
Mustang scout seat mediocrity
I cant speak to the durability of this seat except to say that the stitches have held up in the month I have had it. I think it looks well built if it is the seat you are looking for. First impression when I got the seat was that it is visibly larger (hopefully it will flatten out over time). Honestly, it looks a bit goofy as they went with the original Indian seat styling and just made it bigger. The seat fabric does not have a very cool leather look like the original either, if thats important to you. The portion that is raised in the back still digs into me and I always find myself trying to move forward on the seat while I ride. This was the main reason I wanted a new seat to begin with. I have a luggage rack that does not get in the way of the stock seat removal and installation, but the Mustang seat would not fit because it is too awkward and padded. I had to bend the lips of the seat mounting plate with channel locks in order to mash and slide it into place. Overall, it is a more comfortable seat than stock, doesnt look as good, and from my perspective aint cheap, although it is cheaper than others on the market. It seems by the time I am done getting this bike to an acceptable riding standard, I will have enough original parts to build another bike. The cost of all these parts gets pretty depressing especially when they dont fit well and take away from the cool look the bike had in the show room. They say hind sight is 20/20, but I dont know of a whole lot of bikes that come with great seats. Problem is you either pay top dollar for a bike that comes perfect or you spend top dollar trying to get there and never quite arrive.
Worth every penny!
The solo seat on my new 2019 Scout Sixty was awesome to look at but ridiculously uncomfortable. After 20 minutes I found myself lifting myself off the seat and constantly trying to adjust to take away the uncomfortable and sometimes painful pressure. So I decided to give this a try and it is like night and day! I ride in comfort now! The seat does raise you up and forward about an inch, but did not affect my riding. LOVE this seat. I would buy it again....and it looks great!
Sooo much better than stock seat
This is a huge upgrade to the stock seat. It may not be a Corbin or Sargent seat, but it is damn close and for a lot less money. The extra cushion and back lip puts you a little more forward, but I am 59 so this is not an issue. Highly recommend this upgrade.
Great seat for Scout
OEM seat was staring to numb my A$$ after 1 season so off it went. This is my 3rd mustang seat upgrade over the years and it didnt dissapoint. Quality workmanship, nice look, and very very comfortable (no more numbing). It does feel a bit stiff at first but break in after approx 100 miles so no issues. Install was a bit tricky due to Paladin luggage rack but nothing major, just a bit on the tight side. The seat is a bit larger and higher than OEM so riding position is altered by about 1 in higher and probably 1 or 2 inches forward, not too bad IMHO . Bike maintajns good looks and clean lines so that is the important part.
So much better than the factory seat
Like the heading says! The Indian scout sixty factory seat is horrible..lol I mean it looks nice but it's not nice to your rump. The mustang seat is a HUGE upgrade. In my opinion your rear will thank you.
Nice Seat
I purchased this seat a while ago for my '17 scout sixty. The parts it came with were not the right size for my bike so i had to go to the hardware store and make some modifications. it is very difficult to put on remove this seat from my bike but when its on, its not going anywhere. Besides that it is extremely comfortable and looks pretty good. I recommend this seat i think i just got the wrong screws with mine.
Only seat that won't give you a sore ass.
Good seat. All I use. Best seat for suspension.
Being an older rider this seat is a game changer for me. #1 awesome rump comfort and good back support. Its fits my 19 Scout Bobber just fine !
This is an amazing seat My butt doesn't get tired and I can ride for hours. Highly recommended
Comfy seat
Way better than the stock seat. Price should be lower than other mustang seats because it's a lot smaller therefore less materials used.
Great seat for the uncomfortable Scout OEM
Seat arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. Comes with a rain cover if you need one. Installation wasnt hard or anything you just slip the OEM seat off and slip this one on. Might have to press down on the seat to get it to slide on. For the money its a huge improvement over stock that doesnt break the bank.
Great style and comfort
Although a bit on the expensive side I appreciate the comfort and style of my Mustang Indian solo seat. I hope it's durable
Worthwhile upgrade from stock seat
This is an excellent seat, and is substantially more comfortable than the stock seat. I've had mine for about 5 years now. The seat foam is still good and the cover shows almost no wear or fading, after about 25k miles of use. I did have to shim the seat post about half an inch to make fitting it easier.
Seat is great! Easy to install.arrived quick.
No parts
Didn’t come with the fastening hardware to mount to the bike like i was told it would
Mustang scout seat
Makes long rides doable. Bit pricey.
Definitely more comfortable than the stock passenger seat. Looks better, too.
Comfortable seat
Fits the Indian Scout nice. But had to modify to use with my solo rack.
A must change
Have to say it, indian oem seats are literally a pain in the a**. Mustang seat comfort is at another level, had a ine day 800 km (500 mi) trip last year, and the seat was the best.
Fitting is a little bit complicated because is thight, but i totally recommend it.
A lot more comfortable then the stock seat, I have had several mustang seats and never had any issues, I would recommend
Comfortable mid-range aftermarket seat
This seat is a little more comfortable than the factory seat. Its reasonably priced and not going to break the bank. Its a nice seat for a cruiser.
Don't have the bike ready yet; But seat is very well made, and it should be a heck of a lot better than the orignal.
Bought this seat to replace the factory seat for my Indian Scout, which was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. I haven’t taken thus new seat on a long ride yet but it definitely feels a lot better, wider and more ergonomic. The back rest is a great upgrade for me. It was easy to install. The material is vinyl and some leather, color is a good match to my Indian leather saddles, although not exactly the same, but not enough tone difference to bother me.
Only more riding will tell if it stands to my expectations but so far I am very happy with the purchase. It arrived super fast too!
4 Stars
I could not believe the difference after switching this seat out from my stock. My rear end has never felt better on longer rides. Because my seat is more comfortable my posture is maintained as well. Overall, if you’re hesitant on getting this seat, don’t be! Best investment I’ve made to my 2018 Indian scout so far.
Great product. Excellent order processing and shipment.
Good fit look’s good screws that came with it not even close to being the right size had to use bolts from stock seat
Look’s good feels much better than stock seat had to shim rear seat post with a washer to get it to fit right
10 times better than original seat.Great seat.Wish it was full leather. Not a perfect fit but after a little work got it to fit
A large step up from the OEM seat. Nice construction and finish.
