Do Yourself A Favor, Buy This Seat
I bought this seat in the black vinyl with the diamond stitch for my 2011 HD Dyna Street Bob. It is an extraordinarily high quality piece. The seat really adds to the bobber look. It is very comfortable. 100 mile jaunts are of no consequence. It seems to be very durable. I was considering three options for my Street Bob. It was between this seat (Mustange Wide Tripper Solo), the Mustang Tripper Solo, and the Le Pera Bare Bones. I know the Tripper solo is obviously not as wide as the Wide Tripper Solo. I can say the Wide Tripper is PERFECT for the Dyna style. I think the Tripper Solo might be too narrow, that it might expose some of the undersea bits of the motorcycle. The Wide Tripper is not really wide or narrow. It's an in between that works perfectly for my needs. For reference, I am 5' 10" tall with an average leg length and athletic build. My bike is equipped with mid controls. This seat really adds to the comfort level of the bike. It even makes me feel more planted in turns. Plus, you really cannot get onto a better looking saddle. I mean, that Le Pera Bare Bones looks sick. There is no doubt about it, but I am glad I went with the Mustang Wide Tripper. I will be a Mustang customer for a long while.
Both solo seat and passenger pillion are excellent!
The stock seat on the Harley had to go, so after reading up on a few reviews and forums, I went with this Mustang seat and I'm really glad I did! The real drive for getting a new seat came from my wife's extreme displeasure with the stock "brick" on the Dyna. I went with the solo + passenger configuration because I love the solo seat look when it's just me. I also really liked the diamond stitch pattern and low-profile.<br /><br />My wife LOVES the new pillion seat and I really like the construction of the solo. There's a specific "pocket" area to this seat that allows me to ride for hours without any real discomfort. The vinyl covering is very well constructed, and the padding on the solo is just enough to provide comfort but still not look like a couch cushion on the bike. The pillion is more couch cushion looking, but is extremely comfortable. <br /><br />A few things to consider with this seat - there's a lot less to this saddle than the stock one. It really follows the lines of the bike well, but does drop you down just a bit from the stock seat. There's no negative to this, in my opinion, as it is 100x more comfortable than the stock seat, but it does change your riding position just slightly. I'm 6'3" and have no complaints at all about this, but just be aware of it. <br /><br />The fitment on my Dyna wasn't just exactly perfect. The tab for the seat screw wasn't flush with the fender and required a small amount of pressure to get the seat bolt into the nut, but after I cinched it down, the tab bent with the pressure and now fits fine. I had this same issue on the pillion seat as well. I used the stock bolt to again cinch the tab down to the fender and then I was able to replace it with a thumb screw for easy removal. Again, none of this was a problem and I'm unsure if this is actually intended by Mustang. Nor did it make me feel like there was a quality issue, it just required a little finessing.
Seat looks great but leaves room for improvement
As a larger male (275+) this saddle leaves much to be desired. I would only place this marginally better than stock as far a comfort. The saddle really thins out in the front which may be good for some but really makes me wish there was a little more padding. My inner thigh gets really hot due to the lack of padding which positions my thigh nearer to the rocker covers.<br /><br />The marine grade vinyl feels great to the touch but has a little too much grip while I'm wearing jeans. It becomes very hard for me to "re-adjust" mid ride. The saddle dropped me down about 1" which I liked but I have to sit closer to the tank because the rear of the seat is really hard.<br /><br />I experience some numbness in my rear end right around an hour into the ride. If i stand on the peg for a second it goes away but i have to wiggle around for the next few moments to find a comfortable position again.The appearance of the diamond stitched seat is great, minus the large mustang logo at the tank.<br /><br />I really want to find that saddle that carries the lines and look of the bike well but also is really comfortable, my search isn't over yet.
Finally spent the money, apparently when it comes to seats you get what you pay for. This is more comfortable than stock for sure and finish seems to be real quality. I feel like Im in complete control and not sliding off. Im held in place and I can ride quite a while before I need to stretch and this thing isnt even broken in yet. Havent found a downside. Doesnt significantly move my seating position but the comfort level is great. Im 5 11 200 lbs on a low rider with forward controls.
What I was looking for!
The stock seat for the 2015 Switch-Back was too soft and uncomfortable after 50 miles. Really missed the seat on my Fat-Boy. A good firm saddle for laying down the miles. This Wide-Tripper by Mustang fits the bill for my wife and I as far as comfort and style go, I'll get back to you on durability! Would recommend this seat to anyone who needs firm support for those long rides and classic style for blowing around town.
Mustang seat for a 2014 Wide Glide
Stock seat was super uncomfortable. Sore after an hour of riding. New Mustang seat changed that dramatically. Like night n day. Worth it!
AWesome seat
Arrived quick. It was a breeze to put on. Instructions were simple. Seat looks fantastic. Fit and finish is spot on. It seems like a much more quality build than the Harley seat its replacing. I would order it again in a heartbeat!
Awesome seat
A week after purchasing this seat, I rode 1500 miles to Laughlin and back. Seat was amazing. Only thing I wish I had done differently is purchased the version with the removable back rest that mustang offers. <br /><br />Seat was a little snug fitting but with a little pressure I was able to get the screw to start. I did take a little of the plastic on the underside off so it isn't as tight fitting and doesn't rub on my rear fender.

The Mustang seat was the usual high quality you expect when buying their products. I bought this for an 09 Harley Fat Bob to help my wife reach the forward controls better. It comes with the fender nut so that saves the time searching for one. I highly recommend Mustang products.
Comfortable and fit perfect. The back rest was unexpectedly awesome. It is lower than the factory seat and the back rest not only gives extra support but really keeps you planted on hard excel, also gives some leverage when backing up. Great product.!
Well made high quality product. It took me 5 minutes to switch out the new seat. With a 31 " inseam length I needed to move myself closer to the controls on my FXDWG. As soon as I sat on it I knew I had made the right choice for my needs. Did the trick, feels safe and comfortable. JP rules.
Was debating on a lower profile seat for looks but after reading all the reviews on how painful they were after long rides and sooooo glad i went with Mustang Wide Tripper very comfortable on long rides and looks great.

Would definitely recommend this seat. Fit and finish are excellent, comfort level is acceptable. Gives the 09 Fat Bob a much better look and doesn't drastically change the riding position. Feels a bit better when cornering.
Comfort is the key
Much better than that mushy stock seat. The diamond stitching and Fitment is top notch. My custom Street Bob gets ridden to every show, so this seat is perfect for the long haul.
Not very durable first ride the leather is bending funny
It looks great but first of all on the smooth finish theres a very ugly ''Mustang'' logo about where your crotch is on the seat and its hard to see in the pictures and doesnt look good. The seat after a first ride has a weird lined crease near the front thats extremely noticeable and very surprising.. Not pleased by that which is why im giving a lower rating other than those two things so far it seems great although i expected a bit more cushion
Incredible seat
I was somewhat skeptical how comfortable this Mustang seat might be given how thin it is and I need to be able to ride long multi state rides. I got this in diamond stitch and it's perfect. Looks awesome and is really comfortable. Did 400 miles in one day with no problems. You do sit slightly lower than stock. And the rear of the seat actually holds you better than I expected, somewhat curved up to give you some support. And don't be misled by the wide part. It's not wide compared to stock, still more narrow, but is wider than the other Mustang seat that was way too narrow. My thighs actually rested on the battery cover with that one. This wide one is the one to get.

Did the solo seat awhile ago and just added the passenger pad to match. TYhe main seat has 1000+ miles on it and it is a massive upgrade over the stock seat.

Brown diamond stich for 2010 fxdc
looks great on bike, definitely firmer than stock seat. Sits you lower and further back on the bike. Haven't had a chance to ride yet due to recent surgery, but I think I'm going to love it.

I really like this solo seat. Easy install on my 2010 FXDC The brown on the vivid black looks great. Then I added the Motherwell chrome solo seat rack to it and it REALLY looks great. My buds just could not believe that just a brown solo seat and fender rack would make a great looking bike look even better!
Quality finish, stitching is beautiful. Really changed the look of my ride. I'm on the shorter side, so I love how narrow this is.

Finish and quality of the construction are on point. The fit could be a little better. Had a hard time getting the rear mounting tab to line up with the mounting nut in the fender. This seat is not designed to fit with a stock driver seat. Overall I'm very pleased with this product, very comfortable and looks great.

Great looking and comfortable. Did not fit my 2014 FXDB correctly, I had to bend the mounting tabs so it wouldn't be gouged by the tank bolt tongues. Almost 5 days now and haven't heard back from Mustang customer service.

One of the most comfortable seats of all time, only slight problem was fitting the rear pad, had to apply a lot of forward pressure and bend the rear tab down slightly to secure the rear nut.
I had waited for a few years before ordering this rear pad and finally pulled the trigger. Top quality and a very well put together pad as expected from mustang, although the fit is extremely tight and I had to even gently bend the rear tab down a little to secure it correctly.
Better than stock seat but pushes you up too close to the gas tank. Makes the groin area uncomfortable and in my opinion the low area of the seat is too narrow and to tight.<br />Wish I had gone with the wider seat. Im 5'10, normal height and found the seat to be somewhat lacking. The back rest is awesome, especially with its adjustability.
Easy installation, however the contour of the seat base leaves the rear attachment tab elevated about 1/2" and requires a good stiff push to get it down over the screw receiver simultaneously while trying to start the screw. The seat itself positions the rider further forward toward the tankby about 1-2", depending on your physical make up. I have a good riding buddy who has the same seat on his H.D., different model, and had exactly the same result. It just requires some readjustment in terms of foot position, etc. A little bothersome, and it's why I rated it down one star. Mustang needs to look at the design. Otherwise, comfortable, and I love the backrest for distance riding.

getting better while breaking in each ride
Beautiful seat, well made, fits correctly and easy to install. I had one on my previous bike which was worlds better than stock. This one is on my 2017 street bob and feels way more stiff out of the box. At first it was no better than stock in comfort but seems to be improving each ride. I am sure it will work out to be an awesome replacement for the stock brick.

Great craftsmanship on this seat. With the backrest in you can ride comfortably all day. Without the backrest, it was fine for short trips or bar hoping but for anything longer I needed the backrest.

Picked this seat up for my 2010 Street Bob. As with all seat swaps, it was easy to install. The brown with diamond stitching looks great and it holds me in place much better than the stock HD seat. Havent been on any long rides, just around town, but it is worlds more comfortable and confidence inspiring as it keep you in place on the bike. Love it!
Mustang Wide Tripper Solo Seat
Great reviews led me to try the Mustang Wide Tripper Solo Seat on my 2016 FXDB. Easy to install and looks FANTASTIC! BUT - - My butte hated it. I was maybe 45 minutes into my ride and had to stop. Less then half the time I could spend it the stock Harley saddle. Fit and finish quality are excellent. This is a fantastic product that just didn't work for me. Don't be afraid to give it a try. My butte is in the minority.
I'm very happy with this seat. It's wider than the stock two-up I had on my Fat Bob and more comfortable. Looking forward to adding the passenger counterpart.

I'm actually on my second Mustang Wide Tripper with Diamond stitching. My first served me well over 2 years and 60,000km.<br /><br />I'm a heavy rider and this seat never let me down be it on my 160km daily commute or on longer trips with 1000+ km traveled.<br /><br />I only looked to replace it because I added the pillion seat and the difference was noticeable in the condition of the leather.<br /><br />Shipping was super fast and my face and butt are now smiling.

great seat! put on 2013 wide glide. with the back rest you will set a little closer up. with out it it is normal or a little further back than the stock seat. I love it either way! put 400 miles on it so far.

I ride a dyna streetbob and this seat fit just perfect. It was a little hard to put the spacer in other than that it was easy. The seat made riding so comfortable that on my test drive I got carried away and kept going. The miles just flew by I didn't want to get off. The best seat I have ever had.

Very poor fitting seat. It's supposed to fit a '12 Wide Glide, but doesn't. The mounting tang was 3/4 of an inch up off the fender bung. I had to use a 1/4x1" bolt to attach it, but couldn't pull it down to where it should be. So there's a large gap between the seat and fender. It's not made as well as I expected either. It sure isn't worth the 279 bucks I paid for it. I'm very disapointed
