100% waterproof with electronically taped seams throughout — designed to keep you dry in heavy rain. Includes breathable mesh lining to reduce condensation.

How small does it pack?

The entire jacket folds and stuffs into a self-contained pocket sewn inside, making it compact enough to fit in a top box or saddle bag.

Does the hood work well for riding?

The soft tricot-lined integrated hood is designed to layer under a helmet and covers your neck and shoulders when unzipped from the collar area.

What's the warranty?

Nelson-Rigg backs this jacket with a 2-year manufacturer warranty against defects.

Is this jacket for warm or cold weather?

This is a rain jacket best suited for mild to warm riding. The breathable mesh lining and ventilation system keep it from being too heavy, but it's not insulated for cold weather.

One of the best systems for riding the thunderstorms

Used this on my cross-country trip from NYC to KeyWest to Deadhorse Alaska and it did not let a single drop of water penetrate. Combine this with the solo pants and you can ride through thunderstorms and come out dry on the other end. The internal mesh lining helps with air circulation so that you don't sweat like some of the other systems I have tested in the past. Comfortably fits over my riding gear and folds into the back pocket so you don't have to carry a separate pouch for it, you can also roll the pants along with the jacket for a single pack that you can throw in your bag and go riding to your heart's content.

Best rain jacket at an excellent price

Excellent rain protection. I just rode an hour in pouring rain on the highway, and stayed dry. The jacket is baggy enough so I can wear my leather jacket underneath, and the sleeves are long enough so the cuffs are in the right position. The hood prevented any water from rolling down my back. The jacket is long and there are draw strings so I could make it tight on the bottom.

I bought these to replace an old rain suit I had that was more "resistant". I got a chance to ride in some heavy rain around town - I did about 20 miles or so and the jacket kept me dry. It was much bigger than I thought it would be for an XL. Fits probably more like a 3XL, but that will be good for when I put it over my leather jacket.
Only way this could be better is if there was a way to keep the super long sleeves up to they are a little shorter, or smaller and not flapping in the wind (maybe something like what the pants have at the bottom)

Great fit

Just received the stormrider rain jacket. It was well packaged and arrived a day early. The jacket has a high grade material feel to it.
I'm 5' 10" and weigh 210. I usually wear an XL in a jacket. I ordered the large and it fits very well. Plenty of room for a sweatshirt or jacket underneath. It will even fit well with just a tee shirt, just tighten the straps and velcro. It is very comfortable.
I have not worn it in the rain yet, but I believe it will do just fine.

Questionable quality

Two things I don't like about the jacket. On the very first day I used it, there was a thread hanging along side the hook and loop material which would be used to secure a flap of material over the length of the zipper. Since it was a long thread I gave it a tug so I could cut it off. Turns out about 6 inches of the hook and loop material became detached from the jacket. So I would say the jacket has dubious quality issues. The other thing I had a problem with is that the jacket is not breathable and doesn't really vent well, making the the jacket hot and sweaty while using it in warm weather. Of course, I didn't expect "breathable" at this price, but had hoped for better venting. Otherwise, it's a good looking jacket and fits well. The second day of use was a very wet day with heavier rains. When sitting on the bike, the jacket was somewhat bunched up which created "channels" for the rain to accumulate. Occasionally that water would run thru the flap, then the zipper and soaking my shirt. I'm not sure if that problem was a result of the unsecured Velco on the flap.
