If you are 6 ft or over and want the air to clear over your head, buy the taller one. I have both, the lowboy and this one. The low boy will put you head right in the middle of the airstream and the noise will be unbearable. This is on a XL1200N

Windscreen replacement for 1987 FXLR.

I have been riding around for long time with a very scratchy windshield on my 1987 FXLR. The problem was getting a close enough match so that I didn't have to deal with new mounting kits. This replacement ,item #850207, was a PERFECT match to the one previously installed when the bike was new. ... and it only took a day to get here!.

Exactly what I wanted for 94 Sportster

Got this as a demo, so price was right. Already have the short Ranger which looks great, but I wanted more wind protection for the winter. This gives it. Solid mount, 4 screws to install on mounting kit. It is in fact heavy duty. Got rid of the helmet buffeting above 50 I had with the Ranger. This will stay on unti it warms up, then off it comes for the summer. May still put the Ranger on for summer rain.

For Heavy Duty Ranger

The whole line of National Heavy Duty windshields are great. I use a Ranger on my 02 Low Rider and its perfect for me. Keeps the highway wind off my torso and my head in the wind as I like it. No buffetting, just clean air. The screen isn't too big for the bike and the protection is just what I was looking for. Wouldn't it be nice if the taller windshield would fit the same mounting hardware for more protection in the winter? I'll be looking into that. National is my go-to windshield company.

Just put this on my '08 Sportster XL1200C, Fit great with the suggested mounting brackets I ordered. Cuts back on wind big time! Love it, makes my ride much more enjoyable.

Some difficulty to install. Had to use old brakets. otherwise its a nice addition to the bike.
