Mustang Motorcycle Solo with Driver Backrest Original — 2006-2017 Harley-Davidson Softail Wide

First: The seat LOOKS really good. The diamond stitching and brown color look fantastic on my silver 2014 Fat Boy. Mustang's quality is easy to see in the seat.<br /><br />HOWEVER... I purchased this seat with the first-hand knowledge that the Mustang Vintage Wide Touring seat is an amazingly comfortable seat and others seemed to think that this Daytripper was just as comfortable. I was VERY disappointed after fitting it onto my bike and going for a ride. The seat itself is only barely marginally more comfortable (to me, at least) than the stock HD seat. I do really like the back support, but the seat just is nowhere near the comfort level of the Vintage Wide Touring seat. I am even more disappointed that I can't return the seat after trying it out, as the return policy for seats states that if the seat shows ANY SIGNS of fitment onto the bike, they can not take it back. I personally think that is rather poor; without being able to try out the exact seat on the exact model of bike, there's no way of knowing if you'll like it or not. These seats aren't inexpensive by a long shot, so not being able to return one after trying it out is a real kick in the teeth (not to mention wallet). So I have shelled out another $470 on a Vintage Wide Touring seat, and hopefully can sell this Daytripper for only a small loss.

The seat looks great on my bike. The diamond stitching adds a nice touch. It sits me lower and a little further back than my stock seat. I am 6'3'' so every little bit helps. The seat is firm compared to stock but much more comfortable. After exhaustive research, I'm glad I made this choice. Thumbs up to Mustang!!

Worth every penny!

This seat is hands down the best upgrade I've made for comfort. I initially tried the Harley-Davidson Sundowner, which was better than stock, but this is on another level.<br /><br />I used to have back pain after about an hour of riding, now I can ride all day without any issues. The passenger pad is a big improvement as well.<br /><br />The backrest is a must, it adds a ton of support, especially at highway speeds, and completely eliminates fatigue

Nice, looking see, but anything called the troopers should be more comfortable and the fact that he didn't tell me it would push me forward. What's a disappointment? I'm looking to sell the season soon. Find something More comfortable.

A Bit Too Small

I had a Mustang seat and wanted one with a back rest. I thought I ordered a direct replacement, but I didn't. The Tripper felt ok but just not as comfortable as my touring seat, which is noticeably wider and not as deep. I thought the Tripper actually looked better, but form always follows function so I had to send it back and get the touring model. If I wasn't such a big guy, I think the Tripper would have been a winner.

I've only had this seat for a couple of weeks. It seems to be very well made and my wife and granddaughter both say it is really comfortable.<br />I have no complaints whatsoever.

2007 harley night train. Looks good on bike and very comfortable. I went through 3 other seats before this seat. All others did not look good on bike

this seat is great! it came w a cool install trick that some might not be aware of. fit perfectly and feels great! very comfortable.

Love the seat. Looks great on my 2012 Fatboy. The seat keeps me in place and is more comfortable than stock. I just wish I could have found the seat ready with the driver backrest without buying it right away.

Seat was just like the photo and it was exactly what I wanted. No problems with the fit to bike. Only reason for only four stars it it is not as comfortable as I had hoped, but it is better than the stock seat. Thank you.

Great looking and comfortable seat, fits perfectly on my 2010 fatboy.

Had to return because it did not fit with my stock drivers seat. There was a gap between the passenger and drivers seat that I did not like but still looking for a better one

without the backrest the seat i found extremely uncomfortable, hard to find a good spot to rest in it. <br /><br />I'm 6'0 230 lbs

Bought this to replace the stock seat on a Night Train, which is basically, just for looks. Its pretty stiff out of the box, but I can already tell the rider & this passenger seat are a 1000% improvement over stock. The rider seat feels like Im seating in a gloved palm. Pretty damn comfy

Love love love this seat. I have chronic lower back issues and recently bruised my tailbone slipping down the stairs and thought my riding season was over until I put on this seat. Backrest and seat position help elevate pressure on tailbone while support lower back. Awesome. And looks nice too!

Best addition I've made to my bike this year. Rode 562 miles today with the new seat with back rest and I feel as though I could go another 500. Seat and back rest are very comfortable and I did not get sore or fatigued on this all day ride. To put it simply, I think this seat and back rest combo is worth every penny I paid for it. Thanks for a great product!

Fits, Feels and Looks Great on my Night Train!

GREAT seat good low back support

Great seat. Provides good back support, no slide in the seat.

Bad ass seat. Looks good, comfortable & sits nice & low but a little forward.

Very comfortable, but had to move my fuelpack as there was no room towards the back of the underneath side of the seat where it was originally placed. Actually very, very little room underneath the seat. Mustang should really look at the room that is needed for items under the seat.
